- Electric Works in Fort Wayne opened up yesterday (as of this post) and it blew my socks off!
However, it is opening in parts and, at this point, only Union Streek Market is open. So come along with me as we discuss everything electric works from the look to the food and the drinks. Where to park, where to walk afterward and what this historic and incredible new venue has to offer!
I hope you're ready, i hope you're excited! Let's go!

Thanks for this video. I started work at GE right after South Side High School in 1968. The apprenticeship there kept me out of Vietnam. ( educational ).
I think that Fort Wayne is a city that saved itself on more than one occasion. In the flood of 1982 and shortly after that when International Harvester left town and General Electric started making big cuts to employment. The Midwest is cluttered with dying and decay in the rust belt but things here are very much alive. I`m excited about the old GE complex being "reimagined".
IT'S SUPER COOL. and there are tons of new shops and restaurants slated to come in soon also.
Grateful our city is investing in the future.
That looks cool. They have something similar here in Detroit but not as good.
Thanks for showing this. I live pretty close to Ft Wayne so I will definitely put this place on my to do list. Looks fun
Definitely! Go check it out!
Looks like fun! A lot of space!
Way to go Ft. Wayne, This looks amazing.
I love seeing the new stuff that’s happening here in a city that hasn’t usually done innovative things.
Just went here today! It was awesome!
I'm hoping for a packed house this weekend!
Yes I drove by electric works 2 nights ago on our way to look at broadway Christmas tree and it looks pretty fun. Might go this summer of course. Getting ready for work at Amazon! Happy Thanksgiving 🍁
Happy thanksgiving!
Why does Fort Wayne get cool once we move an hour away lol great video ! We love your personality so will watch anything you put out. Happy thanksgiving!
An hour isn't far! Come hang out sometime! :)
I love having you guys watching! Thanks for your views and comments! :)
@@notyournormalg1 we have a 16 month old that does not like riding in the car lol hopefully by summer we will be up to brave the trip 🤪
:) that makes total sense. :) come back in a couple years and then the whole town'll be booming!
Hi what is another big project going on in fort Wayne great video
DOES ELECTRIC WORKS LOOK FUN TO YOU? (SOUND OFF BELOW)
I'm so happy with what they've done with it so far
Absolutely!
Me getting ready to go to work in Fort Wayne and saw this video 😅
Reading Terminal is the only place I can find cheese curds, guess it’s even 😅
I've always joked that Fort Wayne feels more like a crowded midwestern town than an actual city. Glad there's finally some good growth happening here.
Absolutely. Things are changing massively. It still has that small town feel in a bigger city though. I suppose that’s what makes Fort Wayne unique.
This place looks really cool! Wish we had a large indoor place like this in Portland, OR - we do, just a lot smaller. Will you be vlogging Winter Chillout this year?
Not sure! I’d love to go, but I never am able
To get tickets for it. Especially because I’m teaching when they go on sale.
Once there’s more life at Electric Works, maybe Fort Wayne can work on a frequent bus network
The rust belt will be one of the best places to live global warming-wise in a few decades, so Fort Wayne should be a city to keep an eye on
“Here at Fort Wayne” would indicate an event at titular fort-which I doubt still exists
Oddly enough, there’s a replica, built for the US Bicentennial, near the original site!
