Not the biggest Devon fan but the idea is great. Easterners however may not like the idea of a hammer since it's a germanic symbol of strength (maybe it's used by other cultures too though idk). Of course Denis has had the note translated and by now understands that he isn't the rightful owner of the hammer, so any talk of a misunderstanding is disingenuous. There is no good reason for him to hold on to it.

i think its funny that denis probably just thought it was a regular gift, not paying attention to all this western banter, and is like "larrat want to take back gift? not good man...in russia we call that a balakaspat."
Put it simple - denis and his friends need to learn some basic English and translate the letter (after all these years) to the language that denis understands (oh wait, elementary russian?)
Devon was right but the way he did it was wrong in so much levels. Denis probably respected devon so much but after what devon did? I don't know anymore
There's also a clause that if you retire, you don't keep the hammer you pass it on. The hammer needs to be continuously in motion. If you get injured and you're out for a year, you should also pass the hammer on. The way you would any other title
There’s literally nothing in writing anywhere in which to insert a clause. When you say “clause” I assume you mean “Devon said”. (Which I agree with by the way)
I’ll put here in the comments the message I wrote to Engin about his gauntlet idea and this hammer topic. You guys let me know what you think about it 💪 Hi Engin, as a huge armwrestling fan I would like to share my opinion on this gauntlet. I like it very much and it's not a bad idea in a strict sense, but you should be very aware of the risks that it brings to the future of the sport. The problem is that it is strictly bound to the east vs west brand, and it could not possibly be "re-utilized" for the future champions. It is exactly a copy of the so controversial WAL Hammer, just with another brand written on it. What if in the future East vs West ceases to exist? Obviously I hope it's never the case, but what if? East vs West already has the champions' belts with the logo on. Is it really necessary to add another trophy? I know you don't like the WAL Hammer because it's bound to an old armwrestling league such as WAL, and it represents it, but creating a new trophy the concept of LEGACY will be lost. I think that league-specific trophies like EvW belts and WAF medals are alright, but the most important trophy for the very strongest armwrestler in the world should not be linked to any league. It should be brand-less. Maybe we can just remove the WAL logo off the hammer. Or maybe you can still make this beautiful gauntlet but without the East vs West logo on it. I know it must be difficult for you, because you love armwrestling and you love East vs West. You are so proud of this organization and you should be, you have all the rights. You created it from zero and helped the sport of armwrestling grow a lot, and we all are very grateful to you for this. But now I shall be very clear: *East vs West IS NOT armwrestling!* Maybe it is in this historical moment, but we can’t know if it will still be in the future. What if in 200 years from now another league with another name is doing great things for the sport and they don’t want to use the East vs West gauntlet because of the brand? Just like you don’t want to use the WAL hammer. We should do this gift TO THE SPORT OF ARMWRESTLING IN GENERAL, and not only to the East vs West name. It is the WHOLE ARMWRESTLING SPORT that needs its own absolute trophy, not East vs West, that already has its belts. I like to think that in 200 or 300 years the armwrestlers of the future will still be fighting to obtain that so aspired legendary trophy, that will be full of the LEGACY idea. I think that this is what Devon was talking about. We don't want the WAL hammer, but we want A SINGLE ARMWRESTLING TROPHY, not bounded to any brand name, and eternal. World absolute strongests shall write their names on this trophy and the legacy will continue for so many years from now, regardless of the organization of the moment. I hope I explained well my opinion, and I would love to speak with you about it. Good luck for the amazing job you are already doing for the sake of this sport. Love you Engin, all armwrestling fans are indebted to you 🙏
Artyom will only accept it because of Enging lol. Most of the armwrestlers didn't really care Denis had it until Devon started this drama. It's a legacy forced upon the community. It just goes to show the level of influence Devon has.
this is logical at 100% but the things is Larratt decided to play that cheap game of bad words before the last Event, Denis was mad and i can understand why! So Devon started poking Denis with the Hammer and again insulting him for absolutly nothing. We all know that if Devon had acted in a good way at their last meeting, that thing wouldn't happened...so in my mind all that shit is due to Larratt. Plus it's a huge lack of respect towards Denis health.
I'll tell you what the current situation is! You now have become the official owner of the left-handed Legacy hammer😂 if Devon wants it back, he needs to come and get it.
If Morozov’s left was healthy and Devon didn’t have to be 105kg for the Petrenko match, it would be good to see Devon vs Morozov on left arm at EvW15 added. You couldn’t ask for a better buildup.
