I'm an old musician, rarely impressed by good singers. This young woman has such an engaging ear; I'm envious of those who will be around thirty years from now to hear how much she's improved. Please mind the pitfalls, lassie.
For sure she is a diamond in the rough. I too hope she can avoid the dangers of a young woman in the music business. I understand her dad manages her affairs. At some point she need to graduate from YT.

In a band with her 3 brothers for years. Sadly they all gone now with my mam the last to pass 3mths ago.She was 86 and played for her brothers funeral 3mths earlier . She was brilliant .
I’m 66 years of age. I like to think I have a broad range of music. But I truly like proper singers. Singers who can sing live , not produced in a studio(you know what I mean - anyone can be manufactured). This young woman however has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard, she is a talent beyond doubt.

It's still one of my favorites but Now with you singing it it has come to the top 10 performances ever. Ya made me cry. Your response implies that everyone should like this style of music. It's not for everybody. To think that everyone walking by should have stopped and listened is utter nonsense. Let me ask you out of all the music you've heard in your lifetime, how many songs do you actually like. My guess is that it is about 1/100th of one percent. Which is one in 10,000. I could go a full day of listening to the radio and not here a song I like. She may have musical talent but to think that we should all like it is nonsense.

It's so nice to see a young woman playing an instrument and singing without auto tune.
One thing that astonishes me about this video is all of the people walking by in the background. How can you just keep walking when this angelic voice is belting out such an amazing song. I don't care where I was going or what I was doing, if I was walking by there at this moment I would have stopped. Truly beautiful and genuine moments in life like this are few and far between. They should be appreciated and taken in to cherish for a lifetime.

@@musicalman1995 Imo, a big part of what makes Allie unique is her ability to make "flawed" singing sound beautiful to so many people. Her raw voice is so good that people will eat up whatever noises she wants to make. I think she would be less popular if she had a mainstream singing style.... She often walks a dangerously fine line between amazing and awful, to my ears she's usually amazing.

That voice + that smile = Happiness
One of the main reasons I’d like to return to Dublin is Allie . I’m 74 but to listen to that beautiful voice would make it all worthwhile . Another reason is that I have a granddaughter a couple of years younger who is almost her spitting image .

I remember seeing the Bee Gees perform only once, back in 1967, before "I Started a Joke" was even written. And before they invented Disco. This song essentially tells the story of my life, and how things will be so much better after I'm gone in 2023. I'm sad that Robin Gibb is gone. He was a great singer and fine writer. RIP Robin and Maurice.
