Great vid Shaun, I’m a bus driver and car drivers never leave you any room they don’t understand, and cut the bus up all the time in Aberdeen, it’s crazy stuff on narrow roads.
Great video Shaun, the new camera angle looks amazing! It must get annoying having a bus with an off centred steering wheel like that, at one point Stagecoach 10683's steering wheel was off centred a full 90 degrees left which the driver said was a pain because he couldn't see the dash properly. Luckily it got fixed a few days after :)
Thanks for that ride Shaun. I last rode it four years ago, on the day Jo Cox MP, was murdered and when it continued to Dewsbury. Used to ride it on family visits to Lower Hopton many years ago, on a County Motors lowbridge Guy Arab/Roe, so full that the side gangway upstairs and the stairs, were crammed with Sunday afternoon riders.
Your bus rides so smoothly. I wish our buses here where I live did. They’re pretty much always jerking and getting overheated lol. But that’s the job that we have I guess lol.
Where I currently live we have Faresaver & coachstyle, coachstyle doesn’t look after their buses at all and bottoms them out all the time not maintaining them, the bumpers r held on by tape. Faresaver actually good.
Great video mate! Quick question, what are your tempos like to drive? As my local depot in Castleford have a bunch of them 1307-1312, I think the first batch of these are with you guys at Waterloo is it? Just want to know what they are like to drive? How often do you do Wakefield routes? As I'm in Wakefield quite a lot and one day, I might bump into you haha. :) Keep up the good content mate.
Hi Shaun I applied to stagecoach last week via email and they said I had passed the online test .I am now waiting for them to call me .does it take a while for them to contact you .thanks mike
hi mate! I wouldn't worry too much. Usually they will call you a week after to confirm an interview or if you've had an interview then you might get a letter to confirm your conditional employment! Or just give them a call just to 'ask where things are at and what time scale you're looking at' hope this helps buddy! good luck.
Is the lack of passengers due to the virus? Your routes must be heavily subsidised. What sort of time table do you work too? Are your stages GPS controlled? Good job getting through some of those gaps. Stupid car drivers have no idea until they get hit, then all hall breaks loose.
In England, it is common for cars to be parked at the side of the road outside houses, there is often no where else to park. Many of the houses are very old and cars weren't even dreamt of when they were built, or the prospect of owning a car was not envisaged.

im from golcar, wish it was still kline, one thing i noticed, most the buses steering wheels you drive with are so offset, why?! and isnt it dangerouse
@@TheFlatCapBusDriver you’re better than I. Lol. Took me months to memorize all of the transit routes. Forget about the commuter ones to downtown LA. Nope nope nope.
Please reply to this comment you must be really happy that you’re back driving buses what would you say Is the best thing that ever happens as you’ve been starting driving buses again
Sounds like you've got a bulb out abit of a quick ticker there lol
wright cadets are my favorite busses due to nostalgia.
they sound amazing
Top driving pal!
These buses produce some amazing thrash!
Now this, this is the content I subscribe for, please do more cab rides with that camera angle

Good camera angle that, clearly see everything there. Some of those roads were a bit tight!!
Do you cringe too when he goes down a narrow road?
Fantastic video! I’ve been waiting for a cadet video. Love VDLs! Thank you for the upload! Hope you’re keeping well.

I'm guessing that you were driving 617 (VDL Cadet) nice video as well keep it up pal.
Those are some narrow roads shaun, and that's coming from a bus driver myself!
That's nothing compared to other routes, some drivers are seriously skilled 😱
Great to have you back bud, the ticket machine you have compared to the ones we at stagecoach ,yours look so much better .
Lovely bus and driving, reminds me more of a Dart than anything 😂
Good old cadet!!! Good vid!
Driving a bus looks really fun! Fabulous video👍👍🏻👍🏼👍🏾👍🏿👍🏽
It is fun :) thank you buddy
@@TheFlatCapBusDriver your very welcome!
The offset steering wheel is upsetting me deeply. 😂
I used to see that on every Volvo Olympian i went on. Fitters never clamped the steering wheel when doing the tracking.
That is a job you'll never tire of doing, never get bored of countryside routes - right? lol ;-)

Awesome driving Shaun, stay safe
I love these buses!
You have super driving skills 💐💐💐💐
Nice video Shaun btw
Cool video Shaun
Muito legal seus vídeos assistindo aqui Brasil
Lovely cadet, can really hear her roar
Also noticed there is no end * for the part route 🙂👍
For a split second at the beginning I thought you were driving on the American side of the ride haha. God I’m tired
Would u consider doing a livestream while doing a route
Nice Vid really like the steering on the cadet let me guess it is LFO the bus?
Ah I hope to drive a bus up north someday, looks cushty compared to London.
I've only ever seen Daf Cadet's around West Yorkshire and Cheshire. Like Dennis Dart's SLF's they don't like hot weather.
Love this angle of camera but who fitted that screen and what they use blutack .
It's fitted with some quick release studs at the top. A little bit of a pain at times but hoenstly they aren't that bad when driving around :)

Do you have a passenger limit since Covid? Out here in the states we’re only allowed to transport 15 passengers and they must enter through the back
We used to it was about 15-25 I think.
At 17:49 that’s tight
What is it with bus mechanics that can't be assed to put the wheel back on straight

Hello,,, if the bus driver works for 10 years does he gets paid extra benefit money? There in london? Thank you.

Looks like a narrow and hilly route.
They don’t leave you much room down some of those roads....
How long did it take you to learn this route? A lot of turns in it.
I'm pretty good at remembering routes, just a trip there and back to learn it 😁😁
