Be very careful about choosing PowerTronic items of any kind. If you want more performance, find another way. My FuelX Lite worked good for 3 months, then started making engine stall and run erratically. I uninstalled and the bike ran fine. I figured like any reputable company, I could simply return it and get it exchanged under warranty. They refused to let me return it and demanded I reinstall it and video record the led lights to prove to them it was not my fault. Nowhere in their warranty does it state you must do this. They could have simply waited till I shipped it back and they could have tested it, but they refused. The last part of their warranty, states how they hide behind Bangalore court system.

I have a 2017 Duke 390. I plan on having a fully unrestricted exhaust (no cat etc.) and a high performance air filter with a coober air box lid. I do not really care about doing my own mapping or taking it to get dyno tuned. Would the Fuel X or this model be sufficient for me? Thanks much!
That depends on what you want! By itself it is not really required. But an ECU can help you get the max performance out of your performance filters. The overall motorcycle as a unit will perform better with an ECU.

Thank you. 1) No, it does not. What you are technically doing is replacing the stock ECU unit with a custom one with custom maps. This should not affect your engine's reliability by itself. With the right riding practices, the engine should be as reliable. However, if you want more clarification on this please do get in touch with the Powertronic customer care who will clarify your exact concern. 2) Quick shifter is for up shifts only! They work like a gem on the Royal Enfield Interceptor. (Personally ridden it and found it amazing) Hope this clarifies your doubt!
