Me to Belka, Estovakia, Erusea and Captain Torres: Perhaps I treated you to harshly
Yup.
I don't know Belka made about 500 V2s
@@phoenixwyvern355 That would be about 4,000 300kt nukes a LOT.
@@samuelefesoa7317 rumor has it Belka are trying to make drone that can hold atleast 5 V2s or an Aircraft
Belka, Estovakia and Erusea were doing it as a desperate attempt to stop an invasion on their own territory and to pull their country out of decline
The Federation did it because they were angry Cascadia wasn't letting them exploit their natural resources so they could invade places that weren't yet part of the Federation.
From this mission onward, I almost forgot that this was a three-man indie game. I was speechless. I couldn't believe the scale of the horror I was seeing.
Brace yourself, ACF, 'cause it's only gonna get worse.
How the fuck can this get worse?
Cascadia is gone and any other nation near it; civilian casualties are in the millions and that area will probably become unhabitable for centuries. The whole ring of fire in that region is active.
What's next? An asteroid or a vulcanic winter?
Also, props to the developers for this amazing work. It's not everyday day we get to see such a beautiful game, even though we witnessed an atrocity
@@Destroyer2150 trust me this game's gets even more fucked up later on, but obviously avoiding spoilers here
I beat the game two days ago and im still shocked by the ending
@@adlibbed2138 Just finished the game last night. Oh man.....you were not kidding! The reality is, yeah okay we "won" the war but at what cost? Everything is destroyed and ruined with half of the population gone CENTURIES to recover even in a slightest! Truthfully speaking, there is no winner at the end of the game at this point. The only good thing that happens at the end is the antagonist death. At least one evil guy was taken off this world. But BOY such victory battle is basically meaningless because of the heavy losses we've faced as well.
@@taylorramirez9628 I legit did not expect such crazy twisted ending! I mean DAMN!! I definitely felt some type of way when the game ended the way it did 😖
Money well worth spent though! The campaign definitely turned out to be a lot better than I thought!

The Federation makes the Waldreich mountains look tame
Belkans: *Detonates 7 nukes on the Waldreich Mountains to stall Allied Forces

Waldreich was pretty tame for the number of casualties.
I think warcrime is an understatement for this mission.
It's Scorched land policy but on a continental scale.
They made Waldreich looks like a joke.
@Channel07 those nukes were tiny compared to that
I would call it a "fail-unsafe".
Cold-war Soviet used to have programs to launch nukes to every country in the free world if it is invaded.
This is probably closer to that.
@Channel07 the Krakatoa eruption back in the 1883 is what should've been pictured instead
And Cordium Warheads made Nuclear Warheads look like a joke. The devestation of these warheads make nukes look like a typical high explosive bomb.
bruh. they just straight out blew up the entire ring of fire. It's a multicontinental atrocity in 30 seconds.

This mission has to be the single most terrifying mission of any video game I've ever played. The entire time I was playing I was waiting for "the nuke level" because it felt customary to these kinds of games, and media has kinda numbed me to nukes (It's an overplayed trope in my opinion). But this? Splitting the world open to consume everyone - combatants, civilians, friendlies, hostiles - with the player in the thick of it? The bass boom of each warhead, the thunder and lightning of the anomalous weather, the ashy rain on the canopy? When I realised seconds before the final explosion what was going on I was completely winded out of genuine terror, and nothing else has even come close.
The canopy even gets scratched up
I kinda like the fact that the cruise missiles are scripted to hit despite the player's best efforts; it really sinks in the feeling of helplessness that everyone, presumably even Monarch felt upon seeing the cruise missiles, which are glowing brightly unlike the ones he intercepted previously.
Not really a scripted, its just they make the missiles are more manuverable, you can shot down all of em with PW MK1 and unlimited ammo cheat
(Spoiler)
Sadly doesn't changed anything the city still burned when the plot armor script are triggered although if you shot down all the missiles
Well from what I've gathered cordium can still react even when shot down, so doesnt really matter. But still, plot armor
The Federation got so salty they gonna kill everyone on Earth
*If I cAn'T hAvE iT, nO oNe CaN!!!*

I understood that reference.
Emperor Palpatine’s credo
Not the Federation, just one bitter psychopath
Mission 1 was foreshadowing
This manages to make the fucking 7 nukes look like firework duds. Every explosion gave me chills and when it all went critical my mouth dropped.
Ace combat would never have the balls to go this far.
Forget dud fireworks, THIS made the Seven Pillars look like a feather in the lightest breeze!
7 Nukes meant to create fallout-barrier in desperate attempt to prevent more decline in country while federation just throwing fit because they f*cking lose, none of IF force have the mean to reach crystal kingdom yet and they already thorwing fits
I don't think the lines played in this one for some reason, but there's an argument between two high ranking Federation guys in Prospero (I think, or elsewhere) that ended in one shooting and killing the other over the authorization of the Cruise Missile barrage. It was worrying to hear during the mission.
I know which one you mean. It's Captain Flowers arguing with the Commander of the Federation Peacekeeper Squadron (it's not Crimson 1.). The Peacekeeper Commander killed Flowers in order to access the missiles because Flowers refused to do it himself.
So is this what happen if we dont bring our waifu, gee
Valuable lesson on the importance of waifus in the world.
What makes it worse is the fact that if you didn't bring Prez she's stuck back at base with everyone else while the world Breaks, completely unaware of what happened in Prospero.

