      Everytime when i made a silicon-mold.... And i put resin in it...always apeares bubbles on the surface on the mold...CAN U HELP ME ??!!

    I loved how smooth the cut was from before and after pouring the silicone that it looked like it cured instantly! that was cool!

    Wonderful nostalgic creation reminds me of Jurassic Park the first movie version brings back the fun movie vibe when it was first released in theaters everyone wants piece memorabilia from the movie . It's awesome you created the exact thing from the movie. Lots of love and blessings.

    That looks to be a crane fly. They look exactly like mosquitoes, except that they're very large. Eggcellent video!

    So that's the way that the scientists can get the DNAs from the mosquito in amber to bring back the extinct species like dinosaurs and mammoths and dodos and thylacines and trilobites and other species

    In germany called this mosquito: Schneider (tailor) or Schnacken. This looks so pretty cool .. I loved the movies when i was a child 🤩. Thanks for your work ❤

    Only thing I would maybe add would be a small (warm-white/yellow) LED in the base so it has a nice soft glow at night.

    How do you decide whether to polish resin to make it shiny, or to pour an extra layer of resin to make it shiny? Is there a difference?

    This is so cool! I love amber, and someday hope to own a piece with an insect/tiny critter fossilized in it. This looks like a fossilized insect in amber!

    Fantastic! Would be cool to use UV resin and cure it as it was drippin down the side like at 7:03 to make it look like amber that dried up. I have no idea if UV resin works like that tho :D

    That large "mosquito" is a "tipulidae" gender, not exactly a mosquito. Harmless indeed.

    I was thinking about your round mold from last week and what to do with it. What if you use it to make a 4 season snow globe series? As in, the same scene, but in winter, spring, summer, autumn with different colored glitter inside. I think it would be cool. Plus, one mold for 4 weeks of videos.

    Was the egg still edible after the casting? Lol
    Over here we call that a crane fly. Totally harmless, fly really clumsily, but still unnerving when one flies directly into your face. My cat loved hunting them when they got into the house.

    I think the actual name of that is a Crane Fly (?) but I grew up calling it a Mosquito Hawk. I grew up thinking they ate mosquitoes, at least that's what I was taught, but I don't think they do.

    Question...why didn't you just put a hole in each end, blow the egg contents out, wash it the same way, seal the top with uv resin, fill it half way, put the mosquito in then fill the rest of the way?

    Tipula rufina or crane fly belongs to the same family as the mosquitoes. The crane fly is completely harmless.

    Experience is knowing you need two wooden sticks on the egg. :-) I missed the link to the store on Etsy that sells large harmless preserved mosquitos.
