Please don't give up RUclips, this is my favourite build, don't take notice of all the bell ends they are only jealous that they don't have your talent..👍

Great update Craig, it's really coming together now! To me the most impressive part of the car is the underside and the welding work mate. It's EXACTLY how I'd want my builds to be. FYI : I have an original RS2000 with the shock rail below the boot floor and there are no bushes! It is bolted straight up to the floor with a sleeve over the original studs to hold it in place when the nuts were tightened. The cross member was a unique part with just a couple of small holes and not the large holes for the bushes. The poly bushes should give you a similar set up in the standard cross member - I guess there is little chance of an original turning up. I didn't realise how difficult it was to get some of the parts now, keep going and ignore all the negativity this is going to be a very nice car and I am enjoying your build.

Thanks Graham. I think its one of the best colour schemes. I love the olympic blue colour scheme too. Think they are my 2 favourites. Thanks for the comment. Much appreciated 👍
I don't mind your vids being a bit all over the place. That's a phase every build has at some point, and it's nice to see you reaching it, too. The only downside of that phase will be the lack of easily visible progress. Can't wait to hear her running.
Coming on great now absolute stunning. Also I can feel the quality in that gear shift. Stunning perfection.. Please do not stop videos coming I'd be forever wondering what it came out like. 👍
Mate ignore the plonkers you do a great job at what you are doing and your videos are always brilliant and I look forward to the next one every week ,I’d also be very happy watching a future vid on your pals cossy that you showed last episode . You’ve got a good following and most are over the moon with your vids and would be gutted if you packed in so chin up and crack on pal 👌🏻👍🏻🍻
Craig. The internet is a fabulous thing. But it is also the lurking place of some toxic unhinged individuals who are allowed to hide behind anonymity. Your project has really captured me and I assume others. Your attention to detail (OCD) :) is infectious and a joy to watch. Your personal style exudes a warmth and is captivating. Don't let them get to you. Keep up the good work. PS only a complete ********** would go for RS alloys and not Minilites. :) Only joking Craig.
Hi Craig, Been Following For A While Now And Love Both Cars 😇 Especially That Clubman 😎👍🏻 I Recently Just Got My 1991 Rover Mini 998cc Turbo And I’m Currently Doing My Apprenticeship In Mechanics 🔧 Love Watching Your Videos On My Tea Breaks They Are Quality 👍🏻 Ignore What The Haters say, Most Of Them Wouldn’t Be Able To Do What You Have Done and are just jealous. Good Luck With The Escort 😎
Thanks vey much. Really appreciate it 👍 really pleased you enjoy the videos. Best of luck with your apprenticeship and the mini build. 1000cc turbos are becoming a bit more popular these days.
You're really making significant progress now and she's looking fantastic! I noticed you have the wiper motor to fit. From my own experience, the wiper chrome spindles that fit on the scuttle and under the blades are a nightmare to find second hand and they seem to corrode. So if you don't have them try Stage 1 Motorsport who sell new repro ones for around £50 (perhaps a bit pricey but your wipers won't work without them!!!).
Thanks for taking the time to send the link for the Airhorns in your last video I also have mine Fitted the same position as yours out of sight behind the grill
Ignore the haters mate, you are doing a great job on your Escort. I'll certainly be re watching all your vids in the future as they are a great resource about how to get around problems and what goes where., sourcing parts etc. I'll be sorry to see these episodes end to be honest. I've enjoyed them that much.

Superb videos and a top restoration.........forget the Haters, I review radio equipment and get them too, if I don't like anything, I move on and don't comment...........keep up the good work.......Dave North Lincolnshire.
Thanks Dave 👍 I often look at comments on the absolute best people out there and even the best builders get negativity. Unfortunately theres no escaping it but it really shouldn’t be that way.
Absolutely top vlog as usual. But, why not try something like the Momo Sk50 aluminium gearknob. I know you're after something oem, however I've fitted these to MX5's and they feel superb with a good gear linkage. Cheers, 👍👍
@@johnpaton9578 i Struggle to put into words how bad it was when i bought it. It was so bad that nobody was interested in buying it so i got it much cheaper than they generally sell for. If i walked past it in the garage and accidentally knocked it, loads of chunks of rust would fall onto the garage floor. Many said it was beyond repair but i fancied a challenge and thats why the body-shell took me over 4 years to restore. I really enjoyed it though. If you look back through the videos, theres a 10 minute slideshow which shows a lot of before photos 👍

