Lovesick is a stand-alone classic and is the soundtrack from the series. When you're in NYC and in the afternoon you walk in a cafe and the soundtrack is playing it is hard not to feel emotional. Grateful for Cptain I always loved him. I hope he can find someone who treats him right.
Lovesick was my first BL, I can’t believe it has been ten years! But I remember being enchanted by the story more than the actors. I watched it a dozen times at least! If I’m honest I think White was never really a great actor. Whilst Captain had terrible luck being involved a crazy person. At the moment I feel BL and gmmtv is really stagnate, it’s been ages since I’ve found myself riveted to a story. But I think that should just encourage the whole community to be creative!

I didn’t know about the racism or other prejudices. They are actors that regret being perceived as gay men so they overreact in a shameful way to cope with their own discomfort. It’s Sad to see that White Career really didn’t take off like How TayNew, OffGun and Krist and Singto did, these are the OGs of BL Series Couple, TayNew and OffGun still very Successful in BL Series with their Recent “Cherry Magic” and “Cooking Crush” and then upcoming with The Trainee and Peaceful Properties, they are still very Active and even having their Own Shows from GMMTV, they are Undoubtedly the Most Beloved and Most Protected BL Series Couple of all time and they still Stood the Test of Time with all these Young Talent like FourthGemini, PondPhuwin coming up……etc but still I do Wish White nothing but the Best, I wanted to see Him Win 😊💙
Ive lost count of how many times I rewatched Lovesick. So it’s like those actors never disappeared from my screen. I knew about the demise of a few but with this video putting it side by side, Im shocked. Poor Captain. Hopefully he found some major role and restore/cement his place in the industry.
Saw a later video that there was a "fallout" between Mike and Top as Mike's GF (at the time) was very Homophobic and aggrssively stated condescendingly hateful statements about the company in general and the other BL Actors who worked there. Right after that, Mike and Crist started in a BL Series that didn't do very well. I liked Top's acting ability. Mike is an okay actor too......but just "ok". I honestly can't remember him acting in a strong supporting lead role.
There are so many rumors that get spread and no one knows the truth. There were also rumors that mikes girlfriend was godji and she was jealous. The mike krist series didn't happen. Mike dropped out and was replaced with Gawin Caskey. The show (Be My Favorite) received quite a bit of praise.

But even back then there was controversy with his gf. I thought his downfall might be with gf, but I can't believe that it's Captain whose downfall was due to gf, while White was due to his mouth. 😅
I am sorry, but you need to learn what the word tragic means in English. This cast hasnt had a tragic fate at all. You are also completely ignoring the cast members who have found success in other things and you are also assuming they all wanted to act. Actord from Love Sick who are still successful and popular: August (despite the gossip talked about here, which is IMO just total fan speculation), Sing, Samantha, Gameplay (his career has faded a bit), Mean, and the directors Cheewin (Playboyy, Why R U, and New (We Are, UWMA, LBC). This also ignores the fact that most actors in Thai BL do a few series and then fade out. With the exception of Ohm, Singto and Gun/Off, most of them do a few BLs and leave to do other things. Actually, I would argue that the Love Sick cast is the most successful and that Love Sick has had the most enduring and lasting effect in BL of any series.

