Just to answer the TURBAN POINT or attempt to. The turban represents HONOUR (in all cultures actually who wear it), IDENTITY (to the Sikhs as explained why in the video ie. recognition unhidden), and represents the FAITH (to the Sikh). Also the turban was known to have a noble quality to it as it represents one's honour, in the Mughal times of India and Guru Gobind Singh, it was forbidden for anyone other than a Muslim to wear it, so in all rebellion the Guru ordered that his Sikhs would wear the 'Dharmalla' (Double layered Turban ie. wearing double Honour). The Turban is worn as such like part of the Sikh's/Khalsa's uniform, it teaches a person to keep and maintain their honour in their conduct, such is the high intellect to be kept by Sikhs hence restraint from dishonourable acts is high on the agenda for Sikhs. Also in the Guru Granth Sahib (Holy scripture of the Sikh) a person who keeps their hair and keeps their turban is of full appearance (this can be translated as spirtual or honourable being). Anyway that was an attempt to explain what the turban is.
Basic philosophy of Sanatana Dharma ( or Hinduism ), Sikhism , buddhism , Jainism is almost same. .Because of the origin place of these religions is one ,ANCIENT INDIA.🙏🙏🙏💝💝💝From Assam ,INDIA
people are writing in the comments" I am a Hindu , but i respect Sikhism " we both come from the same dharmic duties we are like real brothers , no need to add that "but" please people. its our duty to respect all Indian dharmic treditions , thats what our ancestor say. don't look at Hindus and Sikhs differently , Hindus , Sikhs , Jains and Buddhists all come from the same Sanatana Dharma which is way too deep and complex to understand , don't confine these four WAYS OF LIFE to the boundary of religion , they are way more than that.
@Swedish Meatball yes correct, but what the underlying meaning is that sikhi is nothing but Hinduism .... That's what it means when they say that....and now it's becoming that if you Sikhs don't agree to our interpretations of sikhi....then you are a traitor as you are denying our interpretation and you are 'Macauliff sikhs' lol and not Guru ka sikh Also this 'we are one and the same' jargon was buried in the sand when they used to make fun of sardars .... For nearly 30 years and still going Sikhi, eh, just a tiny branch of the grat great tree lol
Thank you for the reaction, I hate to be 'that guy' but Im gonna point out the main mispronounciations in this video. Sikhi is the name of the religion and Sikhism is the western term for the religion, you were right that its Sikh as in sick not seek. Guru nanak is pronounced Geroo Narnuk. Waheguru is pronounced Wah Hey Ger Roo. Haumai is pronounced more like Hor May. Panj Pyare is Punge Py-Aaray (with the y pronounced as it is in you not as in pyre) The As in Khalsa and Amrit rhyme with car not hat. The comb is a Khanga not a Kharga. Kacchera is pronounced Kash air ah. Kara is car-ah. Sahib is Sar-hib not Sa-heeb. Kirtan is Keer-tun. Everyone gets pronounciation wrong when learning about Sikhi so dont worry about it too much but these are just some references so you can understand how the language sounds a little better. I really enjoyed your thoughts at the end of the video, I also feel we have a lot in common between Christianity and Sikhi, along with the saints I see that both Guru Nanak and Jesus Christ had ways of breaking down the cultural mistakes of their time and bringing people back too a clear, loving devotion to God. Sikhi teaches us to revere all saints including those of all other religions. Chaar Sahibzaade is a film about Guru Gobind Singh which last I checked was on netflix with subtitles, the animation is dated but its an enjoyable film and also has a sequel which I myself am yet to see. There are many great stories of Sikhs and our Gurus throughout history for you to enjoy and draw inspiration from including the battle of Saragarhi, the battle of chamkaur followed by the letter Zafarnama, the death of Guru Arjan, and many more, I also highly recommend the movie 'Sajjan Singh Rangroot' which is a WW1 film about the Sikhs in the Indian-British army, a reaction to the trailer if you havent done it already would be great to see. God be with you and Sat Sri Akaal from the UK
1) Sri Guru Granth Sahib is the only Book which contains verses by people from both Hindu and Muslim Origin. 2) Guru Sahibs started the concept of Langar where people from all religion and castes can sit together and eat. 3) Guru Gobind Singh fought 41 battles with Moughals who wanted to convert people from India to Islam and won all of them. Despite of the differences, Guru Sahib's Sikh used to give water and used to help injured soldiers, even of the opposite army on command of Guru ji. The kind of love they spread is incomparable.
there are movies but instead of movies i would highly suggest you to search on youtube for "Life of Guru Gobind Singh Ji" posted by a channel named 'Gurinder Singh". the reason i say not go for movies coz in sikhism you dont have movies for gurus there is animation videos but thats it. it is considered to be a disrespect to act as a guru in sikhism, so there can only be still animation picture of guru you cant portray it other-way.
Sikhism, Buddhism, Jainism and Hinduism are bundled together know as Dharmik religions just like Christianity, Islam and Judaism are bundled together as Abrahamic religions.
Hinduism(Sanatam Dahram) is not an organized religion Hence, Me personally consider myself, A Sikh, Buddhist, A Jain... I love sitting in any of their temples.
I think you you retained better because it is shorter than the hindu video ..and its basic things are similar so repetition made it a bit easier..i am a hindu by birth but i always keep guru Nanak's pic in my wallet and follow his preaching too .. I think its the time the whole world must worship mother nature ..plant trees conserve our nature ...
Something he got wrong in the video because lack of information were 1: GURU NANAK DEV Ji were already enlightened though they did submerge and weren't found for day in the river but that was not how they got enlightened 2: seva can be inside or outside the community like feeding the poor taking care of the sick etc. 3: GURU ARJAN DEV JI was not only made to sit on an iron plate but were also boiled in water for a day and kept hungry 4: GURU TEG BAHADUR JI didnt just give his head to protect the religious rights of Hindus but to protect the weak as he was called "JAG GURU " which means guru of the whole world and to demolish the ego of the mughal emperor aurangzeb 5: GURU TEG BAHADUR JI'S body was NOT abandoned his holy head was taken to GURU GOBIND SINGH JI by BHAI JAITA JI a d his holy body was cremated by his sikh follower BHAI LAKHI SHAH VANJARA who put GURU SAHIBS body inside his home a d then set his house on fire this whole was done when GURU SAHIB ere beheaded a strong gust of wind came a d they BHAI JAITA JI AND BHAI LAKHI SHAH VANJARA took MAHARAJ body 5: Sikhi offeres proper equality to women 6:GURU SAHIB didn't believe as hindu idol god vishnu or any other as god but people sent by god to tell people to worship one but failed to do and them and other religious leaders chanted their own name that is why GURU SAHIB was sent to teach all the name , glory, and mystery of god. 7: GURU SAHIB MADE KHALSA not only to stand out but to discipline the sikhs , give them a distinct identity nobody has ever got , make the look like the GURU etc. NOTE: PLEASE DONT WATCH CHAAR SAHIBZAADE IT IS A VERY UNDERMADE FILM ON THE UNEXPLAINABLE AND THE BIIGEST SACRIFICE ON EARTH .IF YOU STILL WANT TO KNOW MORE YOU CAN ASK ME ILL TELL YOU ABOUT LEGIT SOURCES SINCE THERE ARE MANY TAPERED SOURCES OUT THERE TO MISLEAD YOU.

