The Hidden Ball Trick has existed almost as long as baseball itself. It's incredibly rare, but incredibly electric when you get to see it in action...
All music from various MLB Power Pros game soundtracks

A pitcher is not allowed to be in contact with the pitchers plate without the ball. I teach my kids to never leave the base until you see the pitcher make contact

Always love the MLB Power Pros music in the background, the Success Mode simulation music kinda tripped me up since right now I'm trying to recreate Dmitri Petrovich from Backyard Baseball in both 2007 and 2008 as a powerful and speedy catcher/first baseman.

Juan Uribe sort of retired because of a hidden ball tho, check his last ever play at MLB and you’ll find Mike Trout smoked a liner right at his nutsack, Uribe was helped limping off the field. I can only assume that one of his balls is hidden at that point.

That’s nothing… My favorite move was hooking my fingers into the belt of the runner at 3rd when he was gonna tag and run home!.. bawahahaha!.. Oh, they hated it!..
The best part is, I knew eventually I’d be on 3rd, and turn about is fair play, right?… But I simply unbuckled my belt and ran home anyways… And the 3rd baseman was standing there, holding my belt!..
    Ejected!.. bawahahaha!..

Honestly one of the worst videos I've seen on this channel. Reasons why:
    - Repetitive storytelling
    - Unlike his teammates, Jose Altuve did not cheat. If he ever heard the trash can while he was at bat, he would get mad at his teammates later
    - Showing that entire 34 second sequence at normal speed was unnecessary
    - The hidden ball trick has been pulled off in a few well-known baseball movies. There was no mention of this or even any footage shown
    - The hidden ball trick rarely happens and is rarely even attempted despite its simplicity, which is confusing. There was no discussion as to why it doesn't happen much more often
