I am from srilanka my biochemistry teacher asked questions about COVID 19 and test and techniques i only referred your video and she said " well done i think you have done a phd on COVID 19"
As a biomedical researcher, I think it's amazing to see how fast research progresses once enough funding is provided. In 2020 alone, clinical phase III trials have already started which test HIV or Ebola drugs (and might be successful to some degree), an antibody against SARS-CoV-2 has been developed and and vaccines are developed by over 80 institutions (I just published a video about recent COVID-19 breakthroughs). Last week, scientists also found out that SARS-CoV-2 is currently not able to infect dogs or lifestock but might unfortunately be able to infect cats. Great video, I'm enjoying it!
Bill gates helped to get this running with dr Fauci, who says 3 years before that a pandemic is coming but yet cant have a vaccine, uhuh Bill Gates loves generic and hates over population

Thanks a lot for your service. When Anthony retired, I pray that the government will recognize your knowledge and experience and place you in a position for every American to learn from you... Kudos 👍
Thank you...you are an amazing teacher. I studied biology 25 years ago in India and I wish I had a teacher like you....I would have persisted and worked harder. I always loved biology but as a young person, the teachers never engaged or explained. One was expected to rote learn...🙁. But, it’s never too late to learn🙂.
That Pokemon reference made me happy. The fact that you made this video, with easy to understand illustrations makes me even happier. Thanks for the work you're doing! The media is abhorrent at this point.
I am mesmerized by your knowledge. As a nurse, I studied biology, chemistry, microbiology, epidemiology, pharmacology, etc, but never in this detail. I love your teaching style. Thank you so much. You make it much easier to understand.
RUclips already deleted my vid. They only want you to see what “they” want. This is to let the public know what going on behind the scenes of the #covid19. What a great presentation. On a scale of 1-10, this is a 10. Informative, Educational, fast paced, intellectually enriching. A sweeping survey - filled with great technical depth - but explained in a manner that it can be consumed by the average person - with no medical background. As an Information Technology Architect - I really appreciated the usage of the diagrams (and color-coding) to communicate this information.
GOD BLESS YOU NINJA DOCTOR.....you just gave me the best knowledge so far available with details and in coordination on youtube than any institute can teach me in a whole day........those were golden 47 minutes ....thank you

Watching these videos of Ninja Nerd Lectures about the coronavirus helps me out to understand much more easier. I'm disabled with seizures so it helps me out a whole lot more. You are a great teacher. Stay safe
Hey ninja nerd. Great video as usual. I have to correct some of the molecular bio here though. When the spike protein binds to the ace 2, and TMPRSS2 cleaves the spike protein to expose the fusion peptide which inserts into the membrane, the virus doesn’t enter the cell vis endocytosis. It enters via fusion of the host cell membrane and it’s vial envelope and dumps it’s RNA into the cytoplasm. The second thing is the gene expression portion. You are correct when you said that the RNA will be initially translated into polyproteins first. But this is to create the replicate transcriptase complex which will include the rna dependent RNA polymerase. This replicas transcriptase complex then proceeds to transcribe the genes encoding for the structural proteins via a process called discontinuous transcription to produce the sub-genomic mRNAs which will then be translated into the structural proteins.
I think from one professional / scholar (you) and a professional colleague (him), you should send him an email directly (and delete your comments) to share your disagreements. This is like contradicting your professor in the middle of his lecture. He (Ninja Nerd) did great explaining his findings and analysis. It is up to us to take notes (believe him) or decide on leaving his classroom.
Zach you guys are national treasures. Absolute national treasures. You do so much good with your information you share and without any agenda behind you other than to explain things so people can understand many different health issues, physiological issues, etc. There isn't enough good I can say for you guys. You spread absolute GOOD with every video you make. You help so many people I know to understand more about many things, and of course, COVID-19 that many are not getting good reliable information because of a variety of issues (chosen sources, etc.). I love you guys. LOVE LOVE LOVE.
This was great. I have been trying to keep up with the research but it's easy to get bogged down with the details. Watching this, I realized that what I had been reading didn't go completely over my head. The information was familiar but I still learned so much more. I'm a nurse so I have seen many COVID patients and am aware of our treatment protocols because we have seen patients with DIC, PE's and hypoxemia but it's nice to get a true break down of the pathology behind the treatments. Thank you!
@ΛCΞ A doctorate pathway so it seems. He is lecturing an audience who will be tomorrow's doctors. Notice how many times he uses "patient presents to you" symptom A, symptom B. All in all, given what's been discovered since it was a good lecture.
@ΛCΞ could be, but I learned this these principles in a 200 level undergraduate class at a community college. It's the application of those principles that you find in graduate level classes
@ΛCΞ We use it at the Community College level to study for anatomy and physiology courses, also many medical students use their work to study, etc. And regular people can learn from them. I believe Zach is, in fact, in medical school. He's pretty amazing. He should teach and doctor if he can do both at the same time.

