Very informative. Thank you very much. I will be scheduling an appointment soon.
You're welcome, Andrea Martin. I'm glad you found the video informative, and I hope to hear from you soon!
Prior to a lower blepharoplasty, I wasn't disliking my semi-hooded eyes. (Well, not too much.) While the incision done right under my eye is not noticeable, meaning beautifully sewn, much of the bags remain. Plus, my upper lid seems to have been pulled down as well, making the upper seem heavier now. One eye tears a lot, as well. The one eye with the most upper lid, as the eyes are different, has a tearing issue. I was told by an RN esthetician nurse that I should consult with an Ocular Plastic surgeon and that the procedures to correct should be covered due to that one eye having the watering problem and ptosis now.
Hi Lynne,
I am an oculoplastic surgeon, and I would need to examine you to determine if you have eyelid ptosis. While eyelid ptosis can be covered by insurance if vision is affected, my offices do not accept insurance. You can refer to this video on how I diagnose, and treat eyelid ptosis - ruclips.net/video/7gWSjQce3DQ/видео.html

You're welcome, Legacy Builders. I'm glad you found the video informative.
I got this surgery two weeks ago in turkey unfortunately so far I still have bags I don't have retraction or any complications it was done tranconjunctivally although one side I'd flatter than the other. There is less of a bag than the other side but that's only if you focus on my eyes for long enough I'm pretty unhappy with my result tbh looks like I had nothing done
Hi @sponsponm1,
Sorry to hear about your problem. One of the issues with medical tourism is that the follow up process can be complicated, especially with surgery. I would normally recommend you follow up with your surgeon. If you'd like a proper second opinion, I would have to examine your eyelids. It is possible that enough prolapsed orbital fat was removed, but it is also possible that temporary swelling after surgery is making one side look puffier than the other. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Hey Dr. Prasad. Terrific video! I am trying to discern what to do and who I should be seeking out. My under eyes are swollen, not saggy. I got a cold in 1/21 that just wouldn't go away (not covid) and they continue to get progressively more puffy since. I have had a CT and a sinus scope that were 'negative'. I eliminated environmental and food allergens but I continue to watch it increase - very slowly. Is this how the fat develops? Or should I be seeking more ENT intervention? I continue to have sinus symptoms (stuffiness and runny nose) that no allergy med, spray or drop changes. I've resolved myself that I'll be having surgery, but do I run the risk that the puff will come back?
Hi @user-zh8si8br8j,
The type of eye bags I treat are caused by prolapsed orbital fat. Orbital fat normally surrounds, and cushions the eyeball, but it can herniate and prolapse forward, causing puffy eye bags. These types of eye bags are always puffy and visible, so they don't go down. You do need to be evaluated to confirm the cause of your puffiness under the eyes before treatment can be recommended. In the meantime, you can refer to this video about the different causes of eye bags - ruclips.net/video/kDxDW7Qeuog/видео.html
Transconjunctival is the best Option for hereditary Hollows in my Op.
Hi Hawaiian Prestige Cars,
While transconjunctival blepharoplasty is my preferred lower eyelid surgery I perform, and it can be used when puffiness causes the adjacent area to appear hollow, it isn't the right procedure when hollowness is caused by a volume deficiency under the eyes. You can refer to these videos about treating hollow under eyes, and when transconjunctival blepharoplasty is used when treating hollowness:

Hi i am 26 yrs didn't had any surgery before but my lower eyelid has gone down, don't know the reason, what caused it , plz guide
Doy you know anyone in india who could help ?
Had you been in india would have taken consultation with you
Hi @nileshmahindrakar345,
Sorry to hear about your problem. It is possible to have lower eyelid retraction due to an injury, or genetics. I suggest you seek an oculofacial/oculoplastic surgeon who specializes in eyelid surgery, and are also trained in eye surgery as we are specialty trained. I'm not familiar with oculofacial/ oculoplastic surgeons in India, but you can also get a referral from a local ophthalmologist. I hope this helps you.
Love the video where are you located?

