Jacob I’m sure you probably did by now, but if you search up Deno’s Wonder wheel Park, scrambler ride, you can see the ride with the same exact yellow wings. That car you have is definitely from that scrambler ride.
I looked up a video and you are right, it is 100% the exact same model with the same colors, can’t verify it’s the exact same one, but that definitely supports the story
Just guessing, the original manufacturer probably sold them with the choice in a handful of appearances packages, so you'd be able to find particular models decades later that are near identical in appearance, but usually with different art on them. It seems like many parks would have their own branding/theming on them but others would just want one of the budget "default art" they kept on hand sort of thing. Surely there’s some manufacturing info on the parts to research those kinds of things.
@@TheCarpetbagger Hi. Omg thank you for getting back to me, You made my Decade!!❤️😊 it would’ve been really cool if your car really was from that actual ride!! If you look there’s another video but it’s poorly made, but it’s says, On the scrambler at CI, it shows it when it was in Astroland, CI, before Astroland was demolished, the ride was blue before . Then they painted it different colors when it was moved around the block to Deno’s.
I rode that scrambler ride back in 78 when I was 6, when it was in Astroland, C.I. Astroland was demolished in 2009, then they moved the scrambler ride to Deno’s Wonder Wheel Park.
For the Scrambler, you can hang it as a swing chair on your porch, or from your ceiling if reinforced properly if what you are hanging it from is reinforced to handle it. To clean to metal, I think use steel wool. Restoring it a little would help make it look quite nice and welcoming to sit in. If you put it in your home, I would still hang it or put it up a little, then behind it have a mural of a photo you have taken with the ride background view would be cool to see. Enjoy.
I know some people really like the aging, but I think it would look really good with at least a partial restoration. Maybe have the wood replaced with something new and varnished. A riser to lift it up like you mentioned and replace the seat covering (or repaint?). Then, either a light cleanup of the outside or if you prefer, a total recreation of the decals with polished exterior. Any way you do it, it's about as cool as it gets! Love it and congrats on scoring a really cool piece!
Hey Jacob, a couple of tips on cleaning up The Scrambler car: To clean up the rust, get some Naval Jelly. Put it on the rusty parts you want to clean up, let it sit for a few hours, then wash it off. For the seat, use some Armor-All for the stains and junk. To refurbish that foam part of the seat which has deteriorated, get some red FLEX-SEAL spray to re-coat the exposed foam or some red latex spray paint. For the wood parts, get some Clear Coat spray paint to protect the wood from further deterioration. Good luck with your new fun seat, Jacob! By the way, new name for the home-museum? The Bagger Mansion!
The Scrambler was my dad's favorite ride; we rode it together a lot. I hope you find the other cars you want. I don't just want a car from a dark ride; I want an entire ride. I'd like to have a funhouse, too.
That's so cool! I wish you luck finding the rest of the amusement park vehicles. For that Scrambler car, if keeping indoors it might be well worth it to fully refurbish it, hopefully you can get replacment decals from Eli Bridge too. I myself have a gondola off the defunct Giant Wheel from Hersheypark. Too large for indoors, and it sat out in the elements for 18 years before I got it. Looked pretty rough, but at least no wood or upholstry on it unlike the Scrambler. I totally stripped the paint, and repainted it. Looks good now in the back yard. We just cover it over the winter.
I was very happy to see your scrambler car!! My first thought was "is it from Crystal Beach??" That would make it the best for me. Crystal Beach was the park I grew up going to in Canada (near Buffalo) and it was amazing. Sadly they closed in 1989 but your scrambler care brought back wonderful memories!! Thank you :)
I love this idea for you and Jens new home. 🎉 How cool would a living room of ride vehicles be?! Everyone be on the lookout for dark ride vehicles when thrifting!
Jacob, this has to be one of my favorite videos, sharing your collection, passion, and interests. I am so happy for you. This is so exciting for you, Jenn, and the kitties! All the best to you!
With the Scrambler car a simple bottle of wash'n'wax for the metalwork and an interior cleaner for the seat, if you must use a pressure washer turn it down so you don't risk lifting the paint. Mount wise I'd just have on a dolly so you can move it to clean etc without knackering yourself, other than that maybe put some cupholders in or a tray on the bar and youre onto a winner.
