My thirty-year (so far!) journey with guinea pigs also began with a third-grade classroom piggie! I started reading up on them (and I brought him veggies every morning with the permission of the teacher) and begged my parents and a year later, I had my first piggie!

Can't wait to go to Peru and eat a Guinea pig. On a more serious note, I'm sure real pigs taste better though. Also, beef has the highest nutritional content of any food, including all vegetables. In addition to that, Cows, pigs and chickens normally consume plant matter not edible for humans and turn it into highly nutritional meat, that is more calorie dense and a good product.

Stating that guinea pigs no longer exist in the wild is wrong. C. porcellus is not found naturally in the wild; it is likely descended from closely related species of cavies, such as C. aperea, C. fulgida, and C. tschudii, which are still commonly found in various regions of South America. Look up wild guinea pigs on RUclips and you will find several videos. They are the same color as rats and mice and look like slimmer versions of the ones we keep for pets currently. I appreciate that you love and care for guinea pigs as do I, but please make sure your information is correct.

This was the most educational video I ever seen today Scotty keep up the good work and as for guinea pig history of how I'm fall in love with those little buggers just like you it was in school a teacher of mine had a pet guinea pig I just thought he was the cutest little thing ever I kept bugging my mom for guinea pig up until the point she gave in and well we didn't know what the time we needed two guinea pigs so one didn't get lonely sadly I only had one guinea pig up until 6 years ago my last two were brothers furball and cuddles

I don't think the animal with Queen Elizabeth at 4:36 is a GP. It looks more like a ferret with the tail hidden.
