This huge 36x48 incher is the middle part of a triptych - a continuous swipe. Watch me how I use the pillow paint to get the composition I need.
This piece shows me what I really want. Going big!!!!

The spinner I'm using is my own design and creation. Every single workstep is done by my hands and my table saw (operated by me)
I sell these on my homepage and if you want to up your game and create on big canvases, you seriously should check it out!
DISCLAIMER: It's a tool for serious artists, I always recommend getting a small , cheaper spinner to try if spinning is your thing first. After you've tried other versions, I promise you'll appreciate this guy over all of them if you work with big heavy canvasses and you spin all the time, like me.

I’m so happy you like it! Yeah it’s a pretty nice diptych.
Love the triptych love all the negative space and I learned a lot about making it contiguous I am trying to absorb everything I learned by watching and listening to you thank you so much
This is a stunning result. Large scale is the way to go. Bravo
Thank you! Yeah, I love big pieces and this was so much fun to do
Not afraid of open space…Love it!
nope, that's where the magic happens
Oh the ending is was so delightful, well done Jessica, simply gorgeous, minimalist with wo much interest. Now the only -problem is to find a wall big enough and a home grand enough to showcase this masterpiece.
Absolutely stunning!!!
Love my SPINNER! So fun - spins so smoothly - thank you!
Beautiful. The lesson on pillow paint was very helpful. Now..I get it.
That’s a good feedback. I’m always uncertain if what I say just makes sense in my little head. Thank you
Holy Cow. Really impressive work. Composition is spot on and the cemetery and flow of the 3 pieces is beautiful. Congratulations

Oh, and…thank you 😘
FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Janice, I'm so glad you like it!
Thank you very much for the details about tilting and stretching on large cavases. Learning things to do to keep control of the compassion. I am lookin forward to trying this.

That’s so lovely to hear! Thank you so much
Thank you for sharing your extreme talent , it is enjoyable to watch from a board with white paint on and then watch each small addition of paint and movement. You certainly make it all look easy , but you inspired me some time ago with the swipes, and trust me , it is taking some practice, one day it's wow , love it and then the next time three end up in the bin.......... Love your work , it is truly inspiring
Terry
Thank you so very much for your kind words, Terry! I’m so glad you’re here and helping me trusting myself ❤️

WOW, the line-up is perfect. I'm checking into your large spinner. And I love the cardboard? box it's in
Yay! So, I built myself a spinning table. It’s 5 feet in diameter and I added a border out of cardboard. Just taped it around it.
Beautiful!😊💕
Thank you!
Amazing! Thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you so much for watching, Patti

Thank you, Lori! I hope you're well!
Beautiful 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Thanks a bunch, Judy!
Absolutely stunning. 💖 I just love to watch you create. I work with such thin consistency paints I have got to try this. Looks so difficult, I would mess it up for sure. You make it look so easy but I'm sure it is not. Again, just beautiful.🥰
Thank you so much! Yes, you do need thicker paint for this. Otherwise your composition will just sink immediately. It has a learning curve but the potential this technique has is just huge and it’s so much fun!
Well done!
Thank you so much!
Gorgeous
Thank you so much, Sandi!
Great composition.
Well done! 😁
Thanks, Susie!

Oh thank you, my friend! 💋💋💋
c'est vraiment très beau, je vous aime beaucoup merci de nous partager
Amazing 👏
Thank you so much, Bettina!
Thank you so much for your inspiration and great tips. Specialy about the pillow and the (not) attaching to soon. Makes perfect sence and thanks for sharing. I'm still experimenting with my pillow as wall paints are different in Europe.
Love the paintings and how you managed to aline the three together 👏👏👏❣️
You are so welcome! Yeah, I know it's hard to find the right ingredients in europe. I just booked a flight to germany and hope to spend some time researching...
@@WinterStromArt Have a great time in Germany! And good fun with researching. It is all about the journey and having fun experimenting and creating 🌟
Super cool!
Love it
Yay! Good to hear. Thank you
Aha…lightbulb moment! One of my pet peeves with fluid art is being able tell how the paint has been stretched…this completely makes sense…let the “compositioning” begin❤️. Beautiful.
I feel ya. Same with me. That’s why I love spinning and tilting in combination next to playing with the amount of base paint.
I’ve never paid much attention to the pillow touching the edges of the canvas and anchoring the composition. Thank your for this tip.
@@biner59 I'm glad it made sense. The more you try to keep your composition 'unattached' the more you can play with it. the more it attaches to something the less free it is. kinda like real life...
👍
Wahooooo fantastique thanks
Merci ❤️❤️❤️
All three swipes are beautiful 😍. You did an amazing job, having them all flow in a continuous line and matching up. Great work Jessica ♥️😍💐💐💐
Thank you so much! It was tricky but it worked out in the end!
Really interesting like your work