You deserve a Bad Obsession Motorsport award for bracketry. Love your attention to detail! The car will last because you care about protecting the paint work from cable rub. How much would a car of this standard be worth in £?
Thanks James 👍 They sell for anywhere between 40-60k generally which is silly silly money. I always say, its only worth what people would pay but i could never sell it tbh
Craig have you forgot those Murray clamps for the rad hoses, or is it in the to do list. Yes the knobs come over from twitter and troll threads mate. Keep up the good work. She's looking good.
Its on the to do list. I did have a look at them after the last time you mentioned it and the only reason i haven’t gone out and bought any is just down to cost at the minute. Its costing me a fortune every month as you can probably imagine 🤦♂️
@@performanceclassics1986 Ok understand I had to buy a 100mm one the other day £7.00 but it holds on the air filter. Keep up the good work I like that your fussy on the little clips and stuff, same as me.
Another great video. M11rf is in Thailand, might explain the delay. Can send you a photo of proper Ford prop bolts showing spec if any use to you. I've never known anyone to torque them, even at Ford they just got done up tight! I've at least 3 wiper motors lying around! Are you strengthening the shock bar?
Aaahhh that does explain things steve 🤣. Yeah if you could send it over, that would be great then i can compare them. I havent strengthened it up no. Its actually powder coated and fitted now. I remember seeing yours and how you strengthened yours and i did think about doing the same but il give it a try and its something i can always do in future if it cracks.
@@performanceclassics1986 I forget you are in a position to just weld it back together if it breaks! I don't have a welder and anything I have welded looks like pigeon droppings! Will dig bolts out tomorrow for pics.
@@performanceclassics1986 Hi Craig, car looking great as always. There are 2 different size flanges used on english diffs, the torque setting that low will be for the small flange with 5/16 unf or m8 thread bolts with nuts but the torque setting still seems low for that size bolt. The large flange which I think yours looks like has larger diameter bolts which screw into a thread in the diff flange rather than having separate nuts. These need to be a lot tighter than the small ones. Standard high tensile bolts are 8.8 grade but propshaft bolts are usually stronger 12.9 grade. I couldn't see what grade you have. The haters aren't worth bothering with, I see the same ones all the time on every video by u-tubers saying the content is crap and personally insulting the u-tubers looks or personality, I don't get why they watch and comment on every video if they don't like it, crazy!
Hi exelent job absolute beauty could I buy the dolly from you your using to move it around once you've finished with it I'm currently building an accident damaged mk 1 and as yours is so streight it could help me line everything up
Hello Andrew, thanks very much for the comment. Its not actually mine Andrew. Its my best mate whos looking to put his mk2 escort on it when i take mine off. If it was mine i would have sold you it. Sorry about that. If you get yourself some decent size castors and box section, you could very easily build your own. The frame mine is on is from the base of an old industrial set of aircraft steps. Its actually build from solid box and weights a ton 🤣

Great videos mate. They take a lot of time and effort to out them together. You keep trooping and building up the brand. The armchair haters slate everyone's videos. Blank them and focus in the 99% that appreciate your project.
Hello scott, long time no speak. Im just looking for a nice leather gearknob with the correct type 9 gear pattern. I can send you a photo if you want. Ive found one that i love but the gear pattern is wrong. Thanks again for your help 👍
be careful with the drive shaft angles, if it is not properly aligned you will damage your motor from the resonance. I think the diff should be pointing up. that's how i made it now. good luck
Thanks Eric. A few people have said the same. When the car has weight placed on the Axle, the prop shaft looks very straight from gearbox to diff. Is there a certain angle it should be??
@@performanceclassics1986 To start, put the car on 4 wheels, not on the jack, you will see that there is a difference. In my situation the motor is 4 gr down, so the diff should be 4 gr up, make an imaginary line these should run parallel, just watch this video, ruclips.net/video/gmV4qwLfOMY/видео.html. if you have any questions let me know.

