Its nice to know that some car makers are listening to their customers and critics about their shortfalls and doing their best to rectify them, if all brands did this it would be a lot easier to pick a good car.
Thanks for your coverage. I like the way you don't pull any punches. Do you know when you will get to review the 2025 GT? They appear to be improving rapidly, so I'm getting genuinely interested.
Im confused with the wired apply carplay/android auto. I test drove an Omoda earlier this year and it did have wireless android auto. I had mine connected for the test drive.
Honestly, the potential issue is the EV version of this. In NZ it's $48k NZD +ORC or 44k AUD and it doesn't have a stupid grill. If they're aggressive, it could be the model to get.
the near 10 year old Vitara suggestion is an odd one ... maybe in the base 2WD spec , or 2nd hand, for sure.. but if you want a proper AWD alternative the Crosstrek is it over that thing, even if the engine isn't the best
Love this guy. Cannot wait for his review of the Omoda C9. I am in the market in 2025 for a new car and sadly cannot have an EV due to moving into a new apartment construction with zero charging capabilities. Yeah right…how has this been allowed? Anyway, I am torn. Think maybe as an older lady retiree that the C9 may be too large for me. But I am loving the luxury this model has. With this C5 GT I am encouraged that those bloody awful red accents are optional. But why does 95% of Aussie cars all have BLACK interiors? Hate that. In my humble opinion, most of our current SUVs on the road are totally same-same in their exterior design. The Omodas are unique. As is my current car. A 2021 Peugeot 3008 GT.
The front end looks are very much a personal liking (or not). Chery show potential with this, but the fact they have an EV version coming soon with better front end looks, suggests there’s potential for far more. I don’t like the piano black inside, but instruments and screens look okay. Chery is a major Chinese vehicle manufacturer and well regarded internationally. Driving experience seems okay, albeit the car is good, not excellent, and faces competition in its sector from some well made small SUV’s. If the EV version is well priced, and it surely looks better than the GT version up front, they could do well in sales here. If you’re coming out of an older car the Omoda 5 would seem good, but I’d look around before buying one. Pricing is attractive but it has excellent competition. Warranty’s good and servicing costs, hmmm, okay I guess. I look forward to the EV version review. Thanks for another excellent review!
Nope go hop in a bus🚌is a one-way ticket to public transportation but need to be patient while on the bus at gridlocks it's safer than encourage young ones to hop in a high-powered Omoda GT 4WD.
@@therightcar Really? Screw it, I'll just keep driving my low km V6 VE Commodore then. It'll probably be worth more than a Chinese vehicle within the next 5 years 😅

Love my Gt , the tech was annoying for 2 weeks, now l feel at one with the gt

Eager for this one!
does the 2024 model of the ex and bx have the same improvements over the older ones you tested or only this gt model?
The entire range sees the software improvements.
@@therightcar oh awesome thanks. 🙏
Has the software been improved in the 2023 models now?
I just bought a Haval H6 Ultra Hybrid for $42500 drive away. It is larger, has more power and is a hybrid. Such better value than this.
You have brought an excellent hybrid. When I need a new vehicle, I'll have a look at one.
We have a H6 hybrid also. Truly an awesome car
lol Matt 14:49 did you say ''nose intrusion '' [noise] you must be reading the things to mention?

Why do all these reviews keep stating the media screen needs USB? From 2023 models onwards Wireless Carplay and Android Auto are supported.
Is the rear view mirror improved in the GT model?
Did you watch the video? Yes, it is.
@@therightcar yes I did watch it but wanted to confirm as the current one is terrible
A sleeper company, perhaps. I like what I'm seeing from their two vehicles, and I never thought I'd say that of Chery.
For me the interior is far more attractive than the Suzuki. I'm only 5'5 only bothered by the lack of towing capacity.
Fair enough. The towing thing won’t change, sadly.
i just had a testdrive with the omoda5 premium model. and it looked much different to this one. I suppose this car in the video is the 2024 model.
Best part of the car … Now it doesn’t piss me off 😂

The grill doesn't thrill!
that’s so cute 😊😊😊😊😊

Car manufacturers please dont use piano finish anymore its annoying over time 😢
Bloody ugly : ie the car. 😂
Wtf is that a clown car 😂
Www t-roc made in China 😂🤣
🤪🧠 ITS SO FUNNY HOW AUSTRALIA CAN NOT MANUFACTURE CARS 🚗 😂😂😂
obsote ICE rubbish for this price it should be full EV
Can you recommend an electric alternative with the same features for the same price?
Looks like tata harrier
I can see that. But the Harrier is nicer.
The Chinese need to employ someone who can design grills. They all look terrible.
I think the grill is the best feature 😅
Perhaps an American rapper 😂
I think for a lot of Chinese SUVs, the proportions are whack.

I sincerely request you to search for the'baojun510'a Chinese car born in 2016,then evaluate whether the Harrier has copied it😊
