MD today freaked me out with a 147 reading. Ive never had high bp. I came home and took one session of three, where the first was around 140 and the other two one at 120 the next at 117. Then one a few mins ago, 137, then i lifted my sleeve and got 117, then 113. I guess I shouldnt freak out then. Right? Btw the bottom number was fine as well.

Thank you for sharing. The recommendation is always to lift the sleeve. Also, if the sleeve becomes too tight when lifting it, remove that shirt.

My BP goes from around 129 to 114 from first to second reading, then stays low for any further readings. I'm assuming the first is not accurate (hopefully)

Same here. My first one is sometimes high when I have panic attack, the second and third comes down. But any reading from the 4th one is perfectly okay

I’m 76 and my doctor takes only one reading and now I have a kid at home and I take about three readings but what’s the best time of day to take it before or after activity morning or night before a meal or after meal or should I take it after I take my walk as soon as I get in or before and after? I’ll need some answers. It keeps registering anywhere between 130 and 165 or so but in the doctors office it was 160/85 over some thing.