That’s apparently the best video I’ve ever seen explaining the COVID-19 Pathophysiogy in a medical point of view.. You deserve countless likes for this huge effort and comprehensive explanation.. I have a question please; what’s the idea of not having symptoms after getting infected by the virus? Is it related to strong immune system? We know that the symptoms are developing due to an interaction between the virus (antigen) and our immune response to it, but why don’t we have symptoms sometimes?!
Crown.plane Well it depends on how much of the virus you’re exposed to, the higher the more likely you’re going to see symptoms. Also it depends on how quickly you’re can go from a innate to adaptive immune state, where all the cytokines are coming into play.

You guys are the best. Thanks for everything you all do for the medical community. I pass most of my exams because of your videos so from the depth of the chambers of my heart, thank you.
The putative 'L' strain has not been shown to be more 'aggressive' - the finding had nothing to do with disease severity, rather potential fitness. Even this is massively complicated (undermined) by epidemiological effects. The authors retracted the term 'aggressive' soon after publication to prevent just the sort of dissemination of misinformation seen here.
MadMike Foetwenny, thanks for the source material. I’ve been working with an outbreak of 120 confirmed by PCR cases, in a closed community in Texas. All my observations indicate that this virus is not nearly as bad as what I was told to expect. I looked at this data as a possible explanation, but apparently not, as I read through responses to the article to put it in context. It is an ongoing pandemic and I don’t know what the future holds.
I'm a junior still, so there are some things I can't comprehend at all. But I completely love your videos, so I watch them twice to make sure I get most of it!
This guy is overwhelmingly brilliant and talented. Why hasn't he identified himself? What is his name? What is his training? Is he a physician? A scientist? Both? Why are you leaving us in the dark about him? I will have to watch this 3 more times to even get a superficial understanding of what he is saying. PLEASE tell us more about him!!!
I don't know how you manage to know all the things you do, but please keep up the good work. You're an amazing teacher, and I've learnt so much from your very informative lectures. When we cover new topics, Ninza Nerd is where I go to first. Keep going Champ.
Did not do anything to ease my fear but I do want to understand the enemy. Please make a video on treatment options and theories. I had Pneumonia 30 years ago and the event was unforgettable.

see "On the origin and continuing evolution of SARS-CoV-2" published in the journal National Science Review
when I saw the 30%...i was hoping for that is the severe one...one more thing to make this scarier
God!! Everyone seems to want to out smart the other one....Can Someone just answer his damn question without pretending to be an M.D!!
I'm a junior still, so there are some things I can't comprehend at all. But I completely love your videos, so I watch them twice to make sure I get most of it!
Carlos Funez lol, me too!
Riddle me this and riddle me that-It doesn’t surprise me SARS CoV 2 comes from a bat.
Thank you for the information ! I hope more people watch this to recognize that this serious. .
Many thanks for your very useful presentation and valuable informations
This guy is overwhelmingly brilliant and talented. Why hasn't he identified himself? What is his name? What is his training? Is he a physician? A scientist? Both? Why are you leaving us in the dark about him? I will have to watch this 3 more times to even get a superficial understanding of what he is saying. PLEASE tell us more about him!!!
Zachary Murphy, MS/PA
