It’s embarrassing and nobody should be paying to support this game. When they released the dlc as paid I uninstalled. The game still isn’t at a state it should have been in at release 🤦♂️ the dlc was not additional game content or gameplay it was barely bringing a game somewhat closer to a ready for release state…

Should of added Forge like Halo. Community would of added new Outpost Rush maps! Done a better job than AGS...

Fr, not sure how updates vids work in terms of when they will give another another one, but I hope that there is maybe another vid with possible new updates in the coming month or two, though my hope has really diminished at this point😢😭😭

If AGS thought this announcement was worth not providing any new content to PC players for months and expected PC players to not only wait but be excited for this announcement about consoles I don't know what to say. Due to New World inactivity, I've recently switched back to Elder Scroll Online, a game I haven't played in years yet I'm max level and at end game since a long time. And I'm having a blast. It's incredible what a 10 years old game can achieve in term of new content creation, and all the possibilities for different gameplay it have (group, pvp, solo, etc.). I can't understand how a modern game like New World fails so much to deliver quality content when ESO / FF14 have no problem for it. At the very least,, NW should copy past greats ideas of these games (gear sets, solo arenas, infinite dungeons, etc.) and just copy past them. Even this would be awesome.
ESO is an amazing game. The devs whilst made poor decisions have at least supported the game. If ESO ever got crossplay that would be huge

I think you're missing the point when you mention Realm Reborn, it was quite a turnaround, and so far at least we don't have a single piece of evidence that it's going to be that, we may even have evidence to the contrary with them renaming the game type to ARPG and no longer MMORPG.

Based on the livestream what I understood was that New World servers will no longer have your characters locked to them and you can log on to others if your preferred one is full
They are renaming the game to delete their overwhelming negative Steam review page. Did you watch the dev announcement video? Notice how they did not address PC players or existing game issues at all? If you have noticed the comment section on that video, the entire PC community feels completely betrayed. Everyone knows that AGS will never let those 10k sweaty PC players that never left the game play with the console players. It isn't going to happen. They are going to segregate the PC community and let them completely die on the vine, or we can basically delete our characters, equipment, gold and walk away from all our accomplishments to do yet another fresh start and get excited about doing the main story quest all over again. Then when we get to max level we can enjoy exicting end game activities like...outpost rush...and crafting...and a 3 boss raid! Oh, and got to wait 5 months even if you want to do that, so all your progress between now and then is worthless. The loyal PC community has been lied to by these devs for months. PC got thrown under the bus. They just want us all to quit. Well, wish granted. I immediately uninstalled. Not going to wait 5 months just to repeat the last 3 years. Time to look for a new job, bro. New World PC has been executed by corporate double-speak and a backstabbing dev team that literally hates their own players.
If you care about the community spread the message and do not let any console playwr buy it.

About the pre order it does seem to be a free update if you already own angry earth and main game
On steam: Adventurers who own New World (base game) and the Rise of the Angry Earth expansion on PC prior to the release of New World: Aeternum will receive a free update that includes all of the new content on October 15. Those that own the base game, but not the expansion will need to purchase the Rise of the Angry Earth to access the New World: Aeternum update at launch.

Why don’t you talk about the official information that we have from the dev video and the official website? Not really a full deep dive
They should make the servers similar to how Oldschool Runescape's servers work. Anyone can join any server at any time (with player limit obviously)
They should also make a pvp area like the wilderness in runescape, where anyone can attack anyone, and get whatever loot they have in their inventory. In addition to the pvp area, thjere should be some mobs, areas and bosses, where you could farm good gear, loot, etc. That way it would be a place both for pvp and pve players, but with higher risk of dying.

Facts.
I wrote this on Jay Oddities video to but I feel compelled to reiterate. It seems to me like a soft relaunch similar to what ESO did. When they launched on console they changed the name to ESO unlimited, and changed up the way the game worked then too, scaling all zones to all levels.
I personally will be trying this out on console. I played New World on PC last year and enjoyed it, never got sweaty with it but it was a good time, nowadays tho I only play on console so it seems perfect. I just need a good MMO, and everyone loves to hate this one but I’m sure theyd at least partly agree that the combat/ exploration/ gathering/ crafting (or any combination of) was good. Yes AGS has fumbled the games delivery, but there’s still meat on the stick!

