    You only need to know one thing…don’t. By the time you check your bags and pay all their other add ons, you probably could have flown on Southwest for close to the same price.

      Yeah if you need to check bags and need other services, it’s usually not worth it. However, if you just travel with a small backpack and don’t need extra services, you can certainly save money by flying with a low cost carrier. They are sneaky about the fees though. So you always need to be careful.

    my daught flew with them from denver to sioux falls. Well was supposed too. She got her ticket through expedia, went to airport and checked in. Got to boarding area. When asked for boarding pass, she told attendent she never was given one. Attendent checked the info my daughter was given and told her to board. She found her seat ,releaved she had got on the plane with no problems. This was only her second time flying. Plane started taxiing to runway when flight attendent came back to her and asked for her boarding pass. My daughter said she never recieved one. showed her what was given to her. Flight attendent told her she needed a boarding pass to continue her flight. Plane turned around went back to gate. they escorted her off plane told her to get her boarding pass somehow and that she was holding up the flight so please hurry. Long story short she was charged twice by frontier and once by expedia for a flight she never got to take. So at this point can not get ahold of them to see what can be done. NOT IMPRESSED WITH FRONTIER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      Wow that’s crazy. I’ve never heard of anything like that happen before. I’m sorry your daughter had to go through this. That’s definitely frustrating. I hope you can resolve it with them. If you can’t get a hold of them via phone or chat, I would also try contacting via social media and also commenting on their posts to make it more public. Often times companies then try their best to resolve issues. Crossing my fingers for you!

      How did she get through tsa then without a ticket and shouldn’t she have checked in with the frontier app to get her ticket in the first place?if there was a problem, she should of talked to a agent at the airport so I’m confused.

    Thanks for the vid. Flying tomorrow with them for the first time.
    Your first priority with the money you make from the affiliates is to get a good bluetooth mic. You sound like your in an echo chamber. Not trying to be critical. I do appreciate the vid.

      Thank you! Glad the video was helpful!
      Thanks for the feedback on the sound! I will invest in a better microphone soon.

    I'm flying with Frontier next Friday to Minneapolis. The biggest thing I'm concerned with is if my flight will get delayed/canceled. My trip is sort of on a tight schedule so a delay/cancelation is not going to be good for me.

      @triptipswithchris  2 месяца назад

      Yeah, that’s always my biggest concern with these low cost carriers. If it’s early in the day it’s usually fine but later in the day delays happen more frequently. For me it all worked out. Hope it goes well for you too. Safe travels!

    I was thinking about flying to Puerto Rico but I’m concerned about delays and baggage for 3 people. I may consider Frontier for a future local flight.

      @triptipswithchris  3 месяца назад

      Yeah, I think that’s a wise decision. If you have a lot of baggage it’s usually better flying with the major airlines. And yes, the likelihood of a delay is typically higher with the low cost airlines.
      Enjoy your trip to Puerto Rico!!

    So do I have to have a printed boarding pass or can I just use my phone?

    • @triptipswithchris
      @triptipswithchris  Месяц назад

      Yeah just use the Frontier app for check in and then you'll have the boarding pass on your phone. That way it's free. Don't check in on their website since they charge a fee for that. Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks for the advice , But I will never fly thru frontier e I don’t have respect for them , I heard e I went thru lots a issues my self.I rather pay more e respect my self e stay away from from this trash airline . Delays, fees , disrespect = Frontier my life is valuable e peace of mind too!

    • @triptipswithchris
      @triptipswithchris  Месяц назад

      I understand your viewpoint. Delays certainly happen more frequently with low cost carriers and you always have to pay attention what fees they charge for different services. That’s why I put this video together. To make sure people are aware of the fees and usually it’s only worth it if you’re traveling with a small backpack and don’t need anything else. So for certain trips I think it makes sense to book with a low cost carrier but definitely not for all trips. Thanks for checking out the video!

    sounds like an absolutely no frills airline. any imaginable extra is their pound of flesh perk. if everybody who booked frontier never incurred any extras frontier will join braniff and pan am

    • @triptipswithchris
      @triptipswithchris  Месяц назад

      Yeah exactly, that pretty much sums it up. This is their business model. I only fly with low cost carriers like Frontier for short trips where I know I'll only need a small backpack and no other extras. Otherwise you pay just as much (or even more) like with a major airline.

    You first have to take off your clothing, yes it is a no clothing flight ✈️, second you must bring your own peanuts 🥜, no stinky shoes 👞, you pay for your own poop 💩 and bathroom urination, their is no lunch 🥪, you must serve the stewardess coffee and donuts 🍩, smoking a cigar is permitted only if you share. Pets are not permitted for any reason, if I think of anything else please let me know. 🧌
