I know it’s a small change so it’s not that serious, but I did like when you showed the whole decklist while doing the deck tech at the beginning. It let me kinda try to figure out what the deck was doing and see if the player describing it was being truthful about the decks goal, or leaving stuff out. Try to guess hidden themes etc.

Whoops, that’s what I get for going to the comments before the video has reached the deck tech part. So this system is better than what it sounded like it was gonna be (thought they were implying there would be no visual deck tech, just talking about it as they played). This isn’t bad, the only complaint I have is not being able to see the cards people are playing in the first few turns.

I think that Kenreth could be an interesting commander for Phil's deck, as you can force other players to take certain game actions like drawing cards, gaining life, or reanimating creatures to get triggers off of his stuff.
Phil probably going to win more games now that he can’t turn 1 sol ring and get archenemied every game
I feel the house ban was to give Phil a helping hand, not to neuter their decks lmao
Since Crim is playing again, it's going to be Tomer out first more times than not. Crim seems to only target Tomer no matter what else is going on at the table
Crim definitely seems to feel afraid of most things Tomer play. Although Tomer also does often play green and or artifactish deck which Crim auto targets.
Commander Clash Crew: Golgari artifacts, that doesn't sound all that good.

Tomer's deck actually looked really sweet, GB Artifacts is normally just mind slaver loops so, this was pretty cool.
My Glissa deck has been slowly transforming into eggs over the years. It's basically 100% eggs now, and I'm okay with that. No mindslaver though. I think I cut that in like 2016. I have to either nim death mantle loop su-chi, or do the more eggy krack clan scrap trawler shenanigans.

am i missing something? they literally put their entire decklists up just like they always do. they just did it with the slightest change in timing
I actually think Seth's deck would have performed better if he hadn't lost so much to the painful quandry. Nashi seems like a decent commander for a budget/mono colour themed episode.
Don't feel bad crim, literally everyone I've seen try to cast the adversary cycle on mtgo messes it up the first time
Love the videos guys! The only thing to do when not playing Magic is watch other people play. That way the fun never stops!
I have a few theme suggestions for episodes I thought I would share:
1. A week where all the decks are made by someone who is not playing this season, (e.g. Richard), and he chooses who plays which deck.
2. "Tomer's Advice" a week where everyone plays more basic lands... by playing zero nonbasic lands.
3. Similar to "Random Card", each player is given a random keyworded ability to build their deck around. (e.g. Madness, Cycling, Trample, Evoke...)
4. I think you've done it before, but having each player restrict their card pool to a single expansion block is always cool.
i like the first one, one of my favorite commander clashes was when tomer built everyone's decks
All of those are great IMO. I'd expand that expansion block idea about making a deck from a specific plane or a specific story arc. Would give smaller and less pushed blocks more material to work with.
@@qwormuli77 That is an interesting idea, especially if certain Planes were chosen. A block like Tarkir only has 3 sets, but something like Innistrad vs. Dominaria vs. Ravnica vs. Zendikar could be really fun since those Planes have many sets to work with, that are all similarly themed.
Y'know what's funny? If Crim activated Castle Ardenvale to make a chump blocker instead of casting Chromium, Phil couldn't have mindbreak trapped him. Castle Ardenvale confirmed best card in the game.

Among the Clash crew, Seth never changes by being the most aggressive (the general, non-MTG meaning) one. 😂 Even Phil is only aggro when playing the spike-y cards, but Seth can be aggro (mostly towards Tomer) even with the most janky decks (and still mostly towards Tomer). 🤣

The funny thing about Dauthi Embrace is that it can be used to basically say "target creature can't block this turn."

This game had all the commander clash staples:
Seth paying 25 life in order to avoid discarding a single card.
Tomer complaining repeatedly about Crim "unfairly" targeting him.
Tomer immediately popping off as soon as Crim stopped countering him.
Crim being in control until making a MODO error from clicking through his turns like it's Starcraft and he's microing a zerg rush.
Tomer winning the game with 13 minutes left on his clock while second place has 41 minutes left.

Love the housebans! There is no reason to allow mana crypt/sol ring in a regular playgroup.
Yeah i stopped including them too. I just feel that, as auto includes, they push out 2 potentially interesting cards for every deck that's built

Crim rep'n Jawbreaker (one of my favorite bands) is the best.
I once played against someone playing an Ich-Tekik/Malcom artifact deck and it was hilariously fun to play against. Ich-Tekik just makes artifacts decks in unorthodox colors for the fun of it.

I love the banlist, I just wish the decklist images before the game came back, it gives much context to the starting hands
The decklist images will be bad, although I'm unsure if they will be before the game or during the first turn or two.

I gotta be real, I don’t understand the banning of Dockside but not Mana Drain.
I'm halfway with you, but with mana drain, at least the opponent has to play a big spell first and you have less control over your use of that mana. It can be bad, but it's nowhere near as bad as the average extortionist play. Could understand the inclusion, too, though.
@@qwormuli77 Sure, but Dockside has the same issue of depending on what your opponents are doing. It’s just less timing restrictive.
Im still trying a cedh staples banlist for my edh table.
Cause there is a reason why cards are so powerfull that it will warps cedh tables, so this can be true for edh too.
Ofc not every cedh staple is that strong or only a staple as a combo piece. So still tuning on that.
But that helped me to look at cards a little different and understand the "power" behind cards like sol ring or rystic study.
I think you guys also allready thought things through, but i wonder if that was also something in your consideration :)

Im so glad the fast mana is banned, ive found a few of the games from the last seasons hard to watch because of fast mana draws, im looking forward to more fair games and ones where the sol ring player doesnt spiral out of control or get killed first
Rhystic and tithe are huge as well since they pretty much guaranteed a boring game since no one dealt with them.
These should be in the vanilla ban list too IMO.

I would like to see the deck techs back at the beginning, but I understand why you took them out. As for the ban list - I think some notable exclusions are mana drain, fierce guardianship, force of negation, and narset/notion thief

Idea for a game / season: Mindcensor EDH - If an effect you control causes you to search your library, search the top ten cards of that library instead.

GB Artifacts didn't win last Commander Clash games. It did well on stream though.

I hope this season won't just be episode after episode of Crim only targeting Tomer for reasons I still can't figure out. I get that people have to be attacked/interacted with, but when one person constantly laser-focuses on one other player every game, it doesn't make for a fun play group experience

@@mark1A100 You're right. When Crim only targets one player at a 4-player table, that player doesn't get to play. In my group we call that BM-ing, but I guess that's Crim's "schtick"

why was tomer so upset. i get its annoying that he's getting hated out but at that point (1 hour and 10 minute ish in), as far as the information on the board is concerned, he is the scariest person. A full grip of cards and a ton of mana.

I know. He's all poor pitiful me and doesn't seem to think people see what he's setting up. The end of game showed perfectly why he was being attacked and should've been taken out first.
First, at what point do you genuinely feel Tomer is "so upset". You say you get why it's miffing to get your five mana do-nothing jank commander hated out three times in a row, but you seem to not understand that at all. Besides, If value was the problem as you say, why didn't they remove his or Crim's value engine pieces?
Actually, I agree with that. Why didn't they direct an iota of hate to those engine pieces? Crim got like two full grips of cards from two creatures, so having a full hand from not casting anything due to your commader being annulled shouldn't be the scary part.
