- This wasn't the toughest challenge, but I enjoyed this survival session in particular as with proper use of the Partizan I was able to keep 3 players at bay, who were constantly trying to circle me and sneak hits in. All the players were good sports too!

A few people were bringing up that these guys weren't particularly "good" or "glitching" so it was not represented of a 3v1 at pontiff, even tho experienced and/or glitching players don't nearly represent the majority of PC pontiff players. The reason I liked this session in particular was I liked my camera control and use of the weapon art in particular, it made for some very interesting crowd control in my opinion. And like in my win streak video, I explained how that even though it's not the most top tier weapon it is stronger than all other spears against a lot of the most meta weapons, suck as quickstep and fast weapons.
Wow, It's rare to see a keyboard and mouse player, but this got to be the weirdest keyboard binding I have ever seen. I can't imagine not using left-click for attacking but using T for jumping, etc.

everyone has their opinion on what is the most useful skill to master when it comes to ds3 pvp. whether it be spacing, swapping, crits etc - there is usually plenty of discourse around each one. but not enough love is given to camera control imo, and it really makes the difference between a good player and a great one.
oh and point is, Amir has great camera control
It’s def extremely useful in non duel battles, but of course with free-aiming or unlocking in duels it also can play a huge role.
Yeah good camera control is definitely underrated. I remember when I first cranked my sensitivity up to 10 - it was difficult to use at first, but once I grew accustomed to it, it was a game-changer
simply equip the stupid sickle or dagger and turn off your brain, then there is no need to learn anything

I really like how you used the beginning of the Weapon Art for controlling the space around you, so even if the invader gets too close the attack will be interrumpted.
And since the first part of the Spin Slash WA barely consumes stamina you can use it more often for spacing compared to other weapons.

The partizan is one of my favourite weapons in DS3. You can't just spam and pray, you've actually got to think when you use it. While it's damage isn't spectacular, it's combo potential and having a move for every situation makes it one of the most dangerously capable weapons to have in your arsenal.
I liked the part when you riposted a guy and the other invader immediately did the Joy gesture at 5:07
Spin slash is such a nice weapon art, a sweeping attack with hyperarmor on demand.

Yes, def is. But just like fighting gangs always is, environment and luck is a huge factor on top of your own skill and resources.
@@Amir0 Well, I tried it, but I couldn't do it. I think fist weapons are underrated in duels, but I can't play with them properly in team fights.
@@artey6671 i have had great luck with fist weapons as an ace in the hole but using only fists against a gank is tough

Any chance you could try something similar (doesn't have to be Pontiff Survival) with Darkdrift and its R1 -> L1 pseudo combo/rollcatch?

To be fair, those invaders didnt seem to be good, two of them have no clue at all, BUT good spear work anyway, the best thing I can see is your camera work, almost always on point. I think using rope firebombs would compliment that playstyle combined with l2s very well.
He did use rope firebombs for the first 10 minutes but unfortunately you can't restock them midfight lol
Yeah and I’m not exactly the most effiecent on using em still lol, I use them even when I have enough stam to just roll cuz it feels good. And yeah it wasn’t that they were good but that despite being ganged up on, I was happy with my camera work and such with the partizan.

@ZatonZopilote Well, you shouldn't ever win a fight agains 2v1 (or more) when you fight people with same skill as you have in the first place
@ZatonZopilote might be a good point, I’m gonna try and actually get a 3v1 with glitchers and win that too. Altho for most players winning a 3v1 like this with a spear is also unrealistic, unless you added something stupid like a 1 shot parry swap.
Elden Ring
Is keyboard and mouse the secret to getting good at ringswapping?
Idk. Swapping is suprisingly easy with keyboard than controller for me
The real key to ringswapping with a controller is to have your inventory organized and consistent so that your rings are in the easiest position to swap from and you'll have the muscle memory to swap them swiftly. When you change you inventory setup, practice your swaps over again outside of stress.

@Amir. Can you tell me what happened at around 9:47? The Aldrich gets hit by your WA-R1 but somehow it looks like your R1 hit twice? Not the double hit glitch, but two actual hitconfirms. I thought it was an arrow from the red but the arrow hit you, not the Aldrich. And it did more damage than the arrow. So I have no idea what happened there
Also goes unsaid but damn this is good gameplay. You really make the Partizan shine, it really is the best spear. One of the best weapons in general imo
they really should of known to jump off the cliff when the first invader died

@@krowpan799 nah I play one keyboard and it isn't hard at all. I never estus canceled in my life but bow glitch and Estus refill are fairly easy

honestly the thing that stands out the most is that camera movement and the mouse menuing, I've never liked mouse/keyboard in this game but definitely going to try higher camera sensitivity at least

Good to see that some players are still only capable of mashing r1.
It’s almost like Straight Sword, Curved Sword, and Katana R1 is too effective for how braindead it is and costs next to no stamina when compared to previous games.
Wtf was that bow phantom doing the whole time? I don't get how you can miss than many arrows against a cornered target while they're distracted with 2 other invaders

How much poise does the partizan need to be good?
Just enough to tank through a two handed straight sword running and standing attack really, it’s not a good idea actually to try and tank big weapon attacks with it most of the time, its best used against non hyperarmor weapons. So 20 poise is probably way more than enough.

This is impressive, but look at how outclassed these other players accounts are compared to Amir. It's not even close. Even if they had the skill, they auto lose to that health bar.
Yes host health + heals advantage and my optimal build def helps a lot.

What's the benefit to spinning with estus?
Primarily to prevent backstabs.
@@Amir0 backstabs are starting to get wacky, saw a dude doing some really strange PvP tech where he would Parry with a caestus and backstab at the same time pretty much, but he grabbed you when you when running by or even facing him for two to three seconds, the overall connection was really decent too, so really not sure what is was.
@@aspiringadonis1253 Parry cancel bs. Instead of blocking and pivoting for a bs you can throw a parry instead then r1.
Sadly I think some of them weren't trying because you were a solo host, also the video quality is a little rough. Not the pixels, but the video itself seems a little choppy just as an fyi. Still a really good 3v1, especially when you were stacking disadvantages

I mean this was just you surviving against 1 good player and 2 not so good players, up until you decided to use anything other than the partizan when your estus was was low lol. And the best player died to gravity. Lucky you.
Nah, that guy just used meta things but could barely catch me with harpe on low lat. Best player was prob the untrue white despite their super squishy build, but yeah as a whole they weren’t amazing players, but this session was interesting to me because it showed places where the partizan’s weapon art when used properly can keep multiple players even circling u. Also I only swapped due to the glitch making me fight 3 aldriches that are basically like a 3 man gank + a red, then after that it was just to give a bit more fun. Partizan still had the majority of the runtime.
First guy was wearing meta armor and used meta weapons, so he gives off the illusion of being a sweat. Tbh, he really wasn't that good. He almost got KO'd right off the bat before the untrue white jumped in.
