I have heard and sung this song hundreds of times over the past 35 years, but this is the way I always imagined it could and should be performed. Thank you!
Beautiful, our choir is doing this this year, I might not see this comment in ages and to any other choirs performing that see this best of luck and may it sound like this masterpiece
My high school choir sight read this yesterday. Great piece!
This is an amazing piece
Hello to anyone in the Ill. Glee Club in the early to mid-seventies. I sang bass and would love to hear from anyone out there (especially Dave O.). (You can simply reply to this post.) I worked as an overseas professor for many years (when this concert occurred), and a transfer in location may have prevented me from learning about this concert. God bless you guys, especially anyone reading this.
Ohhhh, very nice effect between the Old Guys and the Current Guys. Kinda missed the Marching Song, but this was a good variation. And it explains why the front rows were so empty for the other songs. Bravo, Dr. Coleman and arranger Michael Richardson!
I will be performing this with the San Diego Mens Chorus in April. And, this will be my practice piece. Thank you for posting.
Ok, couple of entrances not together, but wow, what a sound! Loved the interpretation of the last verse!
yesss!!!!!!!!!!
Brothers, Sing On.
Very Nice
In the Original song this tune Os too greet the Visitors of OTHERE MEN'S CHORUSES THIS SONG WAS PREMIERED BY A 200 STRONG TRONDER KOR
Kam Harris saw this and said it was racist and sexist, and should not be allowed.
This song was for The first ever Songerfest that's was held in Norway
Could have used a bit more from the first tenors, in a couple places. But otherwise a very nice performance.
One thing they messed up with is the messo piano on care and sorrow and youth
A lot of chorus can't get that part right
