It's amazing how recognizable so many of the sprites are despite the massive graphics improvements title to title. Hearing how respectful of player skill this entry is excites me, have gotten stuck on some Momo bosses. Was fortunate to stumble upon the series due to vsrecommendedgames when I was trolling about for freeware. Weren't Momo's stories mostly a quick sentence, then back to atmosphere?
The characters in the Momodora series don't fight using a sword. Most of them use magical leafs (except for the 1st game, which has the character using a gun but that's mostly because it was heavily inspired by Cave Story).
@@KazeShikamaru Momodora 1, 2, 3, then Reverie under the Moonlight and finally Moonlit Farewell. If you're talking about chronological order, Reverie takes place long before the first game. There's a video talking about the entire series floating around if you don't want to play them.
Day one purchase for me! I love this series, and I hope we get a physical collection of all the games bundled together in not too long.
ive only played reverie under moonlight but i thoroughly enjoyed my time with it and im glad to hear this game is good too.
this game looks like sooo much fun, especially with how much smoother they made the combat, and here I thought the last game was great holy shit

Can't wait until this comes to console!
Nice review
helpful review i think i will grab a copy
Did they keep the mechanic of killing a boss without getting hit gets you a boss item?
from my testing, no, seems the game autosaves after bosses too so it makes it tricky to find out for sure
Wow I love this music.
Hate that this is the last game in the series
I hope there’s more!!!!
If the game makes a shit ton they would do another.
Tbh this is a more forgiving game, well once you get a certain sigil... Which makes this game on normal to easy mode.

Do we have a price to frame the gameplay time against yet?
$16.99 at launch. $19.99 normally
No console release?
Waiting on a physical release for this one.
That’d be rad
@@NoisyPixelNews the 1st game got a physical release. So im hoping for one here too. Limited Run will do one I'm sure.
How many games are in the series?
There are 5
@@NoisyPixelNews Ah okay. I remember getting one on sale. What is the order of them?

So on the switch it's the first game and the last game right?
I cannot wait 🤩😍
Good review
thanks :)
I never played any Momodora game , will i be punished if I start playing this one ?
Nah. The story will take some time catching up on.
I really hope this one comes to console
me too
"Here is to hoping this is last game by
..."
😂😅
I just said isn’t too fast! Haha I knew I should have re-recoded that🤦♂️
Having to walk the whole way back to the boss after dying is so terrible
Haha yea kinda padded the runtime.
For real? Damn, skipping this one then
Actually untrue, there is a save point at most 2 rooms away from a boss, at one point right in it. This is not your dark souls or wow walk of shame.
@@SomeOfBodyyeah ngl I didn’t really notice this as a problem at all while I played.
I don’t have a PC
Check out Minoria, it's a similar game by the same devs and on console
@@tj3423 Thanks, I didn't know that. Steam version wouldn't start for some reason so I had to refund it
10 to 15 hours? Dont think so. The previous Momodora games were like 4 hours to beat.
The lower end of 10😂
What a great review.
Until the guy spoke.
You’re a psychopath! 😂
