Discmania MD4.. its a bit bigger diameter but feels like an MD3. Flies straight with a good hookup and fade at the end of the flight. I'd love to see how it flies for you.
Also just got my flat top firebird in the mail, got a white one with red foil, looks DOPE! Been playing glow disc every night cuz it's dark when I'm out of work, excited to see how it actually flies in the daylight this weekend. Feels good in hand though!
I got into throwing the Roc3 recently, but it can get straight if you're not careful. I've been collecting a bunch to find the right ones. Just picked up a Pyro as well. And I have a Buzzz OS for certain holes that I know it's good for.
Been throwing the DD verdict in this spot since 2016. I've got a nice beat in 2021 lucid-x one that does exactly as your describing, light turn reliable pushy fade.
I'm throwing a Culprit for that spot in a bag. I have a lucid-x Verdict as well, but never bagged it. Proton Matrix is close to Verdict in flight for me and closer in rim shape to Culprit & Zone OS which I bag both.
Im still rocking the midnight flier stamp quake and i love it. Also got my brodbird in a couple days ago and man it is MONEY. Perfect replacement for my PFN star now that winter is coming in MN 🤝
My arm speed in ~55 and I live at altitude. I can hammer on a neutron hex or fission reactor and not flip them. No need for a pyro unless really windy.
Archive? The mango is also much less beefy than the numbers indicate, the distortion is also more faster for me than the 4 ,but i use the pyro forehand and the ultra or distortion backhand .
The Pyro Will Always have a place in my Bag I'm Learning to forehand and seeing you throw makes me want to give it a try I've always given forehand shots the Isaac Robinson treatment in just throwing a backhand anyway. But your content is making me want to step it up and add a forehand to my throws.
Q & A question…is the Trail really that good or is it just the latest overhyped disc? An in-depth analysis would be cool, comparing to different molds from other companies, etc. Thanks Brod, you rock!
Old school Innova made C-Line MD4 is my go-to pushy OS mid. Little deeper than the Ultra, but I don’t really forehand my mids - I usually prefer the Toro. Love it for what I wanted the BuzzzOS to be tho
Love my Pyro. Even at beating the crap out of it for over 2 years, it is still reliable. If anything, it pushes a little further before fading now. I know I can trust it 100%
Mine is 3 years old now and it's so glidey but what nobody talks about is the consistent skip it has. It always has the jump stop on all surfaces where a zone pig and Toro might just stick
everything everybody has said about the quake is true, but you seem like the kind of guy who needs to wake up and smell the trilogy roses: the verdict is soooo nice
@@andreww.9326 I threw the verdict for years and think it’s a great disc. That being said, it doesn’t fall into this category. It’s less overstable🤷🏽♂️

Terminal Velocity Ursus is an amazing overstable mid. I bag a Pyro and an Ursus. The Pyro is straighter and the Ursus is very overstable but still has forward push to it when you smack it. Ursus is very flat and feels great on the sidehand.
I really like the toro. Star toro to be exact. It gets some push, definitely some fade but it has some good skip. I use the pig if I want the same flight but need it to stick
So from my own experience with a good buddy that throws the Gator and Ultra. In comparison My Pyros will skip more, we're the Gator and Ultra will grab more. (Only a few holes do we have grass near the green, mostly dirt and roots.
Kotuku and EMac truth are my favorites. They aren’t quite that 3 fade, but I find the Kotuku to have very reliable fade. EMac doesn’t exactly fight wind how you’d expect, but still a great disc
Have you tried a Verdict? Was the OG Truth mold and similar handfeel to an EMAC but more overstable. Verdict was a great disc but they didn’t want to name it the “Truth” because DD felt that should describe a true-straight midrange. So they tweaked the mold to make the Truth. Then Emac signed and wanted something that could handle power and was more stable. Made the EMAC Truth. So Verdict, Truth, Emac all feel similar in hand but fly different.
i'm curious... have you thought about disc review or challenge with somebody who regularly bags the disc you are reviewing? i'm newer to your channel since the mvp bag change... you have mentioned your bias, and i would guess that it comes out in your throwing as well...
My beat up blue sunset ultra is one of my favorite discs all time and hope to never lose it’s so flat maybe a tick concave. I bought another only it’s not nearly as flat unfortunately can only get online. Brod knows 👌🤝
I have a few pretty beefy DD verdicts and one that’s pretty beat in. They’re great but the pyro kicked them out of the bag. Still, maybe something worth trying out for that slot.
