      Indeed, stock 9600k is only at 4.3Ghz all core, it would easily do 4.8-5.0Ghz + some uncore overclock for big gains.

    • @Kuhlschrank123
      @Kuhlschrank123 4 года назад +1

      If you look into the gaming benchmarks of those CPUs you're gonna find out, that Intel still has that little bit of edge (~10fps), but it average fps hovers around 150 on average in almost every game (depending on the resolution as well). I would go with the AMD one, since it has a lower price and you can use productivity apps too with more efficency than with the blue team processors. Stability wise I can't give an opinion, because I don't have a new system to experience these things first hand. My 11 year old Gigabyte motherboard is going strong with an i7 2600, running every game on High with a GTX 980 1080p@60. You don't really need the top of the line hardware to have a great gaming experience.
      You could do a bit a futureproofing also with the AMD one.
      TLDR: AMD price lower, more productive, Intel +10 fps. Imo all mobos do the job.

      I did the math. Average kWh cost in the US (it varies per state and of course in different countries) is 13 cents per kWh. The 9600k draws 95w tdp and the 3500x is 65w. If you ran it 24 hours a day 7 days a week for an entire 365 day/8760 hour year, the cost difference is about $30. And that’s the most extreme figure you can do. 108$ for a non stop year for the i5 and 74$ for the 3500x.
