- Tirthan Valley is located in Kullu District of Himachal Pradesh. Tirthan Valley derives it's name from river 'Tirthan' which has formed this beautiful valley. Full of beautiful forests and wildlife, this valley is also considered as a gateway to the famous 'Great Himalayan National Park'.
This offbeat destination, will surprise you with it's peaceful surroundings, where you can still witness some of the traditional Himachali ways of living, including beautiful, yet old villages which are still trying to preserve their culture and heritage.

If you plan to use public transport, get down at Aut and take a bus to Banjar. There are multiple buses from Aut to Banjar. From Banjar you can rent bikes for INR1000-1500 per day. Scooters are also available but would be difficult to take scooters to Jalori pass.

You’ll get best amenities, food, and friendly staff in Riverwalk, Tirthan. It is at best location as well. Near to Chhoie waterfall trek, it’s like 100 mtrs approx from property. Property will cost less compare to the ytubers

Either it’s Sarchu or Jibhi, you’ll find that property at the center. Moreover, Chhoie waterfall trek is like 100 meters away from the property. Yep, I also checked. Choiee waterfall is like 1-1.2km hike from the main road, no matter where you stay. Rest there are many options there, cheaper and expensive both on the same road.

Thank you Swini. Hoodie should be good as minimum temperature is around 17-18 degrees. It will be pleasant in the afternoon. Plus if you are traveling from Delhi, 17-18 will be definitely pleasant 😇

Definitely these destinations are awesome. Also, if you want a relaxed, pleasant stay with your parents and family then go for it. However, keep this in mind that infrastructure/facilities in Tirthan and near by areas cannot be compared to Manali. Roads are a bit narrow and you can’t take your vehicle(specially big vehicles) everywhere (to avoid getting stuck), and some bit of walking may be required. Otherwise, I can confidently say that you’ll enjoy your time in Tirthan and Jibhi a lot if you are a true nature lover.

How much time for car ride from chandigarh to tirthan?
You can take the preferred route suggested by Google maps. I don’t remember exactly how much it took us last time, but road conditions and weather play an important role.
Just be prepared to drive on narrow roads once you reach Tirthan

We are coming from train. So we were thinking to hire any two-wheeler if available.

All throughout the year, however winters may be really cold but March to October is usually the best time to visit.
Cottage is too costly, valley is superb.
Property rates are subjective, but definitely Tirthan is really pristine (not sure for how long will it remain the same )
Today, we went to tirthan valley, BUT unfortunately couldn't find even a single free room. All home stays and hotels were booked here.
We were shocked and disappointed

Best way to search hotel room is, look for this hotel in google map and then you can see other hotels which are close to this property which may fit the budget. River side are usually expensive but there are many hotels which are close to river and may be a little cheaper😇😇

Depends on season, should be between around 5-6k. We paid 5k

Ambala and Kiratpur railway station is the nearest railway station to reach Tirthan Valley. After that, you have to hire a private cab or public transport to reach Jibhi or Tirthan Valley. Bus is next best option.

Extremely overpriced Suket Cafe another over hyped restaurant by social influencers
It is expensive no doubt and same as Gurgaon but no where we have said people should stop there nor we have praised it food. We just wanted to eat some coffee hence we stopped here.
Please stop doing these riverside cottages vlogs. Who makes cottages on the mountain river side or inside the river ? 2013 no one learnt . hope 2023 will teach all ... river is good. But best is to stay away
There is no impact in Tirthan that much. Unless govt allows these cottages will run. Also, most of the Tirthan valley has river side cottages only.

Hi Harshit, you can take the route suggested by Google maps and rely on the same. We did the same thing. Just analyse the diversions (if any) and check weather conditions
