Looking back we made quite a few videos that recapped our journey every few days, and that's a lot to digest. So, we've created a video that's just shy of an hour which provides the full overview of our journey. It's almost like your watching for favorite show! In any case, we'd love it if you watched, commented below, and share this with your friends and family who may also know people affected with Parkinson's Disease. The more we can share our journey the closer we'll be to helping find a cure!
Follow along with us as we southbound thru-hike all 2,194 miles of the Appalachian Trail from Maine to Georgia to raise money for Parkinson's Disease Research!!
I loved watching this recap! You all did great! What memories! And your accomplishment of $$$$$ for Parkinson’s research is amazing!
❤🎉❤🎉❤
What an amazing journey!! I have thoroughly enjoyed following you both. You are both such an inspiration!! I wish you both the very best in life.
When I started following you two I was awed at how you pushed through EVERY challenge. Then I met you in Damascus and I actually felt your energy and positivity. It was amazing and inspiring. Blessings to you and your family. 🙏 Happy Trails Always! 🌈🏕🌞🐻 ❤ ~ BirdNerd
Awwww, Woodrush THANK YOU! Th e Trail is as much mental as physical, maybe even more so!
God bless you both!!!
You two truly are Angel's who flew nearly 2200 miles for a wonderful cause.
I lol, I worried, I cheered and I cried with you at the southern terminus.
My late aunt who was a lovely soul of a woman passed from Parkinson many years ago and this hit home for me.
You both are a true inspiration😇 ❤️❤️😇
This was so fun to watch! Really loved following your journey, miss seeing new videos from the trail
We still have more videos we want to do, but hard with jobs, house, “normal” life taking up time. Another of the many reasons why I miss the trail!
Phenomenally done! I look forward to seeing more videos from you. Very interested in your lives after the Trail. I can't say it enough: you ladies accomplished a very hard feat and captured it beautifully. I shared the recap video and your information with my niece-in-law, who was visiting from Oklahoma this week. Bravo to you, Lilo and Stitch!!
Congratulations on your thru hike. I have enjoyed all your videos from the beginning. Hugs
Thank you, it was a labor of love. Gretja has such great camera and art direction skills!
hope your both doing well, i really miss not seeing you on the trail
I smiled when I logged in and saw this video and had to watch it all right away, I laughed, smiled and cried with you throughout the video. The memories are with you forever. I could sense the emotions at the end, good it was finished, sad it was finished, looking forward to going home but missing the adventure every day. I loved reliving it all with you again here. Congratulations on the funds raised for PD, I too hope they can find a cure.
Do you guys think you will do another hike together, even weekend ones? Or maybe do a video on life after the trail and how you are all going there?
Thanks for putting this video up and sharing some highlights with us again. Stay safe ladies :) xxx
Yes! And YES!! We are planning a summer hike here in MN with the dogs and have more videos planned, including “life after the Trail.” We too don’t want to see it end, more to say, more to do! Really want to get to $100k for PD, that will take some more effort!
Truly miss watching you too. It was the Best filming that I saw out there.
Thank you! Gretja’s skills are amazing and our pro bono editors did such a great job making us look good!
This sure is better than anything on TV. Congrats again. I followed all your videos .
Awww, that’s saying a lot, thank you! It was our honor!
What a incredible journey with a wonderful mother and daughter team!! I watched all 154 days with you and enjoyed this video tonight! Thanks for sharing. 😊. I hope you both are doing well and also Ron and I bet you are snowed in! ❄️❄️❄️❄️ We in South Jersey haven’t even had a trace of snow yet! Hard to believe. Take care and God Bless. 🌸🌺💐🌻💕
We’re doing good, tho still transitioning and healing. Ron’s birthday was the 9th, so we had some extra family fun with high school hockey and pizza!
Happy Birthday Ron! I miss your jokes!
Joke of the day for Ron. Why did the pickle have so much fun at the birthday party?? It relished every minute of it!! Happy Birthdsy Ron. Glad to hear you and Greta are doing ok! ☘️
Ahhhh so great to see your smiles again. I missed you gals
We'll just have to stay in touch! We really miss so much all our trail friends... think we need a reunion!
