      Well the thing is. When there is enough force it will have to do something. Like in a pressure cooker if there's to much pressure it will blow. But since these Legos are connected together with many peices they have no choice to break apart. Because that's there weakest spot. But it could of course somehow break

    The speeds are obviously wrong except for the 5 kph. The fact that a fall that wasn't off the roof of a parking garage or the 7th storey window of a building did more damage than the supposed 80 kph impact is proof.

    • @LegoTechnicCrash
      @LegoTechnicCrash  2 года назад +51

      When the fall was made the car was already quite disassembled and that is why it seems that it suffers more damage, also it was not released from the height but it was thrown with force ... however thanks for commenting

    with my verry rough calculations: guessing one tile of your floor is 50cm long it took the car 10frames to go across 2 tiles at 60fps thats 21km/h Wich looks about right.
    80km/h is 2222cm/s wich is 44 tiles per second or 1333cm in 10 frames (26 tiles) and not 2

    • @thuds3715
      @thuds3715 2 года назад +2

    Those speeds didn't look quite right to me so I went digging. At 1:11 you can see that car (which is 50 cm long) takes up roughly two tiles, I'm going to be generous and say a tile is 30cm. At 1:03 you can see the car took 5 frames to travel 3 tiles. Assuming 30 fps footage (which this is, you can count them yourself) means the car travelled 0.9 meters in 1/6 of a second. That's 5.4m/s or 19.44 km/h which is very much not 80km/h like advertised.

    • @LegoTechnicCrash
      @LegoTechnicCrash  2 года назад +1

      I appreciate the time and trouble you have taken to calculate it, I used a laser speed meter and in the 80 km/h test the meter gave me a measurement of 77 km/h, it is true that I rounded to 80. the video is recorded in uhd 30 frames per second and some parts at 240 frames per second.

    Gives speed reading for the tests on the floor when he probably doesn’t know the actual speed without calculating the frame rate vs movement of the car compared to the tile distance on the floor. But doesn’t give a speed reading for the drop which is a way more simple calculation using height and gravity.

    Lego technic is much more durable than regular bricks. I used to be able to throw some of my technic things down the stairs and they wouldn’t break

    • @LegoTechnicCrash
      @LegoTechnicCrash  2 года назад +1

      yes, totally agree. If you throw Lego sets of other types than technic down the stairs, they will not last at all, the pieces will be smashed.

      @@LegoTechnicCrash with my verry rough calculations: guessing one tile of your floor is 50cm long it took the car 10frames to go across 2 tiles at 60fps thats 21km/h Wich looks about right.

    • @LegoTechnicCrash
      @LegoTechnicCrash  2 года назад +1

      Yes, I'll explain. I have created a spring shuttle platform, which can be adjusted by tightening or loosening the springs. with it I could launch it even faster, but the shuttle itself disassembles part of the car when launching it from the force it makes
