Kazakhstan singer Dimash Kanatovich Kudaibergenov was born on May 24, 1994 in Aktobe into a family of vocal performers - Kanat and Svetlana Aitbaev, honored cultural workers of the Republic of Kazakhstan.Dimash is the oldest of three children in the family.
At the age of five, while studying at a music studio in the class of piano and vocals, Dimash sang for the first time on the stage of a music college. A year later, the little singer became the laureate of the Republican contest “Ainalayyn” in the category “Piano”. From childhood, Dimash felt confident on stage and at the age of ten was already a host at various regional events.At the 2010 Baikonur Voiced Voices International Festival, Dimash Kudaibergenov received the first prize. Two years later, the singer was awarded the Grand Prix of the Republican contest of young performers "Zhas Kanat". In the same year, 2012, Dimash was awarded the diploma of the first prize winner of the International Television Competition for Variety Performers "Oriental Bazaar", and in 2013 - victory at the first international festival of young performers "Makein Asia".
At the end of the College of Music. A. Zhubanova (Aktobe) in 2014, where Dimash studied academic singing, he entered the Kazakh National University of Arts at the Faculty of Variety Arts.
The Grand Prix of the 24th International Pop Song Performers Contest “Slavic Bazaar 2015” in Vitebsk became a major success for the young artist. In addition, Dimash was awarded a cash prize of twenty thousand dollars. Kudaibergenov then sang Konstantin Meladze's song Again Snowstorm.

They criticized his technique of switching voices and as they called out his "squeaky" voice. Dimash remained faithful to his dream and squeaks and that is what made him famous. You taught them a lesson Dimash..they must be ashamed to know that this video is around.
Well, let's just say he's made quite a bit of progress in transitions between voices since that competition. And he's still getting better. In his performance, it seems as if there is nothing more common in the world than to sing as he sings.

I think i agree with the judges, what they do they just correct dimash, they know that dimash's voice is way beyond their reach, they try to show to dimash what part of him he has to correct, and dimash try to improve it until then and now he is the master vocal that voice reach to the people's heart. I saw one of the judge who critized this song also critized when Dimash sang “Don’t blame me” with his new arrangement. She must have felt shame when she watched this and that videos again. Same to other judges who critized Dimash. I am only the normal people, no background in music but when I listened to Dimash’s song that my friend sent me, I felt his talent right away although at that time I didn’t know anything about him yet. These judges must be good at their field, well trained to sit there but why they couldn’t realize his talent? They should not be judges anymore because they may destroy talents of their country.
DIMASH FOUND his vocal style, way of dress, hairstyle and his performance style from these narrow- minded judges petty criticisms, so in an odd way their criticisms actually motivated DIMASH to continue in his own personal style and become the WORLD-WIDE PHENOM that he is today. I bet for many of these judges, they are feeling pretty “ off the mark”, by a thousand miles, right about now. Thank you to the two judges that stood up for him. : D I don't think so. According to the comments, it is clear that they were aware that they had extraordinary talent in front of them. They even compared him to Vitas. And they were basically right. If he wanted to show his voice, he couldn't stay with the classic Eastern pop. Just as he couldn't just stay at the opera. And it's good for all of us that he found his own way, where he combines it all into an absolutely fantastic whole.
Klara Cihlarova yes they mentioned Vitas repeatedly but it wasn’t a compliment. They were holding up Vitas as the one who can sing both high and low. They were not comparing Dimash to Vitas. At least that is what I got out of it. Still I’m sure he learned things from this so, as we all know, things worked out for Dimash. Lucky for us they did and he continued to perfect his music. Somewhere he said he will continue to study and practice every day. I sometimes think that he can’t really improve on the perfection of his voice and then he comes out with something even more shockingly perfect. Although my favorite will always be the 2017 SOS.

Judges were much more reasonable than the comments make them seem. When the judge said to “contain your data” she simply meant not to spill all your techniques out at the same time. As a showpiece, definitely do so! But the judge’s thought process is that a little bit more subtlety will make the highs more sweet. Ironically, however, this is probably the most subtle he’s ever sung, haha. And yet his other songs sound more than fine! The judge was giving common sense advice for a regular musician. The problem is they didn’t know that they weren’t dealing with a regular musician. We have the power of hindsight, so it’s not fair for us to judge them for this.

Those were very rude remarks from judges. I bet these judges studied music and trained not as early as Dimash. It seem their minds to explore the beauty of music to relate to people especially the millennials are shut off. They forgot music is a universal language to reach peoples’ mind, heart and soul. In situations like this you can see how Dimash was properly raised by his grandparents and parents by keeping his respect in spite of the criticisms. From me to the judges eat your heart out, this sweet lad is a world phenomenon now with a unique kind of music that has taken the hearts of everybody shield with an army of fans worldwide.

He looked so different back then, I remember not dressing very stylishly either, the , boy did that change. Yelling at him for putting the mic under his chin and touching his hair when he was 17. We did weird things back then. I am glad he did not become discouraged. Well, he practiced and he sure won enough awards. He had to give some to smaller kids in the US later. That was awkward. Anyway, he got a lot better. he does have that extra something a lot of singers don't have. He was so nervous he said. I think he was rubbing his poor throat with the mic. They made him nervous so it hurt

I think his performance was a 100 on a scale of 1 to 10 but he couldn't sing a bad note if he tried he has the voice of an ANGELand I didn't really like the song too much but that's because I'm not into POLKAS and anything played with an accordion. Judges : 1) It was possible to do without a mixed range 2) high is not necessary & why do you climb up , don't need to do this at all 3) I'm afraid of singers like you 4) I don't like the song 5) I can't understand the vocals 6) You stuck all your data in one song

That lady judgeis low-key jealous that Dimash can sing higher than her and using mix voice is upto Dimash she cannot give opinion in that sense if it can be done without using mix range and it strains your voice then why force it injuring yourself and that note was high af how can a male hit it in chest like whaaat

Hello everyone. This jury doesn't mean anything at all not because are very negative of his style but because they had different expectations from him. They know exactly what and how he is able to perform just at that point jury is very emotionally charged with him. They see where he is now. At the top worldwide singers list!!!

Dimash said that he was told to sing with all his flourishes before the filming started in his interview. Then, he got criticized for exactly what he was told to do. 🤦♀️

We literally had a whole ass lecture about constructive criticism. It means you have criticism should be beneficial and very respectful to the person. Literally it should be something that help the person and not to demotivate or disrespect. But they were literally disrespecting him, making fun of him. They call themselves judges wtf. Dimash took it very maturely though.

La canción es un temazo.....ese jurado cuando vieron el pedazo de talento que tenían delante se cagaron, y los muy envidiosos lo humillaron.....ahora se les debería caer la cara de vergüenza.