I don't mind your vids being a bit all over the place. That's a phase every build has at some point, and it's nice to see you reaching it, too.
The only downside of that phase will be the lack of easily visible progress.
Can't wait to hear her running.
Yeah your right, unfortunately much of the big things are complete now but theres still the wheels and first start up 😎. Thanks for the comment 👍
Coming on great now absolute stunning. Also I can feel the quality in that gear shift. Stunning perfection.. Please do not stop videos coming I'd be forever wondering what it came out like. 👍
Thanks Stuart 👍 I wont give up. They would win if i did that 🤣
Another cracking video Craig. 👍
Thanks Barry 👍
love the videos......made pretty good.... your explaines are very good ....greetings from a classic ford lover and capri mk3 driver from germany
Thanks very much and its so fantastic to hear that my video’s are watched so far away from home. Thats really great 👍
Mate ignore the plonkers you do a great job at what you are doing and your videos are always brilliant and I look forward to the next one every week ,I’d also be very happy watching a future vid on your pals cossy that you showed last episode . You’ve got a good following and most are over the moon with your vids and would be gutted if you packed in so chin up and crack on pal 👌🏻👍🏻🍻
Thanks very much. Much appreciated. I will certainly try and cover the cossie in future too 👍
Looks so good. I'd be getting so impatient to drive it at this point. So close yet this is the stage that makes such a difference.
🤣 Thanks James. Im just so keen to make sure everything is right before it hits the road 👍
Absolutely mint......this car is a work of art 👍
Thanks Jamie 👍 much appreciated
Hey Craig it’s a joy to watch you progress every week, your car is magnificent, attention to detail is top class,👍
Thanks very much Patrick 👍
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Thanks. Im really pleased your enjoying them. It makes doing them all worthwhile 😎
Another great video, the car is looking great. 👌
Thanks Ian 👍
Good see you bk mate keep up great work 👍
Cheers Dave 👍
You're really making significant progress now and she's looking fantastic! I noticed you have the wiper motor to fit. From my own experience, the wiper chrome spindles that fit on the scuttle and under the blades are a nightmare to find second hand and they seem to corrode. So if you don't have them try Stage 1 Motorsport who sell new repro ones for around £50 (perhaps a bit pricey but your wipers won't work without them!!!).
Thanks Ian 👍 I have just bought a brand new set as it happens and im hoping they will arrive today so i can get it fitted. Thanks for the comment
Mate that’s great looking car like your excellent a tension to detail 👍👍👍🤜🤛
Thanks very much Anthony 👍
Thanks for taking the time to send the link for the Airhorns in your last video I also have mine Fitted the same position as yours out of sight behind the grill
No problem william. Glad to help. You happy with them??
Yes as you said they are not the same but I am happy with them they sound good a lot better than the original horn
Ignore the haters mate, you are doing a great job on your Escort. I'll certainly be re watching all your vids in the future as they are a great resource about how to get around problems and what goes where., sourcing parts etc. I'll be sorry to see these episodes end to be honest. I've enjoyed them that much.
That really really pleases me to read that. Im just so happy that people enjoy them. Thanks very much for the great comment and encouragement 👍
Thanks for the mention and the plug. 😘
No problem at all Mark. They are a decent solution
Looks Stunning can’t wait for start up
Thanks very much 👍 It shouldn’t be too long now i don’t think.
Me too. Lovely build. Theres not much I’d do different given the chance.
Looking fantastic fella, fair play
Thanks Gary 👍
Excellent !! Keep the good work up 👏
Thanks Stephen 👍
Keep up the good work craig! can’t wait for you to go it running 👍🏻
Thanks very much 👍 me too 😎
Top job mate i cant wait to see the finished product the attention to detail is on another level keep up the good work
Thanks Bryan. Much appreciated 👍
Brilliant content as always 👍👍
Thanks John 👍
Outstanding job, this car will be a credit to you when it’s finished 👍🏼
Thanks very much Neil. Much appreciated 👍
First class work as usual mate !
Ignore the bell ends
Cheers Lee. The world is full of them. They will soon get bored when they get no response 🤣
Keep up the good work, looking forward to start up and first drive 👍🏻
Thanks Grant. Me too 👍
Don't give up mate love your vids
Thanks very much. I wont let them win 👍
Another great vlog, absolutely brilliant work and fair play to you for keeping going on you tube, I for one would definitely miss your updates, are we getting near Alloys arriving time? Can’t wait to see them!
The alloys are the part im most looking forward too aswell Nige. Another 2-3 weeks and they are due for delivery. Really excited for that delivery i must say 😎. Thanks for the comment 👍
The car is looking well nice 👍🏻
Thanks Mark 👍
Once again grate content to detail 👌 wè tip try da dishwasher for cleaning the plastic works well just don't let the miss catch ya 😉 as for the trolls wouldn't give them the time of day
🤣 Thanks Gary. I did use the dishwasher for some of the light lenses and they came up perfect 😎👍
Great progress , looking forward to seeing it finished
Thanks 👍. Me Too 😎
Great project buddy love the show keep it up 👍
Thanks very much Martin 👍
Loving the build mate, your level of motivation is also helping me to too keep up the work on my mk3 capri, also just wondering if you have a link to the quick shift for the type 9 box you got ?
