this has cheered me up alot i am doing chemo. buzzed my hair yesterday short. i dont want a wig its to much fuss and i want to protect my head from the sun and cold and look cute and sassy. ill be making bennies also but i have a few scarfs heading my way. might as well learn a cute way to wear them :). to help me endure chemo and feel beautiful thank you.
These are fantastic! I'm Muslim and cover my hair with hijab, but at certain family outings I'm forced to abandon it for fear of harassment. These are a perfect alternative for me to cover without being glaringly Muslim lol. I can't wait to try them, especially the faux sleek bun. Thank you so much!
Spooky Sufi, I'm sorry you have to deal with having to alter your way of being a hijabi. It is such a beautiful expression of faith. Sadly people are ignorant and Isalamaphobic. I assume you live in the U.S. or U.K.. Both have really nasty hateful people. So, stay strong my beautiful sister. ❤
@@bbrown3867 , do I have to say..? lol. Canada? No, I'm from the U.S.. Sadly I fear for my Muslim friends here. I fear a lot these days with the Orange One in the White House.
I've been wanting to do styles like this for the longest, but as a Hispanic, I've been worried about getting scrutinized for cultural appropriation or something like that. I love African and African American culture and I just have to say, after HOURS of watching these tutorial videos, it really warms my heart to be seeing the support and welcoming attitudes in the comments of not only this video, but many others. I'm about to start college, so y'all best believe I'm gonna be tying my hair up!!!
Sarah Rodriguez As long as you know where it came from and let others know it is fine. it is when people don't learn where things are from and share it as just a style of fashion instead of something cultural that it getting lost completely.
woooow these comments tho. i am puerto rican on both sides and guess what my dna both come from sub africa ghana region, Spain, and native american. so this thing about hispanics needs to stop. dont judge especially if you arent. god bless you all
omg you don't know how this video has helped me, bought them huge donuts from poundland and never used it cos i did the big chop now i know how i can use it thanks so much girl
Nadira, thank you so much for the demonstrations! My hair's thinning a bit too rapidly so I've been looking for head scarves or turbans that cover my whole head and i am definitely going to save this and share it. Once I actually get some scarves I'm going to try some of these. Sadly I didn't keep track of which was my favorite, although #10 was super-awesome!
I've been looking for something perfect for my "hairs not ready to wash, but so not ok to show off" days. this will be a very welcome mixup from my usual messy bun with a bandana
I really lov how you wrap the donut with the large scarf it gives such a nice afrocentric look it's my fav and so fab..........I will be doing this style.
This was such a help today! I'm wearing my hair in twists in an attempt to regrow my hair, and I don't like the world to see them. The bun wrap will be my go to. Thank you so much!
THANK YOU so much for this video! I was searching for a way of covering my hair without using my usual "filler" underneath my scarf, and you taught me how! I got up and practised straight away, and it looks divine! Very grateful to you!
Hello! My mother will have chemo sessions soon, so she asked me to learn a couple of turban/ headwrap skills to make her look pretty when her hair is gone. I found your video very helpfull! I'll practice a bit first, but I'm sure she'll look gorgeous thanks to you. And -I don't mean to be intrusive or anything - but I think you're a very beautiful woman and you totally own this look! Good luck to you and thanks again :)
Ohhhhh you use a bun to do head wrap number two!!!!! I was thinking it was only suitable for people with very long hair to make int stay in place! That is why my wrap used to fall apart after a few minutes! lol
+The London Curls Hi, I actually have a whole bunch of head wraps from when I was a loose natural (I'm now locing my hair), so I had that classic turban on my head in a hot second. A new style for me and hubby loved it!! Yesterday, I tried the same kind of thing, but I wound it around behind my right ear. Total hit!! I also bought some bun rings yesterday, so when they arrive I'll be trying that one too and I have a feeling that will be my go-to head wrap!! Thanks again for the tips! xxx
+SueLocd Yep, as suspected, that bun ring has hit the mark and that faux bun will be my go-to head wrap style. I'm loving it!! Can't thank you enough for showing us how to do these. xxx
Beautiful Look! Beautiful Wraps!! Thank you. And you have the nicest British accent, that's a compliment. Absolutely beautiful. Thanks for all of your videos.
You literally saved my life with this video. I normally wear muslim-like head coverings, and therefore own a LOT of loop scarfs. I'm going to a party next Friday, but muslim attire is unwanted there. I want to cover my hair anyway and literally have NO money to buy new scarfs. I was stressing out, and finally found this video, in which you state you can make a turban with a loop scarf. I tried it out, and YES: it worked! Thank you, thank you and thank you! Friday's party: here I come! ❤
This statement breaks my heart: "Muslim arrire is unwanted there". What a terrible thing when you can't be who you are. So sorry. But I hope you had fun anyway💖
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I needed a way to conceal my hair on the days that I need to deep condition it while I drop my kids off at school. Not really into hats but I have lots of scarves 😊. I always thought this was so difficult but you showed me it's easy and chic. Thanks again!!!
mpenny226 perfect, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Next weekend I should be getting my hair put in twists, so a tutorial on how to wrap locs/braids/twists may be on the horizon... stay tuned :)
Awww thank you so much for this video, I can't wait to try. I have this super large vintage looking scarf that I can't figure out how to tie. This was so helpful
Wow really impressed with this video must say so far all the other videos i’v Watched dealing with the same topic hasn’t been the same as yours , yours has been more slower and showing how to do the turning and tucking, really awesome styles showed Keep up the good work🌸🌸
FINALLY I can use my oversized doughnut ring, was thinking about throwing it out, your wonderful video prevented me from making a huge mistake :) Thank you so much, love each and every single one of your wraps :)
123UpNorth321 haha! I can totally relate, it took me a (slightly embarassingly) long time to realise a huge donut of hair on top of my head looked a little bit ridiculous! Glad you enjoyed the video :)
New subby started watching a few days ago, for the henna colouring. First off you're beautiful and your voice is so sensual. Second I am going to give this head wrap a try today *crosses fingers* Thanks for sharing!
Could you please post the measurements of some of your scarves for those of us who want to go to the fabric store and make our own head wraps. Thank you for the tutorial.

That's great, I aim to try one or two those! I just want to know where did you get the yellow, blue and red scarf? I know you said in the video, but I re-winded that 10 times and still couldn't hear where you said where it came from
+Shakila Delilah Nakakeeto Most of my scarves are from H&M, Zara and River Island. Thin material scarves normally pop up in Autumn, so keep a look out!

Many of us Latinos have African and indigenous roots, a lot of us seem to forget that which is the very product of cultural genocide :(
girl if you love it rock it.. remember Africa are your roots
it doesnt matter we all take something from every culture