Toey's girlfriend didn't publicly accuse him of things. Dead people can't spread rumours. As for Pawin: I don't think there was an innocent person in the dispute, apart from the woman who got his by the computer that was thrown out the window.
I remember seeing the freaking teasers for Lovesick before the drama even came out. I have loved it since day 1 and have rewatched it more times than I could count. Ik they're remaking it now but nobody could recapture the magic of the original before BL had a specific feel and formula. They were young and inexperienced and it showed, but it also had a genuine feel to it that I haven't felt from a BL since. Could just be nostalgia, but I was a BL fan for a while before Lovesick came out, too (albeit our options back then were few and often tragic).. I followed Captain for a few years after LS, but I never knew about his controversy! Poor guy. I wish the original LS cast the best ♡
Nothing beats the original. I loved it to death. But I must confess the current cast are good too! As a Ngern/Earn fan, I am thankful the actor playing Earn (I still have to memorize his name as I'm still in Ep2) is such a cutie pie! I wonder how this current LS version will deal with Earn who was so pitiful in the series and didn't really have a lot of scenes in the book.
I think the main issue is that most of the people that played side characters got typecasted into only playing side characters and then the main actors were forced to sink or swim. Then if you really think about it a lot of their publicity drama boils down to bad training. Considering most of the actors were either in or had just finished high school, they really lacked the maturity to handle thier newfound fame. They should have taken some time out of the limelight and trained on how to manage thier public image. Then maybe acted in some smaller roles and participated in some commercial work so that they could have a more well rounded public image.
Because they came first and the bl industry was not then what it is today. The opportunities simply did not exist until they were all too old to play the roles in the very youth obsessed genre. When they started it took a week for subbed episodes to be posted on youtube by unpaid fans who simply wanted to look out for international fans (shout out to Lazy Subber, you were the realest of them all) the scandles listed in this video aren't even valid because the occured several years after the show ended. Regardless many of these actors paved the way and will always be princes of the BL kingdom forever. And im so happy to see so many of them participating in recent projects.
I’d say they’re lack of success isnt due to lukewarm controversies. But rather to the very point that you made in the video, it was a decade ago. They were there at the very beginning. Since then the BL industry is a much different place. Not to mention the BL explosion came many years after their debut. So by simply being in BL they were type casted and black listed from many non BL roles. Its something that still happens to this day. With all of them nearing 30 or older there just isnt much room for them in the very young and fit industry that it has become. Much like Kpop. They are all great actors and im sure as more production companies create BL stories and the industry stops being overly dominated by GMMTV their lights will get the chance to shine. That and older male stories being told. Frankly Highschool/ College engineer/med student stories are getting boring. Of course that just my opinion since I was there 10 years ago for Love Sick’s debut and even before that. So my interest in whats squeal worthy has shifted.

Because these BL actors. Like many now. Are not gay. They took the role to boost their careers. White was just a supporter actor in this last latest series that just finished. He was also the second couple with Earth in theory of love. But they had no chemistry and never shared a kiss. Just a hug. Earth next partner was in 1000 stars. Right before BL started to become popular. Many of the BL actors at the time. In interviews and lives. They Would say they are not gay. They prefer woman. It’s just a paycheque. Fan service was not as bad as it is now so they had free range to just talk. When BL became very popular. A lot of these old clips was suddenly removed from the internet. I still however saw one of Perth old interviews videos when he did Love By Chance. He was asked if he prefers men or woman. He said he prefers woman. After Love By Chance. He did say he was not going to do anymore BL’s. Just finish the contracts ones he already signed. However. Two years ago. He dropped his company and went with GMMTV and have a new partner Chimmon. As BL became famous. The fan service increased and the more they censored their actors. I was watching BL’s before it became popular. A lot of these actors were saying and doing a lot of it have been removed off Soical media. And naive people thinks all these BL actors are gay and are with their on screen partners.
When I heard back then that Beam Papangkord had died, I felt so devastated. I loved him in Waterboyy the the series with Ngern Anupart Luangsodsai. Beam was not only handsome. He was an excellent but was underrated. Rest in peace, Beam!
Am not sure what could have happened. The show for me is one BL that lives on. Their chemistry that young was beautiful to watch and to imagine that they debut with the show