Thanks very much. The you tube channel really pushes me on to be honest, so that i have plenty of content. I dont have a link but if you give GS Escorts a call, they will certainly help you out im sure. There a great bunch of lads.
Good job mate
Thanks very much 👍
Not long now buddy, can’t wait to hear it fire up.
Mick
Cheers Mick. Im really looking forward to that too 😎
Superb videos and a top restoration.........forget the Haters, I review radio equipment and get them too, if I don't like anything, I move on and don't comment...........keep up the good work.......Dave North Lincolnshire.
Cheers, 👍👍
Thanks for the idea. I will go and have a look at one of them right now 👍. Thanks for the comment 👍
Great video
Thanks John 👍
What was the car like when you got it as never seen the first video
@@johnpaton9578 i Struggle to put into words how bad it was when i bought it. It was so bad that nobody was interested in buying it so i got it much cheaper than they generally sell for. If i walked past it in the garage and accidentally knocked it, loads of chunks of rust would fall onto the garage floor. Many said it was beyond repair but i fancied a challenge and thats why the body-shell took me over 4 years to restore. I really enjoyed it though. If you look back through the videos, theres a 10 minute slideshow which shows a lot of before photos 👍
Ignore the negative people, keep up the good work mate, looks stunning 👍
Thanks very much 👍 Im just not going to reply to the negativity going forward.
Loving build pal ignore the idiots
You are about the the same has me when it come to finishing your rs
I can’t wait. Love to have chat and a meet when we have our cars done. 👍👌
Thanks Mark 👍 We might just meet at a show somewhere 😎
@@performanceclassics1986 hope so I would like to send a vid of mine so far. But I don’t how to. I will ask one of my lads.
@@markwright7910 👍
Haters are always going to hate it’s your car and it outstanding mate keep it up 👍
Yeah thats an unfortunate truth. Thanks very much 👍
Some People hate about anything and everything and that is that sad truth these days but just look at all the love your getting, pure jealousy is all it is, imagine having that much of a sad life that you take the time to make comments on other peoples lives. Amazing as always 😄
Thanks Ry 👍 thankfully it is only a small minority
You deserve a Bad Obsession Motorsport award for bracketry. Love your attention to detail! The car will last because you care about protecting the paint work from cable rub. How much would a car of this standard be worth in £?
Thanks James 👍 They sell for anywhere between 40-60k generally which is silly silly money. I always say, its only worth what people would pay but i could never sell it tbh
Just ignore the knobs
She's looking amazing and we can't wait to see her sideways
Cheers 🥃👍
🤣 Cheers Bob 👍
@@evo5349 I think being fussy is what assures a higher standard finish. It gets a bit obsessive at times though 🤣
Nice one 👍💯
Thanks John 👍
Hi exelent job absolute beauty could I buy the dolly from you your using to move it around once you've finished with it
I'm currently building an accident damaged mk 1 and as yours is so streight it could help me line everything up
Hello Andrew, thanks very much for the comment.
@@performanceclassics1986 thanks for reply will have a go at building one keep those vids going it keeps mee motivated when thing are not going well fantastic build hope mine comes somewhere near
@@andreword9784 thanks Andrew. Best of luck
Great videos mate. They take a lot of time and effort to out them together. You keep trooping and building up the brand. The armchair haters slate everyone's videos. Blank them and focus in the 99% that appreciate your project.
Thanks very much 👍 Really appreciate the support.
Askin around nz for gear stick nob for ya mate have ya got a pick of the one ya want ? 🤙
Hello scott, long time no speak. Im just looking for a nice leather gearknob with the correct type 9 gear pattern. I can send you a photo if you want. Ive found one that i love but the gear pattern is wrong. Thanks again for your help 👍
that is looking the dog's ...... lol first time I've seen your car mate good luck with it ignor the KNOBIES
Thanks Stephen. Much appreciated 👍
Nice car
Thanks George 👍
yep same problem with prop shaft....aarrr
be careful with the drive shaft angles, if it is not properly aligned you will damage your motor from the resonance.
Looking at your videos I see that your engine is also about 4 gr. is down.
I made a drawing for you .

Love your project watching from beginning coming on great looks class be nice going cruising knowing you built it your self 👍
Thanks very much. That is a superb video and very very useful. I learned a lot from that short clip. Much appreciated 👍
The bad comments are probably from people running standard mk1 that don't have your skills 😂 keep them coming mate 👍
Or people that dont have classic cars at all possibly 🤔 Thanks very much 👍
👍🏻🍺👏
Shaping up beautifully - ignore the trolls - they are jealous idiots - Cant wait for to hear this 1 start up.
Thanks very much. Its a small minority thankfully 👍
M8, its great seeing these vids, watching the car grow, it's your car not theirs,, you've done right in keeping the vids coming along, let the green eyed nay sayers wither in there misery, stating,( I had one of those back in the day) motto, but mine was better, I hear this alot, I smile and say where is yours nowadays!! and then drive off...
🤣 very true. Half of them are Dreamers though and probably a good percentage have never achieved anything in their life but as you say, talk is cheap. Thanks very much for the great comment 👍