What's really awesome was the sense of impending doom and tension escalation by the voice acting of the geologists. Their stuttering and obvious lack of understanding of what's going on aside from a sudden 'Ring of Fire' erupting across a chunk of a country really sells the drama.
Even in the different IP, Prospero still burns to the ground...

By using Cordium-powered Cruise Missiles instead of Nuclear or even Conventional?
@@mystyle_jm8997 Unlike nuclear, Cordium reacts violently with each other, like potassium and air. Just a few dozen missiles of a few kilotons on top of a ring of cordium deposits ripped the former US Western seaboard a new asshole. The chain reaction achieved the results of dozens of Tsar Bombs without the radioactive fallout.
This is what happens when you mix Broken Arrow, Stage of Apocalypse, Trenaty and 1M Lives in one.
I bet Prez would have a mental breakdown.
After replaying this so called Stage of Apocalypse I now have more hatred towards the Federation then the Balkans or the Erusans

The previous mission: so many war crimes.
This mission: The Federation commits THE war crime.
It's absolutely impressive how they managed for the Federation to surpass Belka.
"well what would set it off? a cordium primed warhead?! who would do that?!"

"I've become death, destroyer of worlds"
Consequence of Power is a hell of a way to pronounce Stage of Apocalypse.
Stage of Apocalypse from hell
So... I guess Belka isn't so bad in comparison? I mean, seven nukes in your mainland and generations of conspiracies, sure, but... Wow. THAT was advanced war crime right there.
torres looks tame by comparison lol
Crime against Humanity at this point
Belka: Seven nukes create an unbreakable border, nobody will be able to invade us any further.
Federation: You don't want us to use your geothermal resources to power our war machine? Then we're going to make sure you don't have any geothermal resources.
Belka: I'm going to blow up 7 nukes because i lost
Federation: amateurs
Belka: what did you say to me
Federation: I said amateurs *blows up half of the world*
I'm seeing a lot of comments comparing this to Waldreich, and I agree with what they're saying.
*Waldreich was NOTHING compared to this.*

As soon as I heard those launch codes my mind instantly goes back to Operation: Spit break in Gundam Seed.
I know what you mean. We're the ZAFT forces in this case.
Incidentally I remember making a story where Sicario was hired as mercenaries by ZAFT at the time of Destiny and participated in the Armory One and World Break incidents. That, and the Cordium nukes were used at Heaven's Base by Blue Cosmos to stop the protagonists. (This was an SRW story)
As soon as I saw that red tinted subtitle I knew shit was about to get super serious.
I love Wild Boar's voice acting in this. Up to this point we've seen him barely hanging on to reason when dealing with the Federation, yet throughout their bullshit he's still managed to show some small degree of mercy towards captured Cascadians, recognising that they had probably been fed nothing but lies about the war to prevent them from defecting. Now as he realises he and his soldiers are almost certainly going to die within moments, gives one final order: "KILL THEM ALL!"
One personal gripe I always had with AC0 is that, probably because of the limited power of the ps2, you don't really see the bombs being dropped, it happens in the distance, while you're on another mission.
This is what happened that day in the ground zero of the seven nuclear detonations, and this time, you're there.
8:04
As always, once you heard those words, something's gonna get terrible.
This mission is brilliant: the missiles sent against the Eminent Domain made us panic, but were mostly easy to deal with.
We think we're going to do the same here, and...nope. Trying to shoot down the missiles, only to fail, just makes the outcome feel even worse.
Guys, this is what happened when you abandoned your waifu. She gone nuts and cause a calamity. Prez is definitely a yandere...

