I heard Hilary Hahn perform this piece last night with Jaap van Zwedon and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and it was spectacular...she was spectacular. She is technically amazing with a musicality that is captivating and a tone that enchants.

I saw HH in birmingham, alabama. I don't even have a car, but I spent nearly $150 for 2 seats(center stage, row 7). It probably cost me a few meals. I am okay with that. I wish I could see you more, Hilary. Top of bucket list: to finally see you perform the chaconne(bach, you know the one), the greatest piece of solo violin music EVER.

I actually think that Arvo Pärt or Einojuhani Rautavaara is the greatest living composer.
