Great car. Mine is my 67 beetle bought new by my aunt in 67 and given to me in 2000.

Beautiful bug, amazing attention to detail, love it with the BRM wheels. I’d go for the air ride over static. Gotta love that green oval too! I grew up driving, loving and wrenching on the old bugs, I haven’t owned one for far too long, maybe it’s time?

I've been subbed up for ever I dig everything that Pete skiba touches. I am a total vw nut from bug's to notchbacks to buses to ghias I would say any vw from 57 thru 66
I gotta say the 59' I am Currently doing the same with. Let's just say I got my hands full being 23 and my first beetle! My dad got me into Dubs with his 64 rag which is in storage for 30+ yrs! Boy that thing is Cherry!!

Hello from the east coast. I currently own a 58 ragtop..I have to say its my favorite car out of all I have ever had before. It’s not on the level of the one in the video but I can dream. You guys do great work.

Sunroof or hardtop?
I have a hard top but I was thinking of getting a rag top kit.
Aftermarket kits are most of the time junk, find a ragtop clip from an original Beetle, way nicer
1964 Type 1 Beetle was my first car. Have had a slew of the later ones but never an oval or split, someday maybe !
As much as I love the early ones, mine is a 1971 Super Beetle. Great work and video Pete 👍

The uncle's 66 is the reason why I love Beetles. But the first car I ever bought and owned is my 70. It has sentimental value so my favorite is the 70 cause they seem to look fuller and have a certain stance about them. Maybe because of that 1600....
My year i like is my full start rebuild of my 67 bug, by next year 2023 I hope to be done..
My favorite is my 1957 Ragtop, which would look great with an Airkewld front beam!

@@AirkewldVWs Coral Red w/black ragtop & dark graphite Empi 5-spoke wheels. Looking to change the wheels sometime this year, once the COVID-19 issue subsides and we all get back to work.
Love me some Coral Red! It was the stock color for this car, it was my original choice. Decided to go the pearl white instead
Which wheels are you thinking about?
@@AirkewldVWs I haven't decided yet, although I'm sure to be upgrading to 17". Ideally, I'd like to get closer to the stock front wheel diameter, so the speedometer is accurate. For the rear wheels, I'll be looking for a larger sidewall (taller tire) to increase my top end, while lowering RPM.
My Favorite VW Beetle is any Split Window Model 1953 - 1957. I've owned a 1973 Super Beetle & a 1967.
64 ragtop is my favorite it has the best proportions (window size) currently have 69 with Airkewld adjusters,1776

@@AirkewldVWs ive got to find something that makes it.look like a hot wheels car alloy five spoke 15 inch or bigger you have one type that i like slg , paintwork will be two tone white with abalone metal flake its going to take a while but with effort and time shes a keeper2
My favourite is a 1967 vw beetle i know it was a one year build only. My gran had one till mid 1990s till it got stolen. My daily drives are a 69 and 74 vw beetle.

67’s didn’t cone factory with ragtops in Germany or the US so unless it is custom or grafted, I would be interested to find out where it was made.
