That'd be strawberry yogurt- not fresas con crema. Healthy alternative tho- especially with Greek yogurt ^.... a little bit of cinnamon on top wouldn't hurt 🫢

Lemme tell you, the struggle is REAL. However, please be careful of salicylates, as well (which, strawberries have high amounts of). They are in almost all fruits and vegetables (ironically, bananas are low in such - though, I get you can’t have the potassium. However, pears without the skin are low, also. I just spent a half hour cutting and peeling a bunch, to put ‘em in containers, in the fridge).. And salicylates, also, what’s used in Tylenol - as well as many beauty/grooming products. I have renal vascular issues, and had to put myself on a low-salicylate diet, this past week, because I have severe Ototoxicity/hearing loss, due to said renal issues - and the salicylates were making my hearing worse; amongst numerous issues, like skin rashes, breakouts, and ankle edema. I mean, in all fairness, it got worse due to a bioidentical progesterone cream, that had aspen bark - a salicylic acid - and I used it not knowing that I had a severe sensitivity to it (hearing loss started from other medications, well before, due to metabolic acidosis). Though, again, that’s the same thing that is used in Tylenol, which, isn’t great for kidneys. Also, if you have developed any skin issues and itchiness, from your renal failure - there is a chance it’s due to your kidneys not being able to remove such, from your body, effectively. Just thought I’d throw that out there - just in case. Best wishes, with everything. I so know how frustrating it all is. You totally got this.

It’s kinda reminds me of a old dessert we have back home in Denmark. It’s a vanilla cream you pour over your strawberries and every summer you see people go out to the fields to pick strawberries and then go home to make this. I forgot about that. Brings back memories, thank you for sharing ❤

So I found out you don’t have to use baking soda and vinegar you could use one or the other apparently they cancel each each other out that’s what all that fizzing is about
I was gonna say we all wash our dishes with soap because of the low pH levels. Mixing Baking Soda and Vinegar would just neutralize that and not disrupt the cell walls of any bad bacteria to destroy them. Unless it happens that fast? Idk the rate at which it happens exactly, if that part matters.
The vinegar’s ph cancels out the ph of the baking soda. When I do dishes, I soak them in the sink with 50% white vinegar and 50% hot water for 30 mins and *then rinse* and scrub the dishes with a mixture of dish soap and baking soda in the way that you would with regular dish soap, then rinse and dry as normal.
I just washed strawberries today and I put vinegar amd my mom said baking soda too and I gave her the same reason. You can only use one at a time. I spray down my bathroom with vinegar then rinse it and use baking soda to scrub

Adding vinegar makes the water acidic. Adding making soda introduces a base. So all ur doing is either diluting ur acidic water or basic water (depending upon how much of each you use).

My dad use to make a dessert that had a tin of fruit salad, not the fruit cocktail that has cherries, he'd drain them, add sliced bananas, chopped or small marshmallows, some grated coconut and sour cream, it was amazing, not sour at all. I think it's because of the sweet fruits it turns out sweet and creamy, but not overly sweet

I think the best way I can describe media crema is kind of like a heavy cream or heavy whipping cream. It’s not sweet like condensed milk, but it’s also thicker than evaporated milk. We use it in our fresas con crema more for the creaminess and texture since it’s not sweet :)
The other day i chopped 4 strawberries and slapped 2 spoonfuls of greek yogurt added like 1 teaspoon sugar and it was perfect no hassle and healthier 🤭😶

@@kylagirlyProbably the unbaked, refrigerator style "cheesecake". It uses sour cream, unflavored gelatin, cream cheese, vanilla, & a bit of lemon juice, put into a graham cracker pie crust. It's good in a pinch, but not real cheesecake. Very similar to the Jello brand cheesecake dessert mixes you can buy in grocery stores.

There's this cake called a honey bun cake that uses sour cream in the cake. It's honestly one of the best cakes I've tried, and my family loves it.

No! Vinegar is and acid, and baking soda is a base. Mixing make both useless in seconds.

One of my coworkers makes this and I swear if I hadn’t tried it before I knew it was sour cream I wouldn’t have! I can’t stand sour cream and thinking of it with strawberries sounds so disgusting to me, but this dessert that she makes is soooo good!! I don’t know if it’s the same exact recipe because I’m sure people make it different ways, but trust me…it is amazing. 🤤

Media crema, that translates to half cream. She is talking about half and half. Light cream. Coffee cream.
@@leenah9898 yes, the direct translation is half cream, but if you actually get a media crema can, you can see the cream inside is thick(almost like yogurt) and some of the cans actually have the words “table cream” right under the name to signify what it if for people who doesn’t know.

I think the best way I can describe media crema is kind of like a heavy cream or heavy whipping cream. It’s not sweet like condensed milk, but it’s also thicker than evaporated milk. We use it in our fresas con crema more for the creaminess and texture since it’s not sweet :)

Crumble Marias in it for a strawberry shortcake kind of vibe.
Backing soda = base
Vinegar = acid
Which means they cancel each other out and you’re not actually cleaning anything! Either or will do the trick :)