Girl there's no problem in clarifying that they're not gay, but why get angry about it? He could've just said it normally, but he got offended that someone could think of him as gay. That's just plain old homophobia. And "disrespected his heterosexuality" 💀💀 you can't be serious. Straight people don't know a quarter of the struggles a queer person does. And saying "all sexualities should be respected", although it is true, but saying it in this context is really harmful because it promotes a false notion that straightness getting "insulted" is the same as gayness being insulted, when it's not. watched this video expecting the downfall of White's career due to his behaviors... but ended up sad with Beam's story mentioned here ... and i just hate how Sing was skipped even in this video. Sing was in both seasons of Lovesick until he signed with GMMTV and underutilized him, only giving some lead-side cast on The Gifted. 😓
One thing about this whole situation are kids rosing to fame. I can't blame them acting immature or too proud. The BL series didn't expect such popularity and you can see that they weren't mentally prepared. I'm a fan of this BL and I've been there since it rose to fame. The attitude of the actors are too far from the actors today. If you are going to compare them to BL actors they weren't able to set a certain standard of professionalism. Another reason is the lack in competition. If you are going to notice no popular BL couple were on the same height as them during that time. They probably thought that what they have is irreplaceable. BL has come too far. Actors nowadays are well built but as an old fan I can't help but worry a lot of times. If I'm stanning genuine people or are they acting so they can keep making fans happy. 😅
Love Sick the Series and the fabulously crazy international fans! I even had private Messenger interactions with Ngern's dad and August's mom, resulting in Ngern gifting me with greetings, fansigns, even wearing the tshirt I had sent him through a request coursed thru his dad. I also got some greetings and fansigns from August, through his mom. I was never happier. So grateful and amazed on how engaged the parents were with the fans. No more interactions now though. Same here. And I was a diehard Ngern/Earn fan. Back then...we had to wait for the English subtitles. Today, it's part of the video!

As a Ngern/Earn fan, I am thankful the actor playing Earn (I still have to memorize his name as I'm still in Ep2) is such a cutie pie! I wonder how this current LS version will deal with Earn who was so pitiful in the series and didn't really have a lot of scenes in the book.

I think the main issue is that most of the people that played side characters got typecasted into only playing side characters and then the main actors were forced to sink or swim.
Then if you really think about it a lot of their publicity drama boils down to bad training. Considering most of the actors were either in or had just finished high school, they really lacked the maturity to handle thier newfound fame. They should have taken some time out of the limelight and trained on how to manage thier public image. Then maybe acted in some smaller roles and participated in some commercial work so that they could have a more well rounded public image.
Because they came first and the bl industry was not then what it is today. The opportunities simply did not exist until they were all too old to play the roles in the very youth obsessed genre. When they started it took a week for subbed episodes to be posted on youtube by unpaid fans who simply wanted to look out for international fans (shout out to Lazy Subber, you were the realest of them all) the scandles listed in this video aren't even valid because the occured several years after the show ended. Regardless many of these actors paved the way and will always be princes of the BL kingdom forever. And im so happy to see so many of them participating in recent projects.
I’d say they’re lack of success isnt due to lukewarm controversies. But rather to the very point that you made in the video, it was a decade ago. They were there at the very beginning. Since then the BL industry is a much different place. Not to mention the BL explosion came many years after their debut. So by simply being in BL they were type casted and black listed from many non BL roles. Its something that still happens to this day. With all of them nearing 30 or older there just isnt much room for them in the very young and fit industry that it has become. Much like Kpop. They are all great actors and im sure as more production companies create BL stories and the industry stops being overly dominated by GMMTV their lights will get the chance to shine. That and older male stories being told. Frankly Highschool/ College engineer/med student stories are getting boring. Of course that just my opinion since I was there 10 years ago for Love Sick’s debut and even before that. So my interest in whats squeal worthy has shifted.
I agree with many of your points... LS was pioneer in many ways but that made the storyline unique now its the same stuff packaged up in shiny new bow... one of the reason I've stopped watching Thai BL...
Because these BL actors. Like many now. Are not gay. They took the role to boost their careers. White was just a supporter actor in this last latest series that just finished. He was also the second couple with Earth in theory of love. But they had no chemistry and never shared a kiss. Just a hug. Earth next partner was in 1000 stars. Right before BL started to become popular. Many of the BL actors at the time. In interviews and lives. They Would say they are not gay. They prefer woman. It’s just a paycheque. Fan service was not as bad as it is now so they had free range to just talk. When BL became very popular. A lot of these old clips was suddenly removed from the internet. I still however saw one of Perth old interviews videos when he did Love By Chance. He was asked if he prefers men or woman. He said he prefers woman. After Love By Chance. He did say he was not going to do anymore BL’s. Just finish the contracts ones he already signed. However. Two years ago. He dropped his company and went with GMMTV and have a new partner Chimmon.
As BL became famous. The fan service increased and the more they censored their actors. I was watching BL’s before it became popular. A lot of these actors were saying and doing a lot of it have been removed off Soical media. And naive people thinks all these BL actors are gay and are with their on screen partners.