Waheguru ji da Khalsa Waheguru ji di Fateh 🙏 Best part of all this Sikhism is the "core" of Sanatana parampara itself. All indic Dharmas are part of the Sanatan Parampara which was basic Dutifulness and Righteousness and "Oneness in All" concept, which by the way is scientifically true, time tested and proven as well. Shri Guru Nanak Dev ji took stance to defend Sanatana Dharma and the entire line of our Veer Gurus succeeded in doing so. I am just enraged it cost them their lives to "defend" Dharma whereas in the Bhagavad Gita it clearly follows Shri Guru Gobind Singh ji's teaching of Defending with weapon against oppressors. One MUST follow Dharma at all costs. That itself is an elixir of Life and way (marga) for achieving Oneness with the Universe. Jai Shri Ram Jai Anjaneya 🙏 Bharat Maata ki Jai !
Nick and Chris, it’s important to know that the Sikh gurus were Hindus, the Khalsa was formed to fight the atrocities of the Muslim invaders, who were converting Hindus to accept Islam. Lot of Hindu families gave their eldest son to the cause of Khalsa.
@@Gurwinder_Singh171 lol dude, even the name gobind is literally name of lord Krishna govind, Sikhs are basically Hindus and rest are same om kar is same, guru is always higher than god infact god is the guru and vise versa, the language, traditions and everything came from sanathana dharma. by watching some videos which tries to differentiate Sikhs from Hinduism is like separating it from it's parents.
@Swedish Meatball ok Pakistani with fake account. Santhan means "eternal " which means there is no beginning and end to it, and that is Hinduism. Islam is just 1500 years old, even the steps of nearby temple in India is older than that. And yeah Hinduism is that's why beautiful because, it doesn't have a founder and it is not a begging organization where people will beg and force others to convert so that they doesn't feel dumb lefted alone. And Hinduism is not a religion true because it is a culture, that's why we have diversity, we don't need to remove skin inside pants and roam without mustache looking like a terrorist. And we can pray anywhere and anything and we don't need particular day to visit temple we can go anyday. And for us it's a spiritual place, where as for you it's a brainwashing center. And there are too many things that we have that we are proud of Hindus and sikhism is a very recent religion and everyone knows how it became, you Islamic Islamic chutiyas stop teaching fake sikhism, everyone knows you people are good for nothing. Trust me people like you suffer a lot here in this life and later in hell, but never you people is gonna get that heavenly place for such 3rd grade activities.

