I read the novel, and the scene when Lao Wen left A Xu after he had learned that A Xu could not live longer than 3 years, he said in the rain that "it's ok because i haven't liked you too much to the point that i cannot live without you." But then he spent the whole night drinking and running. That made me drop my own tears. Obviously, the reality was too much for Wen Kexing and he only tried to deny it by those words. But his heart does not let him escape from reality that easily. He is tortured and must come back and face it, that the only one he has cared so much about is going to die.
The last scene where Zhou Zishu resolves to kill Xie'er or die trying to protect Wen Kexing, he originally says something along the lines of, "how dare you hurt my man?" so the title of this video, although hilarious, is actually 100% accurate.
One of my favorite scenes is where ZZS goes "save it." The look he shares with WKX is so sweet. WKX seems so shocked that he would stand with him against everyone.
I love Wen Kexing in the red robes and Zhou Zishu in the blue. The costume dept. really nailed it with those. I wish they'd been wearing them at the end of ep. 36, but the the blue and white robes they both wear at the end of ep.37 make up for it.
I like how wkx is supportive of his husband lmao he is always like: yes go husband beat them up! But the minute husband gets hurt, he goes into I am gonna kill you all and eat you mode lmao
