  • What are wool batts, tops, rovings and even slivers? Ever wondered how to tell them apart, what is the difference and most importantly when to use which to make needle felting a success. Steffi explains how to identify them use them and what works best for you. The example her in this short product tutorial is the Eagle Owl project which is The Makerss January 2024 subscription box project. This tutorial however can be used for other examples when working with tops and batts.

    Thank you so much Steffi, wish I had known all of this before I started felting. I have so many tops needing to be used! Thank you also for your kits, the number of other kits sold using tops are awful, no wonder folk give up before they even start 😊 xx