Incredible! Congrats on an amazing journey and supporting a fantastic cause!
Thank you! It was the mission of a lifetime! Help us get to $100k?
You ladies had me boohooing again! Such a great video! Congratulations on such an incredible hike and raising over 80,000 for Parkinson's Disease!
Thank you, you’re so sweet! Still hoping to make $100k before we go to the MVP Gala in NYC on 4/1. Can we do it?!
Great video! I can't wait until your post hike gear video!
Right, we need to get that done! Life is just so nuts after getting back! I’ll ask Gretja about when she’ll have a break from work, so we can plan a shoot day.
Enjoyed the recap.
Thanks so much Ronda, all the credit goes to Gretja, our videographer/art director and to Jon Wolf and The Rally Co. for their amazing pro bono editing/publishing work. Could NOT have done these 95 videos without their support!
This was great! You two are simply awesome! I hope to meet you both someday, somewhere on a trail! Hikers are the BEST!
That would be so cool! Come hike in Minnesota (when the snow melts)!
Just outstanding. You both should be very proud! You both definitely had the want to do this. I am in awe.
Do it!! Your feet will go where your heart is! It was certainly a journey of love for us.
Love this soooo much!! You made me cry again lol
Awww, sorry to make you cry, I’m just such a mush!! Hopefully you enjoyed it, too!
@@susanotten2705 oh they were happy tears!! I very much enjoyed this video 😊
I love the recap. How is your knee doing Sue. I have had IT band problems myself. It's no fun. And Greta, did you ever end up with a favorite pop tart flavor. 😁
Knees are still healing, trying to let them rest & am only swimming laps 3x a week for cardio. Thank you for asking. I’ll have to ask Gretja about the pop tarts and report back. I know she hasn’t eaten a single one since we got back. I however continue to love my morning oatmeal!
Loved following along as you did the hike, but this was SO FUN!! You ladies are amazing. I was so worried toward the end that you were not going to make it, but of course you did. Loved seeing the crazy weather toward the end, freezing, hot, up and down. I got a bit teary when you all finished and also this time. OK, so the dad jokes made the day every time.
You brought joy to my holidays, also. Congratulations Lilo & Stitch I hit the trail in 10 days, I'll be bringing some of that love to share. Love Wallace
Wow... 10 days! Would love to stay in touch and pray for you! SOoooo many blessings you will experience on the AT!
I'll try and post on youtube like Lilo & Stitch. That would be very kind and most appreciated. Adventure Unexpected is my RUclips channel. I'll never forget you! Thank you
Stitch, I didn't have my glasses on...wow! It would be awesome to know you were rooting for me
I just hit subscribe on your channel.
@@smidgen65 thank you, so much. I think it's going to beamazing. Happy to have you rooting for me, too!
You two were so positive the entire way! It was pure joy to watch this recap. I can't believe you didn't each get a blackberry milkshake in Shenandoah!
Oh, we had plenty to eat that day and the milkshake was a special treat!
Good MORNING! We made it! Woo-hoo! Just a few of the phrases I love hearing from you two! I've missed your videos and following your journey, so I was ecstatic to see your journey highlights posted. The week of your summit, I went back and forth on whether or not to go greet y'all in Amicalola Falls (it's such a personal experience for you, I thought maybe better to leave that for people you know). I'm SO glad my dog Maisie and I went! Every time I watch your videos I take notes of places I want to go see along the trail if I'm ever in those areas. You are two amazing women, and I can't wait to see more from you! Especially excited to hear how the MVP Gala goes this weekend! Such a special honor for you two to be there! Keep up the fight, and continue to be the wonderful, inspirational women that you are!
Mel and Maisie
You are so sweet!!! And we STILL talk about how amazing it was to see Maisie all done up. So stinkin cute! It was OUR honor to have y’all there💜💜💜
I cried all over again with you at the end...that was beautiful! You are beautiful! I loved following you and wish you and your family so well!!! Thank you for sharing the highlights!!!❤ Suzi
It was fun for me to watch, as we didn’t have time along the Trail to watch any of our videos. It will be a good pastime in my old age to relive our journey!
