It's no secret that Seattleites and tourists in the Pacific Northwest love to travel to Leavenworth, Washington. There are many things to appreciate about it, and even more reasons to go there. Leavenworth, Washington, was formerly a struggling timber community. The community realized it needed to engage a public relations firm before it became a ghost town when jobs departed, and the economy tanked. One of the best things to do in Leavenworth, Washington, is to go on a tour of the Leavenworth Nutcracker Museum. With over 7,000 dazzlingly colored sculptures, the Leavenworth Nutcracker Museum has one of the world's largest collections of nutcrackers. Downtown's George and Arlene Wagner opened up shop on what is now a museum in 1995. (also known as the "nutcracker lady"). Over 50 countries are represented, with nutcrackers ranging from wood and metal to ivory. Beer and cider at Bushell & Bee are delicious because they are made using apples from Washington state's best orchards. #4 There's a very cute gaming store (D&D, miniatures, board games, a lot of manga, comic books). It has an area with tables for gaming. Very cozy when it's cold outside. Nice change of pace. There are board games for kids, too.

#6 Bike trails. There is a bicycle shop. Even has electric bicycles.
Heading to Leavenworth in July as the 3rd honeymoon stop with my African bride 🤵🏻 👰🏾♀️ She'll be loving the mountains and cute town. And the high summer temperatures will be totally normal for her 😂😂

Can say that the weather was chilly but manageable with a little snow.. not sure what it will do over the next few days but the roads and walkways were manageable. Also we stopped at Wenatchee and honestly had better weather and a better time at their little public market!

We have stayed at The Bavarian Lodge! It's directly across the street from the "town square" on Front St and is in the heart of it all. They also have a wonderful complimentary breakfast! Have a great time!