I am 18 I have lower eyelid retraction in both eyes it started in. 2024 what can I do 😢
Hi @Abhi-jw5sh,
Sorry to hear about your problem. Your condition needs to be properly diagnosed with a physical examination before treatment can be recommended. I hope this helps you.
Its been 3 weeks but after ive done my quad bleph my eyes is sunken makes my eyes dark
Hi @Rawwwrrr124,
Sorry to hear about your problem. I can't make an assessment based on your brief description, so I would have to perform a physical examination, as well as review the medical records of your surgery to give you a proper second opinion. I hope you understand.
Can you inject the eye bags with yellow bottle fat disolver?
Hi @galaxi407,
Dissolving prolapsed orbital fat is not recommended as it is imprecise, and can affect other tissue besides orbital fat. Also, after sculpting fat during surgery, a little fat is left behind to prevent a hollow appearance. With a dissolving agent, you may dissolve too much fat, and look hollow, and tired, which defeats the purpose of treatment. You can refer to this video about it - ruclips.net/video/vnDSkbD5Pd4/видео.html
Hi dr. My dr advised me to have the incision outside to prevent from sagging because i have excess skin. Should i get the trans conjunctival or the external incision? What’s your thought? Is it ok if i get the external incision? He is an opthalmic surgeon. Thanks
Hi World's Best!,
There is hardly ever a case where wrinkles or crepey skin under the eyes are due to excess skin, because almost all cases are due to diminished skin quality, not excess skin quantity. Complications from lower eyelid surgery are mostly due to this assumption of "excess skin", and removal of the skin leads to a skin shortage, lower eyelid retraction, and ectropion. You can refer to these videos on how wrinkles in the lower eyelids can be treated without skin removal:

Can you recommend a board certified surgeon in the LA area? (Orange County)
Hi jammin6816,
I suggest you look for eyelid surgery specialists, and ask for transconjunctival blepharoplasty by name, which involves no external incision in the lower eyelid for visible scarring and potential damage to lower eyelid support structures; and insist on no lower eyelid skin removal to treat wrinkles, as this can cause skin shortage that will pull down the lower eyelids. Under eye wrinkles can be treated non-surgically to improve skin quality. I hope this helps you.
Hi sir iam 18 years old and suffering slow hairfall from last 2 years, the tiny hairs in between are not growing what should I do?
Hi Rohit Kumar,
It's important to see a local doctor for a proper diagnosis for male pattern hair loss, as initial treatments like finasteride require a doctor's prescription. You can review these videos on how male pattern hair loss is diagnosed, and treated; and the factors of pattern hair loss in men:

Sir, pls make video on supramaximal levator resection vs frontalis sling.
Hi Rajan Rawal,
I hope you understand that those are not comparable procedures because levator muscle resection is done when there is eyelid ptosis, but there is still function in the levator muscle. A frontalis sling is done when there are no other options because there is little to no function of the levator muscle, so the frontalis muscle is used to raise the eyelid. I hope this clarifies things for you.
@@AmiyaPrasadMD Sir, it is being said supra maximal levator resection is an, alternative of frontalis sling. Is it true.
Sir i am on finastride from the last 6 months there was no changes in hairloss till 5 months. At the 5 th month i noticed that hairloss slows down and no more hair fall. But now almost on the 6 th and half month my hair loss began to increase like the same before always shedding hairs madly 🥺.
Hi abhi chat,
Finasteride is primarily for slowing hair thinning by blocking DHT-formation, with a limited effect on thickening thinning hair. Hair shedding can be normal shedding of 50-100 a day, or temporary increased shedding from using finasteride, which can occur for up to 6 months from first starting using. Male pattern hair loss is progressive hair thinning, not hair shedding. Pattern hair loss happens when the shed hair grows back thinner, and there is a delay in regrowth. You can refer to this video about it - ruclips.net/video/1B1hz-mTs38/видео.html
@@AmiyaPrasadMD HI AMIYA PRASAD SIR
Myself lavin iam also using fin 1 mg / day its been 7 th month since i started taking my first pill till now my hair fall not stopping. i still loose lot of hairs especially when i plash my head with very high force at that time lot of lot of thin hairs will falls out around 50 - 100 hairs in a time those hairs are very very small. I strongly suspect that sleeplessness and over stressing affects finasterade s efficiency.
Can Lower blepharoplasty help get rid of under sclera show?
Hi Park sahara,
Raising the lower eyelids to reduce scleral show involves more specialized procedures than lower blepharoplasty. An examination is needed to determine what approach can best help you. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Prasad sir i recently put braces on teeth. i am thinking about for a hair transplant, is there any problem going for a hair transplant with braces on teeth ??
Hi lepha,
While there is no problem with scalp hair transplants after you've had braces, hair transplants are not recommended for men under 30, and for women with diffuse hair thinning. You can refer to these videos about it:

I am facing dandruff problems , what's the cure for it?
Hi Alex Wadagale,
There are various over-the-counter dandruff shampoos. If you have used them, and they didn't work for you, I suggest you see a dermatologist for an examination, and possible prescription strength medication. Treating dandruff is not within the focus of my medical practice. I hope this helps you.
Hi dr.
I had male pattern hairloss in my family my father is bald thats why iam facing this.
I had a question will my baldness grade ends same as like my father. Is that sure and mandatory.
Will my graft quality and everything ends like him
Hi ganesh,
It is highly unlikely that you will manifest pattern hair loss exactly the same as your father. The genes for pattern hair loss can come from several generations from both sides of your family.
If you are considering a hair transplant, you shouldn't have it done if you are younger than 30. You can refer to this video about it - ruclips.net/video/2GkCy-30hFg/видео.html
