Why Commander O'Neil is super easy while solo in Elden Ring?

excatly what title says! Why Commander O'Neil is super easy while solo in Elden Ring? it was 10 times harder when i would summon one of Millicent sisters or my spirit and idk why :/ and my armor were so dense i didn't need to deal with the ghosts, i just ignored them xD
