If you stay in any hotel in Cuba, you are supporting Castro's dictators. They have stolen our entire island and your money will only perpetuate our suffering.
We had good weather, sun, no clouds, no wind, 27-30 degrees. But the week before and the week after the weather wasn't good (clouds, wind, rain, 24-25C). Some people say in winter it's better to go to Holguin and avoid Varadero and CSM.
December can be touch and go when it comes to weather. We usually travel to Cuba the last week of March and the last week of October. The weather is favorable with virtually no rain . If you want warmer water temperatures then the end of October is better . This is a nice resort and I have been to it twice .

Hi! Yes, I like it, but it depends on what you prefer. I liked the stunning beach, the grounds with lots of vegetation and flowers and the atmosphere in the lobby, in the evening. Yes, some moskitos. The food wasn't very varied. There is an economic crisis in Cuba... I have no expectations for great food when I go to Cuba and I allways find something good to eat.

❤ can you compare Melia Las Dunas and Melia Cayo Santa Maria ? Thanks.
Sorry, I didn't stay at Melia las Dunas. But I heard that Melia CSM is much smaller, quieter, less family-friendly and better maintained.
how was the temperature there in december..as we are thinking a x mas getaway next year,,,from ontario cold months lol

Hi! Do you like this hotel? What about mosquitos and other insects? Was the food good and varied?
