My Grandma had this album, which I now have. Fantastic to hear what I call "the other side of Hank Jr." I wish Hank would embrace his pre-outlaw era and incorporate some of these forgotten gems into his repertoire.
Great to hear Jr when stayed with real country. 1st time I heard these cuts. All top shelf. How I wish we could find these genuine country songs on today's radio. THX for keeping it available. CFC
Additional after hearing the entire album. How sad Jr was not given more air time in his earlier days. His cover of I cannot be myself is fantastic. It also speaks about the original thru mid 70 country. Artists could not be themselves & carry tradition & succeedCFC
