I’m converting an old raspberry patch into a garden. It’s been tough, maybe not so tough if I were ten years younger, it’s coming along but it still has a long way to go. You inspire me to get out there and get it done. I’m missing the perfect opportunity to be out there, getting over Covid and some other health issues but as I said previously I think todays the day! 🍁🍂🍁💚🙃 it seems that when the weather cools down and it’s nice to work outside I get laid up. Spring is my favorite because it’s cool and I can get much more done without over heating and getting sick. Take care of yourself young lady because when old age hits it can get a little tough. 🍁🍂🍁💚🙃

Honestly, the biggest reason I subscribed was your respect for our American flag. I'm so scared for my grandchildren and their future lives that subtle little displays of being a Christian or a love for our country brings tears to my eyes and gives me hope.
Thank you for NOT being a screaming in your face individual.
    I love it! 😊❤️

My mother-in-law grew them and I feel I love with the blue color. I have her delphinium in my garden. I also started some from seed this past spring, I planted them out in my garden and they bloomed! I’m in zone 4b so we have a short growing season, but I can get two blooms from my older delphinium!

Jes, when I planted my first hosta plants (patriot) nearly 45 years ago, I was so careful trying not to damage any roots or leaves in the process. Now, I divide them exactly like you do, by splitting the clump with a knife or my small shovel. I absolutely love your idea of a dump bed, so I'm going to implement that this fall because I have a bunch of plants that I need to get into the ground before the snow flies. Have a wonderful weekend! ~Margie🤗🐿💐🦋

I'm also a Hosta fan, and have many, but constantly battling the deer...anything you can recommend? Have you tried Snake Eye Hosta? Has at least 4 color variations. Whirligig has great dark color with creamy varigation, solid purple blooms with short thick stems that don't flop and bloom for several weeks.

People ask me this question all the time, and I feel really bad because the deer do not eat my hosta on the wood line. And I really do not know why. So it’s hard to say, I live in a development so I feel like the summertime there’s a lot more activity going on and the deer go elsewhere for food. The winter is a different story they come in and try to eat anything they can in the winter. But if I do see them in the summertime I use liquid fence