When I heard back then that Beam Papangkord had died, I felt so devastated. I loved him in Waterboyy the the series with Ngern Anupart Luangsodsai. Beam was not only handsome. He was an excellent but was underrated. Rest in peace, Beam!
Captain suffered because of that fake pregnancy. He did lose his fame on that.
Am not sure what could have happened. The show for me is one BL that lives on. Their chemistry that young was beautiful to watch and to imagine that they debut with the show
To sum up, these actors are suspected by fans of things they could think... they should be judged for their acting performance only!
Captain's career has never been the same since the lying scandal came out. He's being punished indirectly even though it's not his fault.
To be honest, I never really heard about Captain's "scandal" until now. I feel sad for him. I hope he has fully recovered.

Some fans take it too far. Krist from SOTUS got a big backlash and got branded homophobic when he yelled on IG to stop calling him gay, and that he is not gay and that he is straight. The fans had disrespected his heterosexuality. No sexuality should be abused. They started calling him homophobic cause he yelled. Anyone would yell and even punch ppl if they kept calling a straight man gay or a gay man straight. It's like the BL industry thinks only the pain of LGBT ppl is valid?? Only their gender and sexuality should be protected? There is a common trope in bl where women are always portrayed as villians trying to come in between a gay love. In reality not a single woman will go after a known gay man. Straight women date straight men. Marry straight men. They even wrote notes saying to call them for dowry to propose to Singto. It's mad behavior. If someone's sexuality is insulted, their anger is perfectly justified. However I agree in this video, they made phobic jokes, which is different.The reason why they are afraid is mainly because problems with GF/Wife might come up if fans keep insisting they are gay men. Fans need to know when to stop. They are actors playing gay roles. They are not actual gay men.

And saying "all sexualities should be respected", although it is true, but saying it in this context is really harmful because it promotes a false notion that straightness getting "insulted" is the same as gayness being insulted, when it's not. One thing about this whole situation are kids rosing to fame. I can't blame them acting immature or too proud. The BL series didn't expect such popularity and you can see that they weren't mentally prepared. I'm a fan of this BL and I've been there since it rose to fame. The attitude of the actors are too far from the actors today. If you are going to compare them to BL actors they weren't able to set a certain standard of professionalism.
Another reason is the lack in competition. If you are going to notice no popular BL couple were on the same height as them during that time. They probably thought that what they have is irreplaceable.
BL has come too far. Actors nowadays are well built but as an old fan I can't help but worry a lot of times. If I'm stanning genuine people or are they acting so they can keep making fans happy. 😅
Love Sick the Series and the fabulously crazy international fans! I even had private Messenger interactions with Ngern's dad and August's mom, resulting in Ngern gifting me with greetings, fansigns, even wearing the tshirt I had sent him through a request coursed thru his dad. I also got some greetings and fansigns from August, through his mom. I was never happier. So grateful and amazed on how engaged the parents were with the fans. No more interactions now though. Lol pls, it's obvious why White's popularity has gone down, it's cos he is just not handsome at all. He has a normal average looking face. By Asian standards, he might even be considered ugly, and BL industry is a very looks-focused industry. He is a terrific actor, and luckily he comes from a somewhat wealthy background. He can afford to stop acting.
