Paul Sapiera is arguably The Greatest Filipino Rock Musician that ever lived. But the world doesn't know it. He can do covers of Metalica, Bon Jovi, Journey, Nirvana, Beatles, Dokken, Eagles, Whitesnake, Bryan Adams....etc etc...almost any Rock band and perform it on par or even better than some of those artists. He was a big star in the Philippines during the 90s. Since then he has been based in Hong Kong playing in Rock clubs for many years. He is a true legend. His level of expression, virtuosity, versatility and over-all musicality is world class. He may be the most talented rock musician in Asia. There's a reason why his band was named Rockstar by the record company. He truly is one. That band has long been inactive. But Paul Sapiera's legend lives on.

@Ding Dong i know how you feel. Sucks doesn't it? But that's just the way it is dude. Well ....no regrets for Paul. He may be out of the limelight today but he will always have a solid and loyal following. His music lives on. People that like that era never forget someone like Paul. He has done enough to earn his legendary status. It's just great that we finally see him interacting with his fans . We haven't heard much from him for many years. Just some live videos from his Bar performances. It's great to see him active in his RUclips page. He will never be forgotten.

So he need to act now and ride the waves because these no live concerts worldwide, so he won’t get to tour , that said he needs to take the internet by storm , good marketing strategies will help

I was 16 yrs old when this music became famous lol. The last time I saw him 16 yrs ago when I lived in Hongkong. He played and gig there for 17 years. What amazed me is you can go to all the bars and hotels in Hongkong and Filipino musicians is the one playing live music.

Thanks for reacting to this song/band. I wasn't really a fan of them as i was more into other genres (as opposed to theirs) back in the day but i had one favourite song of them which was titled "Himig" (means 'melody' in English) when i was a kid. Now, i've been seeing this son of Mr. Sapiera making the rounds here in the Net lately and so it reminded me of the man and his band (when i learned he is the father of EZ Mil). They've been out of the visible, local Philippine music scene for a while now (obviously in decades as i haven't heard much about them in 20 or so years since their hit songs in the 90s), so it's refreshing to know that they and their music are being recalled, recognized, and reviewed (by people apart from their loyal fans) once again. 🙂

Oh God! Paul's songs are part of my 90's life without even realizing it, without even knowing who actually sang these songs. Hearing these songs again have me feeling a rush of nostalgia i'm actually tearing up! So glad Ez Mil making it big now, paving also the comeback of the popularity of his father which he rightly deserves ever since.

Ez's mother is also a singer, infact she's the one who suggested to Ez to incorporate old Filipino folk songs to his genre ( that's the story of Panalo ) According to his father, since Ez was 5 years old, he's interested to all his stuffs, playing guitar, piano, composing songs and recording ( first video recording at 5 years old ).

He is truly a Rockstar as his band name as it is...it's just that he doesn't want the named Rockstar that's why they change the name of the band from Rockstar to Arkasia...but whatever the name of the band is He is one of the great musician back in the 80's and 90's...their songs are still playing until now.
