Totally agree with all that you have said . I work in Higher Education, as an Environmental Professional , not an academic. Was working on PSW from 2022-24 , they have agreed to give me Sponsor certificate ( I am paying for everything else ) . Please note , new entrant rule only applies for 4 years after you graduate . So my employer will only sponsor me as a new entrant for further 2 years (2 years already gone on PSW) . After that I will have to meet £38700 threshold . I am on £35k at the moment and salary hike/year is not very promising .Hope I can find something else by then😢
Hey, 2 years are enough to get by 38700 if you're at 35k now. If not then with a solid 4yr work experience you can try other countries like Ireland. What package does your company offer for a fresher data analyst
Hi , I don’t think I can get to 38700 with a 3% salary rise per annum . Higher education is not getting many students due to visa rule changes . With regard to new jobs like Data Analyst it could pay around 32-34k , but no job openings are coming through right now .
@@varshasrivastava492 Ok. You can plan in advance if you feel that wage threshold is difficult to met. I hope you're aware that the criteria is 38700 or going rate whichever is higher. Try exploring work visas of other countries like Germany, Australia etc.
So, all in all you should be earning at least £30,960, if not higher, to secure a sponsorship for the new entrants, which seems difficult for recently graduated students.
Hi, Thank you for the video. I have only one question. What if the person is over 26, does the same rule apply on him after completing his studies.? thanks
Does this 70% going rate criteria apply to those people who are currently on a skilled worker visa but below the new threshold of 38700 and want to renew their visa like next year ?
What about someone who got their PSW on 2022, and then got Skilled Worker Visa in 2023? If they want to have a job in IT now under new employer, will they should be getting salary as of old scheme ? Or new ? Like for old if it was 26500, now 30960. Which one will be applicable on them ?
Thank you for explaining. I'm currently in Leicester, UK under Tier 4 Visa. I'm hoping to apply for Skilled Worker visa after my Masters. (Occupation code 3421 Kitchen Designers category). Would it be enough to show only £30,960 as salary? But, document says as "No" for eligibility to SW visa. See the last column. Could u pls answer as you are an expert?
can i still get visa if someone sponsors me with very less wage lets just say 20k per annum. i dont care about the skilled worker visa for pr. Just to live here for temporarily
Hi, I’m in student visa…I’m working in a company. My company mentioned that they applied for my skill visa in the month of February. Will I be falling under new salary range or will I be applicable for low salary range
Hi I'm planning for food science for September intake Is it worth coming, in future if I need a skilled worker visa I'll need to have 38000 salary? It would be really helpful if you can make a dedicated video for food scientist coz your videos are very practical
@@BritIndians I have 2 yrs of experience from India and now I'm planning for Master's. So make with some more skills can I expect to reach that salary?
Thanks for the quality information, I have a question, if we are eligible for all the points under new entrants but aged above 26 ! Will that be still okay ? Appreciate your input thank you :)
Most informative video thank you bro❤
Thank you
Thank you for the clear explanation for this new entrant rule. Can you also please explain what are the requirements for dependents also.

Dont forget to mention that this salsry table is for 37.5 hours per week. If working more the salary will be more.
Hello Sir
I'm a recent graduate and now holding PSW and I'm more than 26 years old. Am I eligible for 70% of going rate?
In this list i can see £23000 (70% rate) for many jobs.But y r u telling it is as a £30900
So, all in all you should be earning at least £30,960, if not higher, to secure a sponsorship for the new entrants, which seems difficult for recently graduated students.
Exactly
And around 36000gbp for IT/program/ai domain ....new entrant
How about some profession for which 70% ongoing rate is listed 30840
Etc ? it is clearly below 30960.
Can we bring dependants on £30,960?

For visa renewal you have to refer to Table 2 in the document link and check the going rate for your job code.

May I know if this new entrant visa period ( which I believe will be 2 year's if currently on PSW) is included for 5 years route?
can i still get visa if someone sponsors me with very less wage lets just say 20k per annum. i dont care about the skilled worker visa for pr. Just to live here for temporarily
or to get visa you need to have minimum 30k per annum?
please reply
New Entrant can lead to IRL? How many years?
Is the 70% right, I have heard from other sources it's 80% could you confirm.
So people who are aged 26 above, won’t come under new entrant rule?
There are many criteria’s for new entrant.
People on student visa or psw visa will come under new entrant category as well.
what about over age 26

It is quite hard to get £38000 per annum for food science.