What an incredible hike you ladies had! Love all the smiles! You two have accomplished more than most of us dream of! Hats off to you for all the money you raised for PD! I know your husband/father is so proud of both of you! Tell Ron we miss his jokes & we missing seeing sweet Eve! Thanks for taking us along on your amazing journey! Love this recap video! You ladies rock! ❤
Thank you so much! And it’s so great to be home with Ron, Garrit, Kenzie and the puppies!
Congratulations! So proud of you. What an incredible adventure to share with each other.
We learned so much, about each other, ourselves, our mission, our family, our faith... the adventure of a lifetime!
Your mom is AMAZING!! Good for her!!
So wonderful to see it all again. I still miss your videos and am waiting for your final gear list video, if you’re doing one. Happy trails.🤘🏻🥾⛰️
I’ll have to ask Gretja about that one. I’d say we learned to travel really light toward the end, got rid of everything we didn’t use everyday and lightened up on food!
@@susanotten2705 well you gals rocked your thru hike so your gear obviously worked for you but also know how busy you are. Future thru hiker hiker here. Happy trails.🤘🏻🥾⛰️
Lovely recap of your journey. I didn't realize how far south you were before Stitch got her helmet. It was a great overview. Followed you from the beginning last July, but this was very sweet to do the trail again in just under an hour. Gee. Where is my ice cream?! So much trail magic, so many angels and two tough gals who walked the whole darn trail. Whohoo!!!! Pets to Evie.
Toni, glad you liked it - would have been an amazing if the actual hike would have taken just under an hour, but then where would the fun have been in that!? The trail magic/angels is what kept us going, AND the goal to help find a cure. Almost $84k raised from over 800 donations!!
Oh gosh….y’all still gave me goosebumps, tears and belly laughs. Thanks for being the best! Amazing accomplishment dear ladies! ❤❤❤
So glad you liked it, sweet friend! Sorry to make you cry (again) but it's for a great cause... almost $84,000 for Parkinson's Disease research!!
@@susanotten2705 You’ve inspired me so much. No thru hike for my husband and me, but we’re 30 miles from marking off the first 500 miles. This summer we’re skipping ahead to do the Presidentials SOBO. My mantra will be: Stitch did it, I can too! (I turn 65 next month…gasp!) 😘😘😘
We need a video of Ron's best jokes...maybe not all of them, 😂 ha ha
We’ve talked about a joke video, it would go viral, right?!! Jus soooo much work- Ron did a LOT of jokes!!
The best was when he could make himself chuckle, even while fretting over his girls.
I agree 100%!
Good morning, good morning! I loved hearing that! It was wonderful to be able to follow your adventures and your struggles. You both persevered through all your trials and your tribulations with much grace. Congratulations on your good work for Parkinsons. We wish you both all the very best. We will miss your updates!🎉
Good morning! We never would have guessed that sweet phrase has become our signature greeting! And stay tuned... might have a few videos still up our (base layer) sleeves!
I just watched this for the first time what a great adventure for you two I cried along with you at the end, what an inspiration you two are for others, and the Donation for a great Cause. Thanks for the Journey, I enjoyed it :)
❤❤
Thank you!
So inspiring!!!
Enjoy the recap of your journey did you see any bears and Moose
Thank you! And yea to bears (5) but sadly no to moose. We were sooo sad. Called to them every day in Maine. But saw TONS of moose poop!
Followed you guys the whole way during your hike, from start till end. It was a great adventure, this year I hope to follow in your footsteps and hike the AT sobo. Can't help wondering how you are doing now, how you look back on it, a little more than one year after completing your journey on the AT. Hope you are doing well and life is good ❤🍀
Loved watching you guys How! What an inspiration ❤ How about a post hike video on what you used, didn't use on trail. Favorite and dislikes of trail. What you would do the same and different......
Etc
What a great video! I am planning a 2024 SOBO and I would also like to raise money for a charity. I would really like to ask you how to go about this. Is there some way to contact you for advice?
Is it possible you might remember the dates when you started and finished?
