My small town does an annual drag show fundraiser. One year our theme was " She-Haw: the Night of a Thousand Dollys". They encouraged as many people to dress as Dolly as possible. The finale was Dolly vs. Whitney.
This is the best recap show by a country mile. Thorgy is just a brilliant brilliant commentator. Like so good. Very smart.
And FUNNY. The two legendary things to come out of the recaps this season so far are Kennedy's black stockings and white shoes shouldn't be worn in the church, and Thorgy's wild ass monologue about how it's good to laugh at a clown that smells bad 😄

Agree 100%. It's disappointing that some Ru girls and fans think they "take it too far." They never say anything malicious. It's all from a respectful perspective as a fan of the show and a viewer of reality television. We know this show doesn't reflect all their talent!! We are just critiquing their performance on a reality game show!

Kyle's Dolly Parton was truly amazing. Yes, it was helped by the fact that she's shown tremendous growth, but she has Dolly's mannerisms down to a T. She even did a little blink that Dolly does after she says certain things as well as a certain little head movement. She's obviously a real fan or did TREMENDOUS homework (or, likely, both!)
My favourite part was when she did percussion with her nails by brushing them together which is something Dolly does when she writes songs

The "I'm not good at it" thing was a huge thing for Trinity in her season; she'd get in her head and psych herself out and then seem like she didn't care even though it felt very, very evident that she cared a ton. Bianca got super frustrated with it and I think at some point Ru did too.
I've been waiting ages to see her back for All-Stars & it's so wonderful (and legit inspiring) to see how she's grown around it. Seeing it pop back up this episode was almost reassuring-you just keep doing the best you can with the stuff you struggle with. Love Thorgy noticing TKB's sweet heart (she really must be wonderful to be friends with) & the consensus recognition here that she's crushing this season.

In comparison to season 6, this version of it made it feel a bit more endearing in comparison. While she did kinda resign herself to failure bc she knew she would struggle, she did it while owning up to the fact that she simply wasn’t going to excel at it because it’s outside of her skill set, which is refreshing to see compared to how many queens fail a challenge and still desperately try to sell a fantasy of doing well. Her growth from season 6 is the best bc she’s still flawed yet overcome so many of her personal demons and become such an open, interesting, endearing person.
And I love that while she was in hot water in the past with the fandom for transphobia, she has visibly educated and moved on from that, to not only voice that black trans lives matter, but to embrace competitors like Kylie and support them in the competition. In a way, I don’t actually care if Trinity wins this season, bc her growth and redemption have made her the biggest winner for all of us. As much as ppl loved her on S6, she was kind of a niche popular queen then, and now she’s like one of the biggest fan favourites of ANY season. She’s leaving this season as this season’s Katya, or BenDeLaCreme, or Shangela, or Manila, whether she wins it all or not. She’s the new moment.

To me Eureka was a solid 3rd place, but her Divine would be better on the classic Snatch Game format

I love Eureka and I love Divine. The thing I didn't like about Eureka doing Divine was that it felt like she was saying things Divine has said, but not at the appropriate times. It's not as funny to just quote lines if it has nothing to do with the questions that you're asked.
I agree I think Eureka was a solid 3 and actually I got a little bit frustrated with Pandora because she was acting as if Eureka was being problematic and stepping on her toes. Actually I don't think Trinity was worse I think Pandora was. She didn't even look, sound or dress like her. And actually that's quite an easy character to portray.
@@AndyWarholsWig I think that's why it would have been much better for her to be in the regular snatch game format. She was very limited and didn't have anyone to really play off of.

Personally, I loved her snatch game look more than the actual performance. Ru's laugh the entire time was very forced and during Rajah's turn, it was all the more obvious. At least she made me chuckle though, but I think it wasn't as good as people are making it out to be--it was nowhere near Ginger nor Kylie. Love Rajah but cant deny that fans have been overhyping her performances at times due to certain spoilers.

Ginger deserved the win, but Kylie fully got her redemption and was a deserving 2nd (and she got the AHS win even though she struggled so much).

Snatch game of love is like way more difficult, theres nowhere to hide and less people to work off of so it makes sense for all stars since they're expected to be on a higher level. I also understand them wanting to make it unique from the main series but... it's also less fun to watch sooooo :/
This duo is EVERYTHING. They make Drag Race, which we are arguably over-saturated with at this point, fun again! :P

@@jellyanpu5661very weird practices that should not be made with psychotherapy. i recommend watchint mickey atkins critic of betterhelp to really get a good grasp of the situation but there is a lot of problems with the formula in and of itself and the company selling client data to other companies which goes against the supposed confidentiality that therapy should come with 100% of the time.
The runway could really have used a broader set of references, but there was a solid Lichtenstein element to Trinity's runway (the makeup!, the outlined sketchy effect of the print of her dress), & a little in Pandora's too (the cartoon elements, word bubbles). [she says, without waiting for Bob to get there first]
I was kinda upset more people didn’t do Lichtenstein. Or mix it up and do Yayoi Kusama and come out as one of her sculptures. Idk if I’d say Basquiat was necessarily “pop art” tho since the only pop art he is known for is his collab w/ Warhol. But I’m not an artist, so I could be wrong about Basquiat. 🤷🏻♀️
@@charlielew2933 You're not wrong about Basquiat. If someone had truly referenced him, I think the judges would have been like, "what is this?". He made art in a time when pop art was at its height, but he wasn't a pop artist. As a Warhol fan, I was desperate for someone to do something besides repeated faces. He did so much more than that. The call out to do a Haring was brilliant, though.
@@AndyWarholsWig Yeah! Like, there’s so many obvious references w/o repeated faces. Someone could have done a soup can or a coke bottle as a purse or a fascinator! And Pandora missed a perfect opportunity to have her box say “Brillo” instead of “Boxx”. But I still liked it the way it was.
I think many of them are afraid of being too obscure (not that Lichtenstein is obscure). On the runway, the judges need to instantly get the concept. Kylie, for example, referenced some obscure Warhol concept, but it did not work because it did not instantly read as pop art to the broader audience.

Drag Queens do it all the time. I mean does that one line really dimish all the work she has done for the trans community? I dont think so. @@JDoradoTube to your point, Ra'jah, A'keria, and Silky are S11 sisters. TKB even said at the beginning of the season she didn't make too many friends from her season and through AS6, she's grown closer to the S11 girls. So I could see her being a little two face and annoying them. Granted, it's reality TV. We may never get the true story.
I agree with Thorgy about TBK she should at least try at the Snatch game and comedy challenges rather than the preemptive I’m no good at this it makes her look lazy and can’t be bothered and taints her amazing runway looks that she’s over reliant on to make up for it. If she wins the season continuing in this way it would look like riggory that she’s in on and that would be a shame.
