What is Lab missing to reliably beat a lot of decks. Sometimes you are extremely limited if you don’t have actual trap cards. The rollback never seems like it will do enough.
I've noticed that having an odd number of cards to work with seems to be Lab's biggest issue. The sixth card potential is high and having an even number means you're more capable of investing into rolling the engine as a whole instead of only with Lovely or Traps, since each combo in the deck requires two cards by default. I've always felt Extravagance was better for the deck for this reason. It's also weaker to the low-impact handtraps than other decks, at the trade-off of being better against high-impact cards. If it ever gets an Extra Deck monster that goes +1 on summon (I feel like it would be a Link version of Lady personally), I imagine the deck will be more consistently competitive.
I mean on that case lab missplayed really hard game 1. It was an easy win. The match-up is absolutely free. G2 weak hand, it happen sometimes. I think lab is a strong deck but it's really match-up dependant and have a bit of trouble against really aggressive decks
@@nlm7033 not really both of those were meta defining for a while and you could play dragoon in anything tbh it just we got a lot more non targeting removal

Lab is unironically missing Maxx c, without it the deck always looks good to great on paper but falls short in practice
I agree, i think that the new monster coming out that will replace maxx c will make a huge difference for lab, even more than rollback itself

A good pilot
Hey DB, how do we get back into yugioh if we took a long break? I stopped playing during Drytron format
you'll have to get into the competitive talks and meta, i really recommend you to play master duel
Master duel is a pretty decent way to get back into the swing of things, pick up the mechanics and know what’s good.
