I've found your channel looking for reviews for this piece and I subscribed after watching the Nodus GMT video. While I'm kinda new to watch collecting, I tried a few Seikos, but I ended up selling them as they didn't particularly awe me. I thought the Alpinist might be the one Seiko I'd get to keep, but it's marginally outside my budget and then I found this one. Did you keep it? If so, what are your impressions now? If not, what percentage did you lose?
My experience with Seiko is a lot like yours. Just not impressed for the money spent. In this case, I ended up returning it to Amazon for credit. After making sure it was fully wound before going to sleep, it had stopped before I woke. After doing this a couple times, I returned it for refund. To be fair, I bought it from Amazon Warehouse Deals so it had been a return and was probably defective when it left the factory. Still, that doesn't speak well for Seiko.