Devon didn't train his left with weights or 6 years and just after Levan he starting training his left, so it's too soon. It would be 99% Morozov would win. Devon needs another year to try to win left hand title

the fact that u need and want all these "rules" invalidates the entire concept of this thing...
Everyone understood the hammer concept before it was given to denis. except denis apparently
i’m so confused do you have the hammer? How? is that a replica? ???
It’s Janis hammer
Not the biggest Devon fan but the idea is great. Easterners however may not like the idea of a hammer since it's a germanic symbol of strength (maybe it's used by other cultures too though idk).
Of course Denis has had the note translated and by now understands that he isn't the rightful owner of the hammer, so any talk of a misunderstanding is disingenuous. There is no good reason for him to hold on to it.
Im surprised Devon hasn't responded yet.
Keep it secret. Keep it safe, Ray.
Does it have Cyplenkov's name on it?
I would be surprised
@@theunknownsamurai7426 Yeah. Very unlikely.
I want to see it get improved. Take off the WAL logo to make room for more names. Add some bling to that thing, gold inlay would look so good,
So is engin trying to help or just trying to recrwate a legacy piece to say he started the stanley cup of armwrestling?
Crafted by Celebrimbor Larratt!! 😂😂
If Dennis is gonna be stubborn, make a “new” left hammer. Done.
As allways, Ray is right, calm, and accurate. Dude you could easily be "the grand chief" that judges whats right and true when scuffles occure in the community. Basically one of the rare guys, maybe alongside Paul Linn, Janis, quite rare who completely owns his ego.
The left hammer is in Travis' hands. Also, Im sorry to say this because I do love all of them., but any item having WAL names as "the champions" is ridicolous in itself. Who was the strongest at the moment in WAL more often than not wasnt the real champ. Like, cmon, Marcio? He was never for a second nr1 anywhere.
Classic american thing, the NBA champion is the "champion of the world" etc
Second is better than first
Denis doesn't want to give out the hammer because it belong to the only true king of armwrestling: Ryan Bowen.
At first the hammer idea was cool. Now I see it as a symbol of the power that the fame of a single athlete has over a sport that is currently not so well known.
So Denis gave the hammer to Ray then, wow!
RUclips algorithm boosting comment 💪 ... youtube.com/@engin_terzi Engin addressed what will happen with the hammer from Denis, check it out.
and it seemed like Denis actually likes that hammer too. i would like to see a replica where everyone signs the hammer to show how much we value Denis. i think that would be awesome too.
i think its funny that denis probably just thought it was a regular gift, not paying attention to all this western banter, and is like "larrat want to take back gift? not good man...in russia we call that a balakaspat."
is that Janis' hammer?
The problem with the hammer is that it has written WAL on it, and Engin doesn't like it
Denis can modify it, change the WAL plaque and to another with Legacy Hammer on it.
Put it simple - denis and his friends need to learn some basic English and translate the letter (after all these years) to the language that denis understands (oh wait, elementary russian?)
Without devin there wud be no beef no controversy no thrashtalk no fun
So, if you want to keep the hammer forever then you need to make a new one.
RAY! Why are you always so cool!!! My Hero 🫡
Did I miss something? Whose hammer is this with Ray?? Did Denis sent it to Ray to give it back to Devon?? What is happening
Denis cyplenkov ❤❤🔨
🧟♂️ 💭 Denis still don’t understand, Denis loves gift from Larratt forever.
Kind a like the Stanley Cup 👍
225 pounds hammer
Devon was right but the way he did it was wrong in so much levels. Denis probably respected devon so much but after what devon did? I don't know anymore
denis already hates him from the 2023 match drama
I agree that Devon did this from a good place and I like the concept but you can't force the athletes to care.
💯 🔥♥️💪
There's also a clause that if you retire, you don't keep the hammer you pass it on. The hammer needs to be continuously in motion. If you get injured and you're out for a year, you should also pass the hammer on. The way you would any other title
There’s literally nothing in writing anywhere in which to insert a clause. When you say “clause” I assume you mean “Devon said”. (Which I agree with by the way)
👍👍👍
I’ll put here in the comments the message I wrote to Engin about his gauntlet idea and this hammer topic. You guys let me know what you think about it 💪
Hi Engin, as a huge armwrestling fan I would like to share my opinion on this gauntlet.
You now have become the official owner of the left-handed Legacy hammer😂 if Devon wants it back, he needs to come and get it.
rebrand it and pass it around.. simple
Don’t think it would take that long. He was sparring well against Kody and Alex after Global Elite 1. And Alex took Morozov near his limit.
i make a good argument now. Make a new hammer from dennis! Solved. Let denis keep his hammer.