Also in the Guru Granth Sahib (Holy scripture of the Sikh) a person who keeps their hair and keeps their turban is of full appearance (this can be translated as spirtual or honourable being). Anyway that was an attempt to explain what the turban is.
Basic philosophy of Sanatana Dharma ( or Hinduism ), Sikhism , buddhism , Jainism is almost same. .Because of the origin place of these religions is one ,ANCIENT INDIA.🙏🙏🙏💝💝💝From Assam ,INDIA

people are writing in the comments" I am a Hindu , but i respect Sikhism "
we both come from the same dharmic duties
we are like real brothers , no need to add that "but" please people.
its our duty to respect all Indian dharmic treditions , thats what our ancestor say.
don't look at Hindus and Sikhs differently , Hindus , Sikhs , Jains and Buddhists all come from the same Sanatana Dharma which is way too deep and complex to understand , don't confine these four WAYS OF LIFE to the boundary of religion , they are way more than that.
@Swedish Meatball yes correct, but what the underlying meaning is that sikhi is nothing but Hinduism .... That's what it means when they say that....and now it's becoming that if you Sikhs don't agree to our interpretations of sikhi....then you are a traitor as you are denying our interpretation and you are 'Macauliff sikhs' lol and not Guru ka sikh
Also this 'we are one and the same' jargon was buried in the sand when they used to make fun of sardars .... For nearly 30 years and still going
Sikhi, eh, just a tiny branch of the grat great tree lol
Sikhism.has nothing to do with hinduism
You should read about Parshuram
God be with you and Sat Sri Akaal from the UK
dear bro langar for all that is the world best food wlcome to india

No
Pls react to the movie chaar sahibzadee
Why?
MIRZAPUR PLZZZZZZZZZZ 🙏🙏🙏
It’s coming. We have so many videos that we’re excited to put out.
You should watch chaarsahibzaade movie

