    As an avid TCGP player, Mew2 main, and avid watcher of TCGP RUclips content, I must say that videos like this is exactly what RUclips was missing. There was no "OMG, you must try this C(rap) tier deck because it's AMAZING!" No whining about this card or that. No pompousness or arrogance because one time you placed in some backwater tournament with 32 people with Numetal. (though I will admit, winning with Numetal against S tier decks is funny) Your video was just clean, concise, accurate and thorough. Well done, Sir! On that note, consider me sub number 205.

    A very nice and thorough guide. Mewtwo Ex is one heck of a monster deck and this really outlines why. Crazy thing is that it didn't gain that much from the mini-set, but remains overwhelming!

    • @UndeadP6Ke
      @UndeadP6Ke  18 дней назад

      The context of the new set gave it both a super strong enemy in gyarados, but also the really nice context of the other decks in the game being overall weaker against mewtwo, sometimes context is the buff or the nerf that new cards give

      Mystical Slab is actually a huge upgrade, before you were way more likely to just having Gardevoir or Kirlia chilling in the bottom of your deck. As long as it doesn’t hit exactly Professor’s Research you are getting closer to the card you need way more consistently.

    Thanks for the great detailed video :) What is your take on the decks with one fossil instead of the Jynx or MewEX?
    I'm not too knowledgeable on this deck, I'm still getting the pack points to craft my second Gardevoir to completely the list. But yeah i saw people talk about the fossil, for possible Sabrina mixups?
    Keen to hear what you think :)

    • @UndeadP6Ke
      @UndeadP6Ke  18 дней назад +1

      @theplaguedoc1997 this deck doesn't need the sabrina support so much, since gardevoir can inherently support retreats. Importantly, that 1 deck slot is so important from format to format for solving this decks biggest weaknesses, for example in GA Format this deck used regular non-ex mewtwo as a wall to soak up damage and only give 1 prize point

    The problem with mewtwo is you cant really set anything else up because you need to use gardevoir and your energy to keep MT going. Basically putting all your eggs in one basket.

  • @dvaccaro96
    @dvaccaro96 16 дней назад +2

    Amazing video. I only spotted one mistake. Zapdos does not have 40% chance to hit a 150 or 200. That is because coin tosses do not work that way. Getting a 0 or a 200 is much less likely than the other options, because there is only one arrangement of coins that can make that happen, while there are multiple arrangements of coins that can result in a 50, 100, or 150. The math is a little too complex to write down here, but just look up how to calculate the likelihood of multiple coin tosses.
    I also disagree on your evaluation of Mew ex in the deck. Mew can fuck up so many strategies, with the only real exception being Gyarados ex (which is the best deck in the game imo in part for that reason). Jynx is a good option, but notice that Mew can demolish huge ex threats before they set up, while Jynx needs them to already be scary af to kill.

    • @farhanjafni9702
      @farhanjafni9702 12 дней назад

      Here are the probabilities for each possible combination of heads (H) and tails (T) in 4 coin tosses:
      HHHH: 6.25%
      HHHT: 6.25%
      HHTH: 6.25%
      HHTT: 6.25%
      HTHH: 6.25%
      HTHT: 6.25%
      HTTH: 6.25%
      HTTT: 6.25%
      THHH: 6.25%
      THHT: 6.25%
      THTH: 6.25%
      THTT: 6.25%
      TTHH: 6.25%
      TTHT: 6.25%
      TTTH: 6.25%
      TTTT: 6.25%
      Each combination has an equal probability of 6.25% because there are 16 possible outcomes (2^4) and each outcome is equally likely.
      Therefore 25% for 3 head and 6.25% for 4 head, totaling to 31.25% for zapdos to kill mewtwo in 1 shot

    I've played all the meta decks except for Mewtwo because I never got two of them. I eventually did, played this deck and it just felt like a worse Charizard ex deck (crazy since mewtwo still top tier and fire decks "fell off"). I much prefer powering up a Charizard line with Moltres ex, and Charizard hitting for 200 seems like more relevant in this MI meta with gyrados ex, pigeons ex, Charizard ex, blastoise ex, egg ex ,so on.
    But I'm glad you made this because everyone seems used to playing against this deck and knows how to counter play, but you provided strategies on how to deal with those threats by hitting them before they can hit mewtwo. Still I don't think this deck is what it was back in GA.

    • @UndeadP6Ke

    I have been playing Duel Links since it was released all those years a go. I no longer have enough time to invest in the game anymore or cash.
    That's where Pokémon Pocket came in. I find it much more passive with easy to farm events and it's much more casual than anything in the Yugioh catalogue and I have decided to commit what little spare time I have to Ptcgp instead of Duel Links.
    Now, the undeadsputed king of DL RUclips has a Ptcgp channel.

    @9:52 it is wrong to slab first then prof Oak second.
    If you're looking for psychic pokemon, the slab/Oak order doesn't matter because as long as the psychic is within next 3 cards, both orders will get what you're looking for. If the psychic pokemon is not within the top three cards, then neither order increases the likelihood of drawing it.
    It is generally better to Oak first since it opens up more options after drawing 2 cards.
    also @12:26, the probability of Zapdos Ex flipping at least 3 heads killing mewtwo is about 31% not 40%.

    • @UndeadP6Ke
      @UndeadP6Ke  23 дня назад

      If the top 3 cards of the deck don't contain a psychic pokemon, then thats fine, but you dont know for sure. Slabbing with a lower density of psychics in deck is obviously worse and youre running that risk.
      Zapdos has 5 outcomes, all as likely as each other, that means all outcomes at 20% as likely to happen as each other. 2 outcomes lead to knocking out mewtwo, so 40% is the chance. I don't know where you made up that 31%. -Undead

    • @protoslashwyl
      @protoslashwyl 23 дня назад

      @@UndeadP6Ke whether you Oak or Slab first, it literally does not change what the 4th card of the deck nor make you draw it quicker.
      no one made up 31%, it's called binominal distribution. It's not 40% because all 5 outcomes are not equally likely to happen at 20%. By your logic, if it's 40% to flip 3 or more heads, then it should be 40% to flip 1 or less heads, so the chance of 2 heads should be 20%?

    • @UndeadP6Ke
      @UndeadP6Ke  23 дня назад

    • @protoslashwyl
      @protoslashwyl 23 дня назад +1

      @@UndeadP6Kethe best example to oak first is that it can get you pokeball which could change how you slab and actually increase the chance of getting what you need. You can't do that if slab first

    • @UndeadP6Ke
      @UndeadP6Ke  23 дня назад

      @protoslashwyl that's one possibility out of many, when weighing all possibilities together, you doing that is taking a chance on a good outcome or a bad outcome or an even outcome, stabbing first gives you guaranteed value -undead