Omg!! I think that was from Astro land,Coney Island, Jacob. Then it was moved to Deno’s Wonder Wheel Park after Astroland was demolished in 2009. Congrats on ur new scrambler car. I’ve rode that scrambler back in 1978 when I was 6 years old., When it was in Astroland, Coney Island.
I know you must be so tired in this video, but you look so happy. That makes me happy. I’m so glad you and Jenn are home sweet home together. Regarding the scrambler car, wouldn’t it be cool if it appeared to be suspended in mid air, slightly off the ground , with some very small, inconspicuous base?!? I have no idea how to do that, but it sounds cool.
Seabreeze Park in Rochester used to have a scrambler. It was inside a dome. As you rode, the song Fire On High by ELO would play very loudly. Images were projected onto the inside of the dome. It was called the Gyrosphere.
I have memories of scrambles too. Lots of bangs from it. 😂 this is awesome. Congrats. I loved riding a scrambler inside a building. Chipper's magical mystery tour. ❤❤❤❤
Just wanted to slide in here....from Ottawa Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 and wanted to wish you and Jenn all the best on your new chapter in life. Congratulations to you both and looking forward to your future videos Jacob FYI I love your idea for the themed home. Your ideas aren't far different than most of ours out here. Congratulations you two on the move Wishing you and your families continued success and growth 🙏 Much love ❤️
Congratulations 🎉 for the ownership of your very own Scrambler car !!!!!!!! Not sure what your neighbors are thinking 🤔 as they look out the window & see you sitting in the "car" in your driveway 😅😅😂. ENJOY it Jacob.✌️❤️🙂
Love your channel. ❤. You have kindly taken me all over America. Thank you for that. Love you and Jen you are so matched. Watching from Cefn in North Wales GB xxx
No worries Jacob m, moving is such a stressful, stressful situation and getting settled in a new place is another situation so take your time don’t stress out everything eventually is going to fall into place 😊, appreciate each and everyone of your videos you take care yourself and be safe. please give Jen a hug and tell her we all say 👋 in video land ❤💕❤️🤠
Congrats on your acquisition Jacob! That Scrambler ride vehicle belongs in your living room for sure. I would definitely leave the exterior as is but make / replace the red seat part so that it’s furniture quality (and comfortable).
HEY,.. JACOB WOW,. man I've Been watching Your channel now For almost 3 years Now and I'm So Glad for you And Everything Else That's going On In Your life Right now. And That will be so Awesome To see How you will Fix The house up In That old carpetbagger Style And please Don't Take this The wrong way But just dont put yourself out There To much but I cant wait till you get back on the road again
Looks very fun to have one of those. I started to create my “nerd room”, very much based on the bunker. If you ever have a roadside attraction of your own, I’d certainly come all the way from Idaho to see it. Regarding cleaning, It’s a good idea to have a new seat because of mold. For the rest, soapy water is usually good to start with.
I agree with the idea, get it cleaned, maybe upholstered, painted with Rustoleum, buy a new decal and clear coat it. Buy a gazebo structure that can support the weight and hang it like a swing. Or, wash it, spray paint, throw some pillows on it and let it age naturally. If you build a man shed with a big screen, it will outlast you. Thats my two cents. I did this with and old metal patio couch and that was 25 years ago. It still on the porch looking good in the neighborhood.
I think you are on the right track when you wanted to decorate a bathroom with the fiji mermaids. Look at your collection and come up with some themes. A Halloween -themed room? A taxidermy -themed room? An Elvis-themed room? A carnival/fair-themed room? The furniture in the room could still be traditional furniture, but all the accessories, wall art, displays, etc. had stays with the theme.
Great video Jacob love your collections and the scrambler car would make an awesome swing in the backyard. Just a thought take care of my friend and as always safe travels.
Weld Aluminum legs on the car and box it in so that you can also use the functional Step. Then box 📦 it on the bottom with Thin aluminum sheet metal To make it look like it is floating. Then paint it up, and in your own color scheme And I think it would come out pretty cool. Happy holidays to you and your family and I hope you enjoy the idea. And thank you for all the wonderful entertainment ideas of the years