Wow Jessica, what an awesome journey...loved watching this middle piece being created today!!! Stunning as I would only expect from you! What a trip!😘
Thank you so much, my friend! I appreciate you being here, love from the north!
Awesome job! Love it and the way you measured to have them all flow together!
Thank you, Brenda! I was not sure if ‘just’ measuring would work but it did. I got lucky
Love it 😍
Yay! Good to hear. It was a challenge
@@WinterStromArt I bet it was. But you made it look so easy❤️
Beautiful minimalistic art work...I love it 😀 😍
Thank you so much, Camille!

Thank you for watching, rose! I appreciate your support a lot! 🌸
That flows beautifully Jess such an elegant piece you have certainly mastered the art 😍
Thank you for saying that. This was a fun commission I really love to go big, somehow I need a bigger studio…
Well just magnificent. I've never seen such a huge triptych before. Whoever gets to own this is one very lucky person. You are so talented Jess. Btw... I was convinced your little dog was going to wee up one of them. Which may have provided the fluid art world with a brand new cell activator to work with. 🤣🤣
Haha! That would have been priceless!
Oh hahahaah! I was thinking the doggo might swipe their tail on the slightly wet painting and add a whole new design!
Wonderful creations, all three! Were you using Glidden paint, or Behr for the Pillow?
Thank you! I use the glidden essentials for the pillow. Behr Dynasty deep base and varnish for the pouring medium. You can find the details in the description
😊
♥️♥️♥️
Hi Jessica, absolutely lovely. I've been using your recommended house paint for my pillow. I get a lot of air bubbles! Either the white paint comes up to the point that it ruins my painting, or just a ton of air bubbles. When I poke them with a very fine tool, it leaves a "dent" or hole in the pillow. I would love some suggestions on what to do. Many thanks
👍
😘
I Love it ❤️❤️❤️
How did you keep the piece on the extensions? I have four canvases this size that I’m working up the courage to do and this video has given me ideas on how to control the compositioning.
I don’t do anything to keep it down. Usually the weight and wet paint underneath sticks it down pretty good. Sometimes I even have to pry the canvas up because the paint glued it down so much. Big pieces don’t need too much speed… I hope this helped
No BS THATS JUST BAD ASS... CHRIS 😝😝😝
I'm happy you like it! Thank you for watching!
Im struggling with consistency issues. My studio is in a basement that would be s cold room for beer and champagne in a large house. I keep thinking its all thin enough then nothing moves.i see with swipes you use lots of pillow so ive been doing that. Its really expensive paint I got for free to use as my pillow. But im really having a week of fails. Onlt when i goofed around with a split cup and some us flotral didvthe terrible results not make me cringe. Whats your rule on what the consistency of the different layers? Thx for your time!
Gosh, that s🌸cks! So, I want my pillow to be fluid but thick enough to hold the composition on top. It shouldn't sink down. The Paints are like honey when they drizzle down your mixing stick. They should form a mount that sinks after 3 seconds. Important is that they have a similar consistency. You can get away with a lot when swiping...
I hope this helped a little...
@@WinterStromArt Cheers for taking the time. I have a housepainter nephew and hes working on fancy homes where they pay the most for everything Opulence by Sherwin Williams is the new almost FULL that im usiing for my pillow its FREE and i learned that its so thick I'm gonna thin it out.not with water over 30% water in acrylic / latex isnt recommended snd i do have US FLOETROL but I don't want to use it. I do have 4 oz or 6 of Golden gloss medium...liquitex is thinner or what should i do what tried last and it worked..added 1/2 part of Artists loft flow acrylic....whaddya recommend? If water isnt too mu h then mYbe its fine for pillow BECAUSE PILLOW IS TOOL in tbis method....again SORRY this islast one!! I APPRECIATE YOUR HELP
I also have little control of the composition. 🤔
Oh my sweet Jesus...I literally can't breathe..... (5 minutes later)...I have a huge vocabulary but still can't find descriptors........
Haha. I hope you’re ok… 😘