Some religions use Human sacrifices and Animal sacrifices to please GOD.......Sikhs call these rituals satanic and oppose them.
Something he got wrong in the video because lack of information were
1: GURU NANAK DEV Ji were already enlightened though they did submerge and weren't found for day in the river but that was not how they got enlightened
2: seva can be inside or outside the community like feeding the poor taking care of the sick etc.
3: GURU ARJAN DEV JI was not only made to sit on an iron plate but were also boiled in water for a day and kept hungry
4: GURU TEG BAHADUR JI didnt just give his head to protect the religious rights of Hindus but to protect the weak as he was called "JAG GURU " which means guru of the whole world and to demolish the ego of the mughal emperor aurangzeb
5: GURU TEG BAHADUR JI'S body was NOT abandoned his holy head was taken to GURU GOBIND SINGH JI by BHAI JAITA JI a d his holy body was cremated by his sikh follower BHAI LAKHI SHAH VANJARA who put GURU SAHIBS body inside his home a d then set his house on fire this whole was done when GURU SAHIB ere beheaded a strong gust of wind came a d they BHAI JAITA JI AND BHAI LAKHI SHAH VANJARA took MAHARAJ body
5: Sikhi offeres proper equality to women
6:GURU SAHIB didn't believe as hindu idol god vishnu or any other as god but people sent by god to tell people to worship one but failed to do and them and other religious leaders chanted their own name that is why GURU SAHIB was sent to teach all the name , glory, and mystery of god.
Pls 1 video sikh Indian farmers protest
Cricketer Shoaib akhtar bowling
Whatever God give must be respected as a gift of God and Guru said that hair are gift and must not be cut and to respect this gift turban is tied to conserve them in proper way. Sikh believe god is everywhere and in everyone and their everyone is equal man woman black white I mean everyone
Yes it is pronounced as Sikhism not seekhism

Hinduism is very complex ... and very confusing. That video just touched the surface and just showcases how complex it is. So it’s not u .. it’s just complicated.
The real word is SIKHI
Sikhism is influenced by bhakti movement which was actually started in southern India and Krishna bhakti was the main part of it
yup it guess happened when Guru Nanak said there is No Hindu and No Muslims
Bhakti movement was trending then.. u are right
@Paldeep Singh gurunanak simply quoted Vedas and in many place gave reference to Vishnu. Even the nihang warriors pray Kaali and Shiva before using weapons as they learnt martial arts from our scriptures...
@@raziackzing He never said that plz correct urself kid
@@rahulnamboori5540 please correct yourself on this. I listened and read on this not once.. there is no Hindu and there is no Muslim. When he emerge back after went missing in the river.. who are you trying to cheat, kid.

React on "the Muslim spoken word "
Jai Shri Ram Jai Anjaneya 🙏
Bharat Maata ki Jai !
OM=EK OM kar Sat Sri Akaal.
Nick and Chris, it’s important to know that the Sikh gurus were Hindus, the Khalsa was formed to fight the atrocities of the Muslim invaders, who were converting Hindus to accept Islam. Lot of Hindu families gave their eldest son to the cause of Khalsa.
Sikhism's Dharma is to protect Indian culture and civilization
lol.....WORNG....
@@unknownhuman7919 leave em. They didn't watch the video properly. Perhaps too busy reading comments.
Sikhs are part of the Sanatan tradition that Hindus are. But as defenders of the culture, they wear a kada on their wrist and carry a kirpan (sword).
We are not part of any tradition, We belong directly to Creator,,
@@Gurwinder_Singh171 lol dude, even the name gobind is literally name of lord Krishna govind, Sikhs are basically Hindus and rest are same om kar is same, guru is always higher than god infact god is the guru and vise versa, the language, traditions and everything came from sanathana dharma. by watching some videos which tries to differentiate Sikhs from Hinduism is like separating it from it's parents.
