It seems like chill season but with way more content. Hopefully in the actual trailer we get the reveal of a new weapon. Everything looks so good and there seems to be so much gear in this update. All the gear shown off looks so good! Manta Maria returning is so exciting! It would have been nice to at least gotten three stages but two is fine for now. All of this is so exciting!
I feel like those balloon subs are going to function like the pufferfish in single player. Place them down and shoot them, making them expand and explode.
I wonder how this new Kraken will differentiate itself from Stamp and Reefslider! I’m really looking forward to it, I’ve wanted it back for so long. Also, I thought the little bubbles were gonna be a new sub, like a Bomb that only goes off when you shoot it - but I can see that working as a special as well, like a more aggressive version of Bubble Blower. Exciting stuff coming up!!
My guess is the fireworks special will work similar to the bombs used by marina in the octo expansion finale. Being big bombs that need to be placed and then activated by shooting ink they could take the place of something like bubble blower plus bomb rush from 2.
Some finer details about Kraken from what was shown: - Basic movement in the special is slower - Basic jump attack is weaker, requiring two hits to splat, but covers a much larger area -The special includes a new charged attack in the form of a faster, longer jump. This attack splats in one hit, unlike the uncharged attack. Granted, this is all subject to change, since these are just teaser clips. I also hope they change the name when for the NA region - I don’t know about you, but I definitely prefer something like “Leviathan” over “Kraken Royale”….
@@normanred9212 clearly Kraken and Leviathan are different-I wouldn’t have suggested it as an alternative name if they were the save creature. Though we will probably get a name change of some kind, since Kraken isn’t really applicable to octopi.

Kraken is absolutely applicable to octopi. The Kraken was originally described as an octopus. The squid portrayal came later.

Kraken will be really good for displacing crab tanks, so I like this