Not to mention those missiles are not like usual Ace Combat straight-flying cruise missiles, but they actually maneuver just a bit less crazy than the one in Ace Combat 04's Breaking Arrow @.@
Nuclear warhead: I am the most destructive force known to mankind.
Cordium warhead: Hold my Beer!
In other news Federation goes full Belka.
They didn’t even go full belka, they went full on terrorist!!
They went Belka^3
They surpassed Belka
Belka across realitys "WRITE THAT DOWN! WRITE THAT DOWN NOW!!!"
This is way out of Belka's league.
I love how intense and huge the battle feels, there's shit happening everywhere and the battlefield feels real.
Same. Theres so much chaos during the fight. This is my favorite mission in all of the campaign. The massive air battle over a massive city with the volcano in the distance, the air raid siren, the song Pyroclastic playing during the mission really makes the whole mission feel so intense and gives you a genuine feeling you're about to end the war. The whole mission gave me chills
Holy crap, Hoffnung, Waldreich all the entire chaos was happened in all Strangereal history in just one fucking mission
0:25: Huh, looks like we're having some problems in east Russia and west Alaska.
Yeah i noticed that one while i played the game yesterday, probably Crimson Squardon stays at there.
When I played these obliteration missions, I could only think of one word: "Exterminatus"
This was fucking terrifying, I won’t be able to sleep tonight. I’m kinda scared as to what Project Aces will do to shock us in future AC games. Belka’s 7 nukes were at least in the mountains. Torres would’ve destroyed only one city and killed only a million. They don’t compare to the cordium missiles and this new cataclysm.
It is just bring fire to the oil, underneath the Prospero. Crazy to think Feds too desperate to do this. Like, I lose, so you will LOSE TOO.
At least Belka has a good reason for the 7 nukes and they detonate them far away from civilization. But this? I'd say this is madness
Belka nuked his own country so the allied forces would not taking over the country as the new military base
While federation nuke their own member state (in this case Cascadia) just to made them surrendered and returned to Federation's hand for good
Yeah a very rude way to made your enemies giving up
Yeah because ACF did the mission so fast, he skipped some dialogue.
Turns out the guy who authenticated the missile command killed another federation officer because he won't let them launches the nukes.
Sorry Project Aces this is just...far more horrendous and scaled up than the 7 nukes, no this game truly took inspiration from the holy trinity of Ace Combat games. AC4 with the gameplay and nature of it overall, AC5 with world building and the atmosphere of war, the horrors of it on the world. And now ACZ With Calamity!! These people deserve awards, praise, money anything and everything for this game!!
2:41 "This is the only plane we have with an angle of attack feature."
(Laughs in SK27)
This game is basically like Spec Ops The Line with Fighter Jets, they actually make you feel bad for winning the war, when you actually think that you are archiving victory, the Federation comes and nuke an entire city, I already knew this plot twist, but one thing is knowing and other is seeing yourself, I had the same feeling when I was order to destroy the aquarium in Spec Ops The Line, one moment I was joyful for winning the war, and the next I was devastated for all the death and destruction.
When I played this mission for the first time, seeing the lens flares at the distance from the cruise missiles made me scared already
my friend on VC was screaming " ONE MILLION LIVES!!!!!!"
12:35 God... have mercy on our souls, because we've sinned.
Belka: Did nothing wrong
The Federation: Caused an apocalypse level event
Now you gotta do "What if you shot down every missile."
Oh, and bringing the Waifu.
I don't think Prez will be okay with this...
It doesn't look that we can shut down all missiles.
Even after a dozen hit, they still kept coming.
Do we have to bring her?
Also, I'm afraid that task is undeniably impossible.
@@michaelandreipalon359 Unless you got unlimited ammo for special air-to-air weapons and the best aircraft in the game, I don't think even with that, it would be possible. The missiles can turn and evade. I guess the best you could is minimize the impact zone. Where is a Tactical Laser when you need it....
Its pretty much impossible. The missiles come in from multiple spaced locations, even if you manage to clear from one direction there's still the other directions that they're coming from. Doesn't help either that the missiles behave like fighters so they can dodge you easily.
Depending on the end-game aircraft, I'm sure someone gonna speedrun this shiz and clears all the cruise missiles. Not sure if that's supposed to happen though, unless the game has more than one path and ending. Probably more missiles will spawn for every missile you take down.
This is pure defeat.
They deployed more nukes than every nuke deployed in gaming history!
Belka: *detonates 7 nukes on their own soil because they're losing
Federation: Hold my beer
Belka: "We nuked ourselves seven times to end a war."
Federation: "Bitch, please, we've started a Second Calamity to *continue* one."
Not gonna lie, cruise missile and the blast zone part gives me the shivers.
Ace Combat Fan....no one could've believed anyone could've surpassed the insanity of Belka....until today.
Holy... shit.
This is like Belka but pumped up tenfold, absolutely horrific, I love it!
When I was playing this mission and they were talking about the heat signatures at what not, I didn’t know what they were talking about and then I looked behind me and I saw all the missiles and my jaw was actually agape, and when the hit it was actually terrifying seeing all the friendly markers on the ground just disappear while people on comms are just going crazy yelling at each other, it was astonishing, but terrifying
7 nukes supposed to be even worse than this, but considering the graphics at the time..it seems like nothing..hats off to PW developers for pulling off this mission
This is actually considerably worse because the explosions set up a chain reaction on the ring of fire spanning through the whole continent.
Belka probably calculated the area of explosion because they just want to stop the allied forces from closing in
@@xylven5918 like Nuking Yellowstone !? XD
@@mrandrossguy9871 Even worse, as cordium-on-cordium reaction set off the deeper reserves. It's like nuking Yellowstone, if it was made out of lithium deuteride.

Sad that you didn't get the bits about Federation Officers refusing to carry out the orders to launch the warheads.
Or the implications that this was carried out by Crimson 1.
devs should add this achievement:
"That was anticalamatic...": Shoot down every single cruise missile in Mission 15: Consequence of Power

Nah, feels like he's just gonna defect and now appear anymore. Or at least stay grounded.
The guy is not doing very well.
I doubt it, this is the type of thing that’s actually going to cause federation soldiers and pilots to defect. While the federation is the enemy, the soldiers and pilots still have morals and lines they would never cross just like the rest of us do.
