Hi Sherry. I’m a candle maker too, and I’m glad I found your channel. I’m addicted to fragrance oils so when I saw this video, I clicked immediately🤣. And I just love the candle making community fragrance reviews. I also like that you made a long video. Thanks for posting this video and sharing.
Thank you so much! I was worried that it was going to be too long... but then I thought, 41 fragrances in 42 minutes was pretty good! LOL. I'm so glad to meet other candle makers!
Thank you! I am looking to try candle science and this video helped with scents I would to try. Love how you keep the fragrance name and notes up on the screen while you review them. Rating the fragrance throw was very appreciated. I love a high hot throw candle.
This was a wonderful video. Thanks so much for sharing. I am heading to Candle Science to pick up a few of these wonderful fragrances! BTW! Candle Science need to add you as a sponsor...you did an outstanding job on explaining the fragrance! Again thanks!
Thanks and I will be posting again beginning this week. Unfortunately, the house next door to me burned down...making it difficult with the noise, smell of smoke, and demolition. I have missed talking to all of you! 🥰
Sherry, this was an excellent video, and I appreciate all the information that you provided. I just switched to C6 wax and your recommendations have been spot on. I love the Tonka and Oud fragrance oil, but I’m having a hard time getting a good burn. I’m using C6 wax 6% fragrance oil and a CD 14 wick in the 9oz straight sided jar. I was just wondering if you had any problems using this oil. Thanks for sharing
Ok. If you allowed the candle to burn for at least 2.5 hours and the tunneling happened...You can either decide to double wick the candle using a smaller size... or retest the candle and make sure you allowed it to burn on the first burn... until it has a full melt pool (side to side). Let me know if this works. And to answer your question, No I have not had this issue with this size candle... in fact I have been able to use a size CD 12 most of the time.@@TMO1227
You should do a remake of this important video, with the fo's that you eventually did do. This video was amazing and TOTALLY necessary. A lot of us newbies try to focus on oils that actually have hot throw.
Hmm…. That’s a hard one to answer right off the top of my head. Did you check out the fragrance review videos… I revealed quite a bit in those videos. Perhaps I should consider your question and do a Video. 👍🏼💗
Hi! Thank you very much for your video! I'm currently using the c-3 soy wax, but it's of the same brand. I now want to try all the scents with good hot throw that you've mentioned, especially blueberry one, tonka and cashmere ones :) Have you ever tried CS wassail fo? I bought a coconut wax candle with that fo, and it had just over the top hot throw. I want to try it soon! Also, have you ever used c-3 cargill wax for your candles? If so, how was it for you? Did c-6 have a stronger hot throw? Thanks!
Yes, I. have used c-3 and I had trouble with sink holes and the tops were not as smooth as the c-6. I really liked the CS Wassail Fragrance Oil.. and the hot throw was about a 7.5 for me. Let me know how things go!
@@wilcandles Thank you very much! I think I'll try the c-6, at least for the scientific purposes ;;)) And also will buy Wassail fo. I think you're right, I don't have to rush on things, even though all my friends say the opposite. So I'd better prepare to fall season...

This is a fabulous review and I watched several times. Thank you for doing this.
Thank you so much … glad it helped 💗

The Candlescience website is also very helpful with choosing wick sizes and tons of other helpful info. I’m glad you found this helpful.
Thank you so much for taking the time to give your opinion on the fragrances.
You are very welcome… and thank you for watching. 💗
Thank you so very much for doing this and for rating both the cold and hot throw. Great place for us just starting out. We appreciate you.
Thank so much… and you are very welcome! ❤️

Awww... thanks so much. What exactly do you mean by "a good burn?" Also, have you tried a CD 12 wick with that same jar and fragrance oil?
@@wilcandles the candle is actually tunneling leaving a lot of wax on the side

Thank you…
Loooove this video. Watched 3 times. Made notes. Hope would be able to get these fragrances from USA
Thank you ❤️. Please let me know if you can get them. Where are you located?

Every fragrance has the ability to have good hot throw… depends on the wax that you use.
Thanks! ❤Would like to know your top 10 hot throw smells

So what percentage of oil do you suggest when making candles
I use 6% in Coconut-Soy Wax. It will depend on the wax you use. Read the usage information on the packaging. 👍🏼❤️
Are you into mentioning at all?
@@marthalockard9868 I’m not sure what you’re asking. Can you explain.? Thanks.
Love the video and your take on fragrances was spot on, however, it was a little long.
Thanks so much. 💗. It was quite a task to review 41 fragrances 😊
@@wilcandles. I like the longer videos.
I disagree. It’s a review video, not a quick take video.
If someone told me that this lady was was related to Vice president Kamala HArris I would believe it 😂
I’ve been told that many times. 😀🤣🤣. And if I was… I wouldn’t tell anyone because I hope you are here because you like my videos 💗😋