Did he say 'nother-new world', or 'never new world'? 🤔First let me say I have not "quit the game" no matter how in-vogue it is to say so.
What has been going on that I have noticed is first they announced that there would be a staff member dedicated to reviewing player feedback about gameplay issues, and implementing changes. Here and there they've been quietly but diligently fixing stuff, which requires them to go back through code and address it. And I have noticed it at work - places where animals are inside rocks, where players get 'stuck', materials added here and there to make them more available.
Glitches in quests, terrain and other things are slowly going away and as a person who built stuff in my actual job I can tell you it is more work to un-screw something and fix it than it took to make it, so I appreciate their work making things smoother.
Secondly along the same lines they've been recoding the game not just to 'add shards' but to add platforms and that also takes a lot of work. But as a nod to long time players they are still trying to add elements. I think once consoles are online and running they will return to adding and updating main content.
Meanwhile what I've been doing is enjoying the invasions which are becoming quite entertaining, finishing levelling a few skills before they add another, and gathering materials so I have a stock of them when consoles come online. It's going to happen sooner than you think, and then I'll be glad I did.
If you're a "push to the top of the leaderboard" PVP'er,,, Those folks 👉do the exact same thing👈 in *Every. Single. Game.*
Which is get to the top, announce they are bored now, and move on to the next game and do it again. Seen it in Warzone, PUBG, etc. over and over. If a game isn't continuously adding more challenges they lose attention. Why should the game cater to that? If you get bored, buy yourselves a Playschool activity center...
Agree with pretty much all you said except the last point , i said from the first open beta the game is way to fast pace. Make the entire pve experience 10-20x harder and voila you won't see people crying about end game because they gonna need months to get there . Im not really the biggest mmorpg player i only play some Albion , metin2 , dekaron , and black desert and in all of those games no way you get to end game before 3 months even if you grind 16h a day while in new world i got lv 60 in the first 3 days ( would have done sonner but fck servers queue ) ofc players gonna get bored if they get to end game in 3 days - 1 week for casuals , make the fck game a total grind 10/daily for 2 months to get level 60 i wanna see how many players cry about end game then.

Yeah yeah dev update here and there, who cares. THIS was supposed to be the long awaited announcement we've all been waiting over 6 months for. The same announcement the devs have been hyping up every freaking dev update and even made a "joke" video about, where they bleep words for 5 minutes straight.
This whole announcement was 99% for the new console players (the few who will actually play) and the rest of us who have been playing their game for the past 3 years got completely ignored. This announcement was supposed to be for us.

I think the bggest most important question we ALL have is is New World still going to exist as an MMORPG but just sharded on all system,s and PC or if itll be restricted. Still really confusing.

This is nowhere close to the massive amount of work and passion that went into Realm Reborn rework. This feels more like wasted money to keep the game alive for just a little longer before the LOTR comes out and they can shut it down.

I can play with my console friends, maybe play on new crossplay only servers, bigger world cap, they are adding pvp zones or zone.. they will add 3 man difficulty dungeons/content. If done right I will come back as I always seem to for the big end of year update, haha.

i always wondered how decent normal gamers would/could become so bitter and toxic in a game community.. now i know too well. And i was on the cope team for many yrs now. it just keeps getting worse tho. dissapointment on every level and aspect. New and console players beware! they have ruined multiple generations of NW players, and are now acting like they are just starting a new clean sweep/start. but f.e. we have more bugs and issues now, then a year ago. not to mention the huge L, with keeping us with talk of huge new changes and exciting stuff (better then christmas) but sadly u cant tell us till june. then june comes and its only an AD, and vids explaining the base game to an audience with no idea of NW. acting like evrything done and said the last year didnt happen!? and this after repeated F U actions to the loyal community. and in general also being so tone deaf as well as bad at communication.

How do they expect the console community to thrive if they lump them in with the PC players? The War scene is already gatekept by a small portion of the community, how are console players ever going to have a chance to experience it? Especially when you consider the massive disadvantage due to hardware limitations/FPS. Another large group raid sounds cool, but what percentage of the player base actually gets to experience those? Not a large percentage.. Its yet another plan rolled out by AGS that feels half baked.
How about sea server is it available?
Amazon and Scot could have handled all this better. Console release is a good thing, but them driving the current player base into the ground has just been painful. Thumbs up for great videos.
