    I saw this tour in Savannah Georgia . They opened up for Ted Nugent and Yngwie ran the whole night . He was like Angus Young on twelve cups of coffee . Best stage presence I ever saw until Nuge came out and ran the entire night as well . Both of them were incredible .

    I love how he is going balls out, that's what's rocknroll is all about. Walking the edge musically and sometimes almost falling over. And Yngwie of course is at his best here..

    I can't believe how Graham manages to hit all those high notes, off key or whatever... You have to push so hard to get up there, anyone who has sung like that knows it. I have a similar singing style, but I´m nowhere near him. It´s just raw power! imagine screaming on the top of your lungs for two hours, in perfect pitch... and without your voice getting tired or your throat getting sore...

    The album with this song on it was simply amazing, and I couldn't ever find a copy. I had a cheap copy on cassette that I wore out. The thing that made Alcatraz such a powerful act were Malmsteen, that singer, and the fact that they tossed a Hamond organ into the mix. The Hammond started to get eclipsed briefly in the 80's by all those boring digital synths that weren't nearly as cool as real analog synths anyway. The Hammond came back with a vengeance in the 90's with the "folk-rock" wave.

    • @yactabay
      @yactabay 11 месяцев назад

      I was able to get a CD copy from Japan back then. It was $13 and I imagine plus shipping. I probably spent about $20 from the late 80’s being about $50 in today’s money. That was a lot at about age $22 back then. Were I not still living at home I would never have been able to buy it plus all the other regular CD’s. Man we wasted mo ey. Now everyone can just go online and play what they want and not spend a penny.

  • @jesusguerra1093
    @jesusguerra1093 7 лет назад +3

    show this malmsteen performance to any of his haters and if they still continue hating this amazing player after that then their ears must be chopped off, neat performance from the master himself, in the 80's malmsteen was untouchable, no wonder why he has influenced so many players with his fast flashing yet coherent style. I agree his a little bit sloppy nowadays but nontheless back in the days no guitarrist match yngwie's skills, perhaps the closest to match him was steve vai and yet i doubt it.

  •  8 лет назад

    that night he was a little off! Try to listen to the live with Steve Vai a year later and he's perfect! Bonnet is my favourite singer ever! He has an extreme bluesy style of singing! And sometimes of course
    his voice can be a little tired.

    He was asked to join Alcatrazz,he opted to do that instead of joining UFO wich he was also asked to join.His goal was always to record and tour under his own name but he was in no position to do so at that time because he wasn't wellknown enough.So he didn't "take" bonnet at all,he was advised to take the place in the band and he did to further his career.And tbh he's been a guitar god ever since the steeler days,dont forget the "Yngwie is god" T-shirts..

    Yes I have to agree with you on Steve Vai not only is he a master of his instrument but he is a perfectionist when it comes to his sound and technique...It is very rare to find a bad recording of his work and the ones that you do find are third generation dubs....I think what irks me the most about malmsteen is his cocky arrogance it so much takes away from the music and performance that he does ...Maybe a little humility would do him good...but hey thats just me ...Keep up the good work mate