Love the scrambler ….. Jacob you said you don’t collect anything …. Excuse me … you collect everything …. You could set a theme and narrow your search … future videos could be you going a search for your next pieces … things you like and items Jenn likes
Totally worth cleaning and restoring it, might want to add some extra add on padding on the outside corners since it's metal, as that can become a hazard.
Justin is legit an A+ guy, one of the kindest dudes I've been lucky enough to meet. Congratulations, Jacob! What a fantastic addition to the Eclectic Chateau!
As for the Scrambler car - if it's feasible, might be cool to put cupholders and a small platform in the bar that drops down to hold your drinks and popcorn for a movie. :)

@@warmlantern0000 My pleasure! Good luck with your restoration! Take pictures!
Very cool Jacob. Just as a health concern you might want to re apulster the seat that may be moldy from being outside so long.
Good idea

I said that as soon as I saw the seat

An entire wall of shelving would be a neat way to display the mold-a-rama figurines. All the different colors.
If you reupholstered and resprayed it, add caster wheels to the base. Bolt a tray to the safety bar. That would be cool in a living room.

The scrambler, beautiful. That doesn't too safe but it looks fun. It is fun, I rode several times. Everything is too safe in these times.
I love your scrambler car find!! Man, I would love to see what else you can get. I love your collection.

Can't wait to see Scrambler car when it is refurbished,!!
Thank you Jacob for sharing your personal collection.
Great video Jacob love your collections and the scrambler car would make an awesome swing in the backyard. Just a thought take care of my friend and as always safe travels.
I really like it. Guys have their Harley in the living room. One good outside wash with Formula 409. Then bring in for the details.
Awesome Scrambler car bro carpetbagger you're a legend bro
A tilt-a-whirl would be a terrific living room chair

Your very own Scrambler car. Congratulations!
I can't wait to see your house once it's fully decorated. 😊 I'm really excited and happy for you! I remember when you got Joe Dirt and people were so excited to see him when you stopped at the gas station. Lol
Please do make it into a museum!!! I will drive out there just to visit!!! Love all your things!!
Love the direction your taking the place in...now you just need your own Zoltar to put the retired pin hat on.....and your own claw machine so you can always play without wasting $ - Jenn could display some of her stuffies in it 🤣
This is such a good idea! Playable and a practical display case! 😊
Between Jens stuff and yours I was already thinking you will have your own roadside attraction and call it: THE FUNK-O BUNK-O! You could charge admission and ger a dark ride train for people to ride through 😂😂😂
I would use Rust-Oleum Rust Dissolver Jelly on it. It will remove active rust stopping it from spreading but will leave the pitting from the rust.
The mold-a-rama's collection is pretty cool and i like your idea for your house. I know y'all would do it tastefully 😊
I have loved so much of this video!!!! I love you Jacob and Jen!!!! I love your videos!!! I watch your old videos when I need a pick me up!!!
Love the scrambler ….. Jacob you said you don’t collect anything …. Excuse me … you collect everything …. You could set a theme and narrow your search … future videos could be you going a search for your next pieces … things you like and items Jenn likes
Build a small wood platform and paint it red like the upholstery so it matches. Build it just big enough to make it sit correctly
Use the spray dawn dish detergent, it's a miracle worker, congratulations!
Your collection of antique Mold A Matics are excellent!!! ,
Totally worth cleaning and restoring it, might want to add some extra add on padding on the outside corners since it's metal, as that can become a hazard.
I LOVE the Scrambler. I even have a Lego version of one.
Congratulations Jacob! I hope you find your dark ride vehicle now. What a fun house to live in! 😁
Hey Jacob love the scrambler car like all your videos really like your life videos you are definitely my favorite RUclips channel 👍

I was watching this video with my husband. I told him you should make it a porch swing! Use Scotch Brite to clean it up.
That hat alone is worth a fortune! 😊
Jacob next year has to be the year of the Scrambler
I am happy to see you still have your old pork pie hat, that is my favorite. Thank you for showing us your cherished collections Great video Jacob Hello Jenn!

For sure would want a Tilt-A-Whirl car that would be awesome
I love love everything in your collection so awesome
